Love it that you have AC. You deserve it. I have the Jackery 1000 and run my 6000 btu stand up ac. In my van when traveling. Had a hole cut in the floor for venting. Will run for approximately 8-9 hrs, but my van is extremely small. Recharge with solar, DC or electric.
We would put a box fan in the window in the early morning to draw in cool air In our large house. Then shut everything up to keep hot air out. Run air condition less during warm temps. Amazing how much cooler the house stayed.
You can keep it higher than 70, maybe 75-78 inside. The AC will take humidity out of the house and that alone will make it feel cooler. Then the AC won’t have to work as hard to keep it cool. Get the insulation and walls done. Drapes or reflective film on your windows will help keep the sun from blasting heat inside. Just a couple tips. Not raggin on you

They are so cute boy they are getting big. Yeah I think putting in the air conditioning in is a great idea. Cause when your working you can go in and cool off 🥰
I think you meant to say it was pulling 400 watts on full load and 80 on eco. What we do is use the generator to get the tiny house to temp then plug into the bluetti. Mine is about 600sqft though and I’m running a mini split. Pulls about 1200 watts on start up and 400watts when at temp. Still doesn’t last all night because we are only pulling in about half the watts we are taking out but it definitely lasts longer that way. I have a window unit I was thinking about putting in at least upstairs
Interesting. When you get some solar panels on the roof you should be set for large use items such as the A/C and save the Jackery and generator for a true emergency.
@@jantravia6984 I think that it would depend on the size and wattage of the solar panels, as well as where one lives in the U.S. Since panels can range from 200W to 800W, the number of panels would vary.

As you progress buy a gas powered Honda 2200 inverter..gas..use your Jackery as back up...do buy the extra tank or just get the Honda EU 2800 itll run from 14 to 20 hours!!And if you ever shop for ac again, consider an inverter window unit! Uses very little power.
The new inverter compressors use so much less power. It will pull a lot of amps none the less. Vent your peak in the roof. Cool air sinks, so the heat will go up! That is why old houses have double hung windows. Lower the upper pane and raise the lower, this creates a bit of a cooling effect in those old homes. With this said. the cold air will go up, cool stay down. So when you let the hot humid air go up and out, it will be easier to cool the lower 6ft. In winter, the same, the upper is warm.
Awesome that you can run A/C off the Jackery!! Btw, the foam you put on the bottom goes between the window panes at the top of the open window. If not you’ll lose air out there and bugs can fly in through there.
I got a jackery 1000 and haven't lo ok led back. Amazing product. Heres a note though, you dont need the jackery solar panels. Most work just fine especially rockpals brand.

I use a generator to run a window unit in my small shop. But it also runs my air compressor and lights and a bunch of other stuff. I don’t think the Jackery would work for me. But if I were to build a small cabin I would definitely look into it. Thanks for the info.
What type of Generator do you use?
@@ARJaymusic it’s a generac Lowe’s 7200 watt generator.
So proud for your ac!! I know you are excited!! From Montgomery al
Just think how nice it will be to drop a sheet at the bedroom entrance and block off that tiny room with AC! I bet the Jackery would have enough juice to run it for many hours!
I've read that a ductless mini split is more energy efficient than a window unit
Great video! You nailed it. Thanks for sharing the baby bunnies
Once you put a door on, will work much better. Awesome addition to your house.
