To rotate templates, I use the middle mouse button. I'm not sure if it's an option somewhere or just the way things work.
I tried that, it didn't work.

Thank you for the advice. I'm playing Forged Alliance for a year now and didn't know that mass fabricators give adjacincy bonus to land factories. lol
yes, i never see the T3 Landfabs and T3 MassFabs...
each Connection save 5 Mass in the Produktion.
I think the better combo is to make 5 Landfabs and 4 MassFab in the Conners.
so each MassFab will produce 16 Mass and save 15 Mass in Produktion of Titans, Percys, Mobile Shilds, AntiAir, Sniperbots XD
and with 5 LandFabs you have 1 more Unit per Tick.
Let us think: a Percy costs 24 or 25 Mass per Secound. with 3 Massfabs it need only 10 Mass
and 5 Mass with 4 Massfabs, but that is not cost efficent and the Shilds have no space...
Same works also for Air. Torps, Bombers and "Kannonenboote" (i do not know the english word for this helicopters) cost much Mass, what is reduzed to a cheap produktion. You need only good power.

Maybe an template to trap units into not being able to move freely (even tho it affects yours as well0
I know a chess horse moviment one that is more to make enemy slower.
I believe that firebases are mainly useful for buying time. if they waste your time they are counter productive. you shouldn't be relying on a firebase as your main defence but rather as a tool to buy time for your units to get to that area for the defence. if you rely on a firebase entirely for defence you will lose mass for mass.

there is a mod for FAF known as template rotator, it's not integrated into the game as of yet
IDK how or if it works, I've never used it, I just know of its existence

Are templates saved for life? or do you have to make a template every game you play?
saved unless you uninstall the game or mess with your settings.
The radar template is not useful at the T1 there good at the t2 and amazing at the T3. I would have put the one for the t2 arty and the mass fab
I saw a person streaming, he was playing a campaign mission, he had a custom template for some giant stupid firebase. Lots of noobs have firebase templates, but this one was specific to one spot on that particular campaign map. Like he's going to play the same campaign mission 100 times, spend 2 hours every time, and always make the same dumb firebase every time xDDDDDDDDD I died inside but I was also dying of laughter

what units can shoot down uef drones land or air only or aa
All AA, and all air to air fighters can shoot down drones with the exception of the t3 ASF. The reason the ASF can't is because they will give underneath shields to shoot the drones and if they miss they can damage ground units and structures.

i dont use template for fire base. i cant rotate it, i have all other templates
There's a setting that lets you rotate it. In the options menu. I found it earlier and set up a firebase template
