Maybe stop eating like a filthy slob and buy real food? $200 a week on groceries is INSANE. 1lb of hamburger meat and some expensive buns are around $16 from sprouts, that makes 4 burgers. That’s 4 burgers a day for $540 a month, and already more food than you need. Get a 30lb bag of rice for $20 and that will feed you for a month. There will always be workers to work the minimum wage jobs. The literal point of minimum wage jobs is to get basic experience working a job so you can apply for better jobs. A big problem people have is they just expect to everything even though they have absolutely zero labor value
@@wojtek9675 the problem is that the large majority of jobs even ones that require college or experience are at minimum wage or only $1-2 more which is not enough. I believe I was only able to do it because I have no kids and I had no bills at the time so I could keep job hopping to something better every 6months to a year for awhile. If someone needs to fill those rolls there will always be someone stuck in them, and since they are a large portion of the jobs available it's not just going to be unskilled or new workers. For example we have a serving staff shortage in my area and everyone is complaining no one wants to work, well they want to work just not for minimum or less than minimum wage. Facts
If you spend $200/week on groceries, that’s on you.
If you are currently struggling hard and can’t make $300/mo on groceries work then you need to seriously reconsider your “relationship” with food and get your priorities straight. Budgeting is not taught enough, but it’s one of the most important things to understand. $100 in fast food isn’t even enough for 4 days of full meals.

People have not been accepting lower paying jobs in my area and all I hear all day is how no one wants to work and that no one can find anyone to apply, but it is because they are offering too low of a wage and everyone is chosing higher paying jobs or just moving somewhere cheaper. I wonder how long things can last like this.
I know at least one nurse who has to live out of her car because in order to rent you need to make 3x the amount of rent and she does not make enough. She went to school and has skills just to get a job that can't cover the basics, and unfortunately still makes too much for social assistance programs.
Now I get it I was able to find a way better paying job but it shouldn't be a luck game.
Workers are starting to realize their value and it is causing an employee shortage in these minimum wage jobs. We don't have enough young kids out there to fill them so something eventually has to give. Maybe robots who knows.
@@TurtleDude05 Paying “above minimum wage” is barely enough to survive. In my area $16 per hour full time all goes to rent

Don’t order food, I don’t.
1300 USD is literally more than the average wage in my country. Prices are just as high if not higher than in the US. All that thanks to capitalism and American imperialism.
Yeah this dude, if he's working for a $10/hr job, is working 32.5 hours a week on average as well as attending college. All things considered, he *should* be doing alright for himself, but the greed of people who want more and more money is destroying the livelihood of everyone like him and worse.
@@MathasiaJ I think he’s def a part time worker. It looks like he’s in LA and the minimum wage out there is closer to $17 an hour. Working a below average job, such a restaurant, is harder than most people think. Especially at times when there really weren't many decent paying jobs. They always say just go make more, but it's easier said than done. When you have no family to help and you're strictly on your own, with a low paying job, the stresses are out of this world.
Nah, not really.
Restaurant is the easiest job to geow
You get a manager position once and you only try finding jobs hiring shift leads or managers that pay more you just got to learn how to sell your self and not be a bum I started at 11 and now o get payed 20 an hour after moving companies and working for 2 years it’s not fast but you can make money
@@shellbore3 20 an hour could be decent in some places, absolutely unlivable in others. Tire shops where I live are hiring at $25/hr starting wage so I think I'd rather do that than be a manager of a restaurant for $5/hr less granting the shifts are similar.
Ugh. I kind of agree with all of the eating out. Especially chick FIL a, there's no way that's cheaper than making it at home. A $3.29 double cheeseburger and small fry from McDonald's is but can't imagine chicken.
People just don’t realize that buying fast food IS cheaper when you account TIME. Non rich people not only lack money but also time.
Also “a lot of help at 19” ugh
How does this make sense when you’re buying junk food on your time off? You’d have a point if you were buying food out while working, and if your time is actually worth that much, but otherwise no.
1300 a week would be hard... But 1300 a month and constantly eating out and Starbucks... I am impressed...lordy....
Its hard to not spend money when you live in a world of consumerism and advertisements. But yes, people need to tighten their budgets on these things for their own benefit
It’s really not that hard. Just think about your future. Ask yourself, do you want to live in constant stress and debt, is it all ok as long as you can eat a big mac?
It's not always that easy. Some jobs want your whole time. I've seen employers punish people for getting second jobs or even going to school.
That's when it's time to find another job. It's not as hard as people think. Especially in this economy where nobody wants to work. If you're willing to work, there are places willing to hire you.
