I have 100W + 80W solar panels on my small summer house feeding a 100Ah battery. Through a 1000W inverter I can run my heat pump in AC mode to keep down the temperature in the afternoon.
The heat pump will just draw 200-300W to lower the temperature a few degrees.

No, you'd need a complete solar system for that.
These are only mini splits for single zone setup.

How is the maximum DC input is 2500 W and you have installed almost 2000 W but the monocrystalline have efficiency of 20% so the input power would be 400W which would not power the A/C. Am I mistaken?
The 18000 btu mini split needs 1500 Watts DC from solar panels.
These 6 panels after setup were producing 1700+ Watts
@4:14 you will see the DC power coming in from the Solar panels while using the app. This was a cloudy day.
If a solar panel has 20% efficiency, this means it is able to convert 20% of the sunshine hitting it into electricity.
2500W is the max power the unit will be able to manage

@@mokhasolar if you're asking why am I not getting 1600W, you're not going to get the exact amount. The panels are rated to produce a certain amount of power, therefore you will receive "up to" that amount.
If you're asking based on the thought that panels are 20% efficient. Bear in mind that it's NOT 20% of the 1600W but rather 20% of the sunlight is being absorbed by the Solar Array making it able to produce "up to" 1600W.

The current/amps that the 18000 btu draws is about 5.5Amps at that time making the power - 225V × 5.5A = 1237.5W
