What is the pen like tool you hold down the rock with? where can I get one? thanks

Heather Gutknecht it is an embossing tool. I buyed mine at the craft store. You can also use an dry ballpoint pen or a big toothpic.

And what colours did you use for the stem?

Hi, I used acrylics from Golden and daler rowney. I do not remember I think ultramarine blue some olive green, titanium white, and an organge yellow.

I mostly use watercolor brushes from da Vinci Nova synthetics 1570 size 0/5 till 2 for rocks. Bigger for painting on paper.
