I often wonder why the jury cannot sit behind an opaque screen which allows them to see all the events and people in the court without them being able to be recognised and harrased for being on the jury.
More so.in a case like this where there is a history of unfriendly supporters being able to threaten the jury members.
To fully protect the jury and still allow them to do their duty why not let them sit out of sight but watching all the events in court to make an unbiased verdict.

Why the hesitancy? I think they're bending over backwards, giving him every chance AND MORE to guarantee that, once the trial is over, IF he is convicted, there will be absolutely nothing that he can use in an appeal trial. Because if he's convicted, it's guaranteed they WILL appeal, but an appeal claims that the original trial was unfair in some way, which led to his conviction. And I think this judge and others (not the south Florida one) but I think this judge is going way out of his way to make sure there's NO legitimate claim of unfairness, that could get the original trial overturned. -- That's my guess as to why they're letting him get away with all this stuff.

At the last trial, Trump swore he would have won, if only he had a jury. Well, he got his wish. Surprise, surprise, he's not happy about having a jury. You just can't please some people.
Looks like it's in process now. There will be that hearing (not a trial, a hearing) Tuesday on violations of the gag order. By Tuesday morning EST, dolt45 will have made numerous additional violations that will be used as evidence against him. There is so much of that type of evidence that the hearing will result in a summary judgment. So hopefully sometime next week he'll have a cell to sleep in.

I realize that the jurors are remaining anonymous, but couldn't they also take part in the trial in a separate room to completely separate them from Trump's glare?
If the whole trial had this, trump's incompetent counsel would immediately appeal on 6th Amendment grounds. And I think they'd win despite thier own incompetence-because moving the jury does raise issues of a fair trial.
And then they'd have to do the trial ALL OVER AGAIN.
I don't want a legitimate appealable issue that favors trump. I want him held accountable, I want no grounds for appeal and I don't want any more delays.

From what I’ve been hearing trump breaking wind in the court room and they say it’s so bad that the lawyers and others in the court room are complaining. George Conway says the judge is going to have more than a gag order to worry about.
Trump's re-tweeting of Jesse Watters's tweet should have gotten him sent to jail the very next day.

@@albertheidger645 I don't get how Trump can get away with so many violations of the gag order. The judge sets a hearing date on it for a week later. This isn't something that requires any hearing or any delay. Merchan should be able to summarily hold Trump in contempt and fine him or send him to jail on the spot.
Afterthought: I said "should". No, he _does_ have that power, and I don't know why he isn't using it.
The prosecution should be allowed to bring in the evidence from those other cases. It helps to complete the picture.
The Rules of Evidence govern what prior bad acts etc can be admitted at trial. I'm sure these guys are on top of it.

I agree Trump needs to go to jail. But please keep your patience. The justice has to think about appeals and he wants to prevent a mistrial. Trump is trying to get the justice to lose his temper and make a mistake. Also, Trump wants to be a martyr. He wants to fundraise over his bull crap. So, yes, he deserves to go to jail, but we also want the outcome to be held on appeal.
