Holy shit, sterling! That INSTANTLY CATAPULTED ME BACK TO SAN JUAN PUERTO RICO where they opened the second half of the snakes and arrows tour. I saw That show I’m (5) different cities. Additionally, I never got tired of watching Neil play this track because the time signatures are just crazy. I’m so proud of you! Every time you come out with another Rush song it almost brings a tear to my eye. You are carrying the Neal legacy well and I’m certain he would be very appreciative of the effort. YOUR WORK IS OUTSTANDING! Dr. David San Antonio, Texas
I love the way your new drum set looks. I also love the double bass drum. You always manage to play the songs perfectly every time. I just really wish you would upload more often!!!!! I would also like it if you zoomed out your camera so we could see what parts of the drum set that you are hitting. I am a 13 year old drummer and I love playing Neil's songs, and I always come to your videos and use your playing as a template, because I know you always get everything exactly correct.
YES! NEW VID! This is so good. One of the rush songs that have eluded me my whole life playing drums. Best person that covers rush on any instrument on yt
Sterling you are amazing. Rush is also my favorite band of all time and Neil inspired me to start playing also. Saw them too many times to count in concert. There are not enough to describe how talented Rush was. You have a special gift and thank you for all your time putting these videos together for others enjoyment. Keep on shredding wood there's nothing like it.😊
It is such a joy to see this young mans work and he dedicates so much time perfecting such challenging material. I'm just thrilled that you're keeping the Neil Peart Legacy alive! Doc David
Nice !!! Been awhile. Epic tune and noticed BD#2. Something about 2 BD just feels better than the twin pedal for me. Like you are in the cockpit playing with your whole body. Usual "sterling" effort. Keep it up !!!!
Aristotle It’s an interesting sound. Most of the drum’s sound is reflected back towards the batter head, into the mic. There’s a cut in projection. I’m glad I tried it. I will play them like this for a while before moving onto something else.
That was awesome. I played that in a band back in 2010. Those double bass drum parts that he does 🎉throughout I tried to do it with one bass drum because I have really bad back problems, but it’s really hard you almost have to use two to do it exact.
Your cover of Red Lenses showed me your skills. This got me to subscribe. But my God the distance between the hihat and snare hurts to watch. You can't get it closer? Is it the bass drum pedal that's in the way?
good job- could you tell us what made you decide on adding the second bass drum ?- it is obvious that the distance to cover between snare and hihat has widened and that could really affect your comfort , timing and endurance ( were you looking for a challenge or is your double bass approach going to another level of importance in your playing?)
Hey sterling I just had a few questions 1. How do you get the camera angle 2. How do you actually here the music when you play I wanna start making videos like this because I’m inspired
Thanks for watching! 1. I have a GoPro mounted to the ceiling. 2. I have in-ear monitors playing the song while I'm making all that noise. I look forward to seeing videos in the future!
Hey sterling. Great video, they always make me happy and I enjoy every one of them, I was wondering if you could make a video on how you make your videos not exactly a tutorial but a show case of your setup.
Glad to see your efforts getting more attention than previously. You deserve a lot of credit for the work you put into these videos. Top quality here from you as always.
I need you to upload more often haha. Nothing brightens my day like a really tight Neil cover. Awesome job!
Sterling is absolutely amazing!

Sterling is a masterful percussionist!
@@sttvoyager1727 no doubt
You are a great study of Neil! Awesome drumming performance!

This is pretty good, but can you play FreeBird? Just kidding great work.

Like the double kick drums
Love the addition of Bass Drum #2
I see a blue tint on the toms, what heads are you using?
Great cover! How do you get your drumless tracks?
Good observation. Evans G2 on the batter side, blue Hydraulics on the resonant side.
Sterling Fuentes how are those working out for you, do they sound better than one ply reso heads, was thinking of doing that to my toms
Aristotle It’s an interesting sound. Most of the drum’s sound is reflected back towards the batter head, into the mic. There’s a cut in projection. I’m glad I tried it. I will play them like this for a while before moving onto something else.
Sterling Fuentes what sizes are the toms, they look bigger as well. Apologies for the excessive comments, you just have that Peart sound.

Hey Sterling, correcting for your increasing skill level, what do you think is the hardest Rush song to play that you've covered?
When i die, i expect to be asked what did you think of that holographic reality you just left, I will say, Can't we talk about Rush.
I saw that you do genesis songs too, once you finish every rush song you should setup your kit like Phil and do a bunch of genesis songs lol
I don’t know why but in my head I thought you already covered far cry but then I got the notification. Neil’s spirit lives in you man!! Much love
There should be no down votes. I think people are just being contrary.
Sterling this is awesome! I love the better view of the double kick. Keep it coming!
That double click IS SICK!
YES! Been looking forward to more, and newer material on top of it! Another masterful performance Sterling!
Amazing work!

I'm a guitar player, but this session has definitely upped my Far Cry air drumming game in a significant way. :) Absolutely fantastic!
