Following you since the birth of your first projects (I am NLS), I find it great that you are so good in front of the camera and it really "steps up the game". Great knowing about all the projects that you are cooking, I do want a complete "adventure" pack and since your projects are mergeable, it's good enough. Waiting for eXoIF and not only. BBSes, great times. I used to have a little one, where I have to admit I used a door game with personality questions to actually learn how to approach a female user (or two...) - it worked. :P (that was decades ago and way before the concept of GDPR) Since I am a Commodore guy (C64 and Amiga mainly), I hope it eventually gets some love by your team. There are great projects that can get "under your wings" for various reasons... - For C64 there is a great project called "C64 Dreams". Great attention to detail. But the guy that makes it is way too busy with RL, so it hasn't seen an update for like 1.5 year. Yet a great base for an "eXoC64" and is already Launchbox based. Maybe some help or adoption of the project... - For Amiga the "go to" collections that would make a great "eXoAmiga" would be AGS UAE (Amiga Game Selector, last update was this month) and AmigaVision (which is also forked from AGS). These work by booting an actual Amiga environment (patched to "downgrade" to older setups when needed) and within it, you select the game/demo/other-software you need. - I understand the above wouldn't be easy to port to a LaunchBox (with separate game entries), but maybe DamienD collection is easier to adapt (as it uses separate UAE config files to directly start a game). ...just hoping for the future. Finally, I hope your projects evolve to work (better) in Big Box mode too (they need some extra metadata probably).
Without any exaggeration, it can't be appreciated enough what you have already contributed and for sure will continue in the future to video game conservation. But not only conservation, maybe even more to an easy accessibility for everyone interested. So thank you a lot! I will send you some bucks and hope many others will do as well.
Awesome update! Alway appreciate all of the work that goes into these projects! I was just thinking about a possible suggestion for a future update... As great as it is to have the options available as you answer them going through the installation of each game, would it be possible to maybe add an "eXo's Pick" option to streamline the process for those of us that don't have any particular preferences when it comes to which version of the game or which soundcard to use etc.? Or maybe an option to apply all of the most current option for the latest stuff. This might be too much more work involved and a low priority for people, but just thought I would throw that out there.
Already got the the new ScummVM release seeding. Still in awe of hiw much progress the team makes in such short amounts of time. Great work everyone! Also, door games?! HELL yes! Trade Wars, Solar Realms, Interstellar Annihilation and Kanons N' Katapults ALL day long baby! P.S. Can't wait for the video on SpaceVenture, as a very long frustrated backer.
I wish more people would help you with this incredible project so you could compile games in other important languages, such as Spanish. The project and you deserve all our gratitude for this hard work.
Very nice. What size of hard drive would be suggested to install all the projects? I have a 2TB SSD drive with exo, exoDreamm, eXoScummVM, and eXoScummVM SVN and they take up a little over 1.5TB. I wanted to leave a little extra space for actually installing the games themselves.
I happened to stumble across this awesome project and after some youtubing, I decided to get myself a external hdd, got the WD 5TB My Passport, probably over kill for whats needed, but it was on sale for $149. and now I'm currently and impatiently waiting for the whole thing to download.
On the question about including productivity software, I must say after I saw Microsoft Bob on the current eXoWin3x, I was wondering if Lotus Smartsuite with its charmingly skeuomorphic UI would be next.
Thx a lot for your update. But I can't find the user you mentioned, "Rosulka" or whatever her name. Would be nice if you can give us the correct YT handle. I'm pretty sure she also would be grateful for your promotion. ;) EDIT: Ah ... forget my request. I just saw, she already comments below ... :D
Did my comment get deleted or is it youtube? EXO Virtual pinball would be like going to Nexus mods and packing together all various iterations of all the mods there... both morally and logistically.
@@Zontar82 Many reasons but there seems to be a character limit here as my long reply just failed. Would you want your old version jank from 5 years ago shared around forever when the current sites need traffic to host your latest version? There's a lot of misunderstanding about how virtual pinball works and EXO team could better go and make EXO95 before even considering that project. Just go get the latest versions from the correct sources, it's all free and these are current ongoing passion projects, with real updates not abandonware that need preserving. Only reason do do this would be to make a VP9 thing for the 0.000001% of people that need to run virtual pinball from a windows XP operating system.
Doing gods work in the retro community. Thank you!!!
Thank you for these eXo projects. I can see the passion you have in preserving these games, may it never fade.
Your updates are always a highlight to my day. Discovering exodos rekindled my love of retro games.

You guys are kicking ass!!! thank you for all the work
Really appreciate all the work on all the projects by you and the team. Very impressive collections all around.
I love the callback to the BBS days and L.O.R.D. - best days ever.
Love the idea of playing Wonderland in various formats, I bought it at release and was just amazed. I also have the Magnetic Scrolls Collection.
Thank you for all the work you do! As someone whose dream is to buy out and host dead MMOs in the name of preservation, you're a real inspiration.
godpseed sir, your job will probably be more busy when all those "live services hurr durr" will stop to work, and very soon I might add
Thanks for all the hard work.
I am excited for pinball! Magnetic scrolls Wonderland is amazing.
We called them "text adventures" back in the day.
Very nice.

As a 12/13 year old, I used BBS in a very different way. Maybe I was too young... maybe not.

Had hours of fun with eXoDOS
