      @@karterdowd606 no you couldn’t. An original 58 in the same condition as this will cost you maybe £500k. Kidneys are currently going for about 20% of that. But if you’ve got 5 kidneys….? But then, you’d make more money as a medical freak lol…

    Whenever I see Dagan sporting the black nail polish, I imagine a big guy like him with a tiny brush putting his nail polish on.
    I find that very funny for some reason. No disrespect intended.
    Very nice LP ! Love the Iced Tea finish too. One of my favorite finishes for a Gibson LP.

    I've been fortunate enough to play roughly around a dozen original bursts between 58, 59, and 60. Its amazing how much variation can be between them. I've played 60's with chunky 59 feeling necks. 59's with "slim" feeling necks, and all the 58's i've played (my favorite year) have had the biggest necks. Have also been lucky to own three original goldtop's two 1952"s and one 1953. The neck on the 53 had a nice "v" to it. Considering picking up a new r8 or r9

That sound...I'm dying to hear you crack into a Jimmy Page/Led Zep riff. 3. You don't need to sell your house to get a nice Gibson.
      They are making the Gibson Les Paul studio tribute with exact plain top and same frets but light hard maple necks that gives me more bite and karrang but some of the mid range asymmetrical honk isn't as pushy as a non weight reduction body with mahogany neck but I'm very happy with tone I get, it's close to a Les Paul special double cut Jr but I love those too !

    It's sounds just my Les Paul studio tribute Cherry burst with a baseball bat maple neck and totally weight relieved And very affordable ($675) is what I paid and it's sounds identical going into my 100 watt 1959 Plexi clone !🤷🏻‍♀️ go figure !?

    • @iaingraham7276
      @iaingraham7276 2 года назад +2

      Wow, no offence meant but I’m tempted to say you have bad ears.
      These aren’t weight relieved, Gibson spend a fortune on finding the lightest mahogany so they can build these ones as proper solid bodies. If you think this sounds the same as your tribute (which is a good guitar) then I can only assume you never heard from the two together without all the overdriven sound that Dagan was using.
      The tribute’s a great guitar for the price. This is in a totally different league.

      This is a Les Paul Standard made to replicate 1958 specifications by the Gibson Custom Shop. They make the high end Gibson guitars, usually reissues/replicas of vintage guitars (such as this one) in a separate facility from the Gibson USA factory and they use entirely different manufacturing processes. The word "Custom" has nothing to do with the Les Paul Custom. This is a Custom Shop Les Paul Standard reissue/replica. When the Custom Shop makes Les Paul Customs like the 54 or 57 reissues they are called Custom Shop Les Paul Customs. Fender, BC Rich, Jackson, Gretsch, etc... also have Custom Shops and just like the Gibson Custom Shop the word "custom" has nothing to do with Les Paul Customs.
