You were lucky.. I wasn't, we watched it in 2D, my parents don't really like 3D (or IMAX) and it was still an incredible experience, Hans Zimmer's perfect score made the atmosphere for the film, sometimes it literally exploded the cinema, the visuals were magnificent, personally my favorite part of the film is the last third and a bit the middle too. I know the first 3rd was the best but the story really expanded itself in the 2nd half and from the minute they arrived to Arrakeen, I knew this is going to be one of the biggest and most epic achievements in film. Villeneuve can't make a mistake. That man is a genius.

It's a good book, bad thing doesn't have to much concept art for character design as i expected
