Thanks for sharing. Was looking on how to cook my first rack of Donkerdraai Kalahari Lamb on a Weber. Your video came up first, didn't bother looking further because yours looks amazing. Thanks again. All the best, Sean.
New follower here, I love lamb, I'm Mexican, so my favorite recipe is in the pit! But I'm away from my family in Mexico and a full lamb is just too much, I'm gonna try something like this, I make a family here now but is small, that's a perfect recipe. I see myself, I love grilling with one hand and my beer in the other., having those habaneros is a plus., I'm subscribing right now!
Looks heavenly. I will use this recipe tonight for my whole lamb ribs. Keep them coming. One thing, though - you contaminated the spice and salt jars by digging in with your oily, meaty gloved fingers. I always prefer to pour the spices out from the jar, to keep them clean, unless I measured out the exact amount and plan to use the whole thing.
Great to see a local channel with some of our favourite local cuts of meet 👍🏽 keep them coming One question... is there any benefit or difference with searing thr ribs at the beginning vs the end?
Howzit man. Wellcome to our channel and thank you so much for your support. Personally I like the reverse sear method (searing meat the at the end) for one reason and that is that I have found that this method keeps the internal moist etc so stable. This METHOD however for me works only on certain cuts of meats. If I have a thick cut of meat I would definitely go reverse sear. That is just my personal opinion. Big difirence on the ribs searing initially vs end - dont think it would make a huge difference unless you want to go real low and slow. Stay safe. 🔥🔥🔥👍
In all my braai experience this is the first time I learn of taking the membrane off. Please could you do a birthday braai video, where you do perhaps starters, mains and deserts? I see you made the bread in this segment, nice one! Wow, so happy to have stumbled on your page.

Meaty Mike, thank you so much for that. Glad you enjoyed that and you are 100% correct, Lamb rib is one of my all time favorites. Man do they come out nice!!! Thanks for the comment. cheers man.🔥🔥🔥
Hi Charl, offcourse you can ask. Here goes - steak or bbq spice, dash of mustard powder, garlic powder, mixed herbs or your favourite dry herbs. I USED about 60% rub and complimented the rub with the rest of the ingredients. Be mindfull of your salt content in the bbq spice so you don't overdo it...enjoy man. 🔥🔥👍
Great video bud, try a butterfly leg of lamb. Go 1 part Nando’s hot marinad and 1 Jimmy’s and some olive oil. Season the lamb then marinade overnight. Use direct and indirect to braai, only takes about 25/30 min braai. I promise, you will not regret it. Keep up your brilliant work.
@@XmanCo you are very welcome. I look forward to seeing it. Love you channel pal. I love all the bread stuff you do too. Those boeri rolls look outstanding. Will attempt them soon.

Thanks for sharing mate. I cooked 2 racks trimmed St. Louis style tonight on the charcoals. Brilliant 👌 I did a low & slow cook for 2.5hrs and mopped them like pork ribs. Just fell apart when we ate them From Australia 🇦🇺 🍻
Surprised you could cook such a thick rack in such a short period of time. What are your thoughts about cooking it indirect for 4-6 hours or so until it’s around 200F (or probe tender)?
Totally agree with low and slow especially if its pork ribs. I found that the Lamb falls of the bone long before. I will have to give lamb another shot at low and slow (smoking). Love it. Thanks for the comment and stay safe...🔥🔥👌
Try soaking your wood chips in water for about 30 minutes before you add them to the coals. They then smoke rather than just burn. Thanks for a very entertaining channel.
