It's not even some really old mutton or actual game animals. It's not like the "wonderbread" meat i.e. chicken breast, which has practically no taste on its own. I just got a whole lamb and wanted a good BBQ recipe, so this hits the spot!
Most people don't like things they just haven't tried or haven't cooked properly. This literally grinds my gears with lamb being gamey as an excuse lol. I ask people what gamey means and they don't know. They just know it's what people say when they don't like lamb. Just say it's gamey. Fools I tell you!!! FOOLS!!
I absolutely adore lamb. I love taking a lamb shoulder and smoking it, then pulling it with a rosemary & garlic aioli to make some sliders. We need more lamb videos!
I am sad (but not surprised) that so few Americans are present in the comments so I figured I would chime in. Lamb is wonderful. So flavorful and lean. Go find some recipes and give ground lamb, lamb shoulder, leg of lamb or lamb ribs a whirl. If your mind is open and your palette hungry it is delicious. I am a Texan and when I have the opportunity to choose between lamb, beef, pork or chicken it is almost always lamb and my fellow Texans think I'm crazy, but I assure you I am not.
I’d love to see you do a lamb shoulder, it’s like pulled pork but lamb, soooo popular here in Australia, thanks for this vid mate love your work and recipes
I’m a New Zealander. I agree with you. Lamb shoulder is my number one BBQ cut. It’s so fatty and delicious! I never realised our lamb is “gamey” down here. I just thought it was what lamb tasted like and it’s a nice contrast to other types of red meat taste like. We can’t do Christmas without a roast lamb.
Never thought of doing a lamb shoulder. I've done a couple of legs on the smoker and they were amazing. I've also done a 3/2/1 smoking of the lamb ribs and they were amazing as well. Going to be butchering a couple lambs in November will definitely be saving one of the shoulders to give it a try.
Good grief, Where have I been? What a fantastic, funny, well edited, and information filled channel. That's like the trifecta (because "trifecta" means 4 things when I need it too...sometimes) I love it. Great job, Bradley. You've got a new sub. (fyi...Ricer threatened me w/ physical harm if I didn't watch your video. Now I'm going to threaten him with physical harm for not telling me about your channel sooner.)
I'm from Australia this channel is one off the best BBQ channels I've came across. Lamb is really good ppl just need to know how to cook it. Keep up the great work Brad👌🤘🤘🍻🍻
Lamb ribs are sooo underrated. I’m from Australia so lamb ribs are a lot cheaper than pork and beef ribs (50% cheaper). Flavour of lamb ribs are awesome too! Love your channel mate keep up the good work!
MOAR lamb content please! Shank, leg, shoulder, whole lamb on the big chudbox, etc.! Be the change you wish to see in the world and inspire our American brethren to eat more lamb!
I had lamb ribs, for the first time in my 56 yr old life, a month ago. I. AM. SOLD!! Never have I ever tasted any meat as luxurious. And I live in the midwest! Thank you for your offerings. I'm about to spend this pre-Halloween weekend making some! ❤
I love the vid, and lamb! And I agree with Blue English below, shoulder would be a great vid as well. We live in Thailand, and it is plentiful here, so we would enjoy trying your recipe for same. Keep up the good work mate, peace!
Did the same thing first time I cooked lamb ribs, left top layer on never again haha. Do a lamb shoulder or lamb neck on offset for tacos, life changing. Much love from Australia
As an Australian I love this video we generally don’t smoke our meat I should say traditionally anyway , these days it’s more popular and I’m keen to see more lamb videos , just google Australian lamb commercials and you will begin to understand how much we love it seriously it’s almost a religious thing great work mate keep the lamb coming
Definitely keep the random meats coming. It’s nice to get ideas on other things. Also if you want a moose roast to do whatever you want with hit me up. I’d love to see some venison on the pit.
Bradley im a big fan of lamb, nice name btw. My family is from England and we actually raise our own lamb, smoking a leg with SPG and herbs for about 4 hours at 275, or 135IT is the best. May loose some smoker flavor but cook it in a foil pan to catch all those juices. Then slice the leg and turn it into a French dip sandwich but with lamb. It won't disappoint!
Love barbecue lamb, spent a lot of time the last couple years barbecuing down in South Africa and this year Lamb became one of my favourites to cook! Another fantastetic vid!
Well done dude, Im from Lamb nation Iceland, there is more sheep/lamb here than folks, I thought I knew it all how to cook lamb, your video is aye opener population here In iceland 350.000, sheep's 500.000 Im definitely copy/paste your recipe but with a twist :) thanks, and greeting from Iceland like your video
Hey mate! That outer layer of meat on those ribs is best left on for direct heat cooks! I do remove it if I’m going into the offset though as it tends to not break down as well. Great vidja by the way!
Oh wow - it is so darn hard to get good lamb here in the US and it is so expensive - yet so delicious! Thank you for educating folks! And I agree with the previous commenter - I'd love to see you don something with lamb shoulder or leg of lamb, too!
I love lamb and the ribs are some of my favorite things to eat. Bradley you have inspired me again. The direct heat method along with your mop sauce is something I will be adding to my menu! Thank you again for another great video.
Unfortunately most of the US doesn't grow up eating lamb. Most places it's tough to find if it's not close to Easter. With getting it at most once or twice a year, we don't learn to like the taste, especially when it's more gamey flavored
As an Aussie lamb is amazing. If you have never done it smoke up a lamb shoulder. I do a wet rub mix of garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper and olive oil until its a thick paste. Smear it all over and smoke it like a pork butt, Wrap with some beef stock (3 parts) and apple cider vinegar (1 part) and pull apart, I prefer it over pulled pork.
Dude lamb is close to all we do in Namibia. Love the simple recipe and video. I watch your videos almost every time I light a fire at home. Would love to cook some lamb with you sometime 👊🏻
WE, THE PEOPLE, DEMAND MORE LAMB
LOVE lamb! Can't wait to make this!

Never understood people calling lamb "gamey." Tastes lamby to me, it's just how lamb tastes
It's not even some really old mutton or actual game animals. It's not like the "wonderbread" meat i.e. chicken breast, which has practically no taste on its own.
