MERRY CHRISTMAS, thank you for painting this rock slowly. I wish I could see how little paint your actually pouring on brush. My 1st sunset is nowhere close to yours, practice practice.
Hi I have a question I wanted to paint beautiful and colorful designs on maybe 10 stones and place them around my cousin's grave I want them to preserve for a long time and not wash away do think if I saran wrap them will it help?
If it is this stuff that you may use in kitchen then no this is not a good protection. Acrylic paint will not washed away from rain. The killer is the sun. Especially red tones will fade. Invest in a good Varnish like from liquitex. And read the product description if there is something written about UV protection.
I've watched many of your videos now, and I love your work! Sometimes, though, I wish I could see the color pallet as you are dipping into it. Did you dip into the dark color (dark blue or black) to go around the back edge of the sky? Guess I'll have to surprise myself as I try to do one of these. Thanks for the inspiration.
thank you. In my newer videos I show my pallet. I can't really remember for this stone. But the black is only used in the foreground. Maybe I mix in a hint of blue into the red to get a violet for the edges. But it can be that this only pure red.
Thank you, I use it because I have it. There is no reason. At the begining of my rock painting career I used titanium white. Sometimes I think gesso has more adhesion for the paint. Don't miss my next video. There I show why I prime my rocks.
This is a super simple rockpainting. You need only few colors. Do you want to see more landscapes on rocks?

It's beautiful...

Muy bonito, para q brille q le pones, what do you put at the end for shine, barnis?
+Marina Muntz thank you. I put on 2-3 coats of glossy varnish from Liquitex. The red ones.
Could I use a red/orange color instead of magenta?
yes
I like it. 😘
Beautiful. I'm curious why you used Gesso on the rock as a base rather than white paint.
Thank you, I use it because I have it. There is no reason. At the begining of my rock painting career I used titanium white. Sometimes I think gesso has more adhesion for the paint. Don't miss my next video. There I show why I prime my rocks.

Hermosos colores,hermoso paisaje☆☆☆
+Fernando Rodriguez thank you
Muy bonito que dios te bendiga
Thank you

Question I’ve watched a few videos on rock paintings and see different people using that white stick thing. What’s it called? I want one.
It's an embossing tool. You can use a woodstick or a tooth stick or a pencil. I use it to hold the rock.
Wich type of Paint is this ?
I use acrylic paints from Golden and Daler Rowney.
Великолепно
