I love that the pups always gets a bite.
I did this earlier this summer where I did a dry brine for two days and then I finely chopped garlic gloves crushed fresh black peppercorns and mixed in butter. Once that was mixed I smothered the butter all over the prime rib and let it sit for 24 hours and then smoked the next day. Smoked with hickory at 225 degrees until IT was 130-140. Turned out excellent! About to do it again next week for my Christmas because my family loved it.
I used to work at a prime rib restaurant. Smoking prime rib is my favorite way to eat prime rib. You can also do a nice reverse sear to take this over the top.
Love the vid as usual but if you want perfect Yorkshire puddings (from a true Yorkshireman), here goes, for 6 like the the tin you used it's
2 eggs
2 oz of plain flour
5 oz of milk
Pinch of salt and pepper
Also only use about a teaspoon of lard/tallow in each hole, just enough to cover the bottom and cook for around 20 mins at 220C 👍
Well, I did my first smoked prime rib using master Chud's directions. All I can say is it came out unbelievable. My wife thought the internal piece was a little rare, around 125 degrees, so I took 2 thick slices and grilled them on my grill for a couple of minutes, one minute on each side. I tell you this made it even better. Our roast was around 5 lbs. I tell you.... the second day it was even better. I'm thinking maybe I didn't let it sit long enough on day one, hence better flavor on day two.
That turned out beautiful ❤ horseradish is the way to go
Making one for Christmas, going back and forth on whether to smoke or rotesserie...think this might have might up my mind. Looked amazing.
PERFEEECT! temperature and doneness. Spot on. And horseradish cream sauce is too often overlooked. I like to add fresh minced tarragon. Happy Chud Holidays!
This is how I make prime rib - love it!
Never fails, always entertaining!
Well done, Brad.
Every Tuesday morning is going to be good when there is a new chuds video out!
Love all the videos you do I have been a fan for years and have made your recipes and as far as the string goes as an electrician we call that a half hitch which is great for keeping something together lol
Merry Christmas Bradley!
Man Bradkey that's a great idea fir Christmas dinner! Especially with the mashed potatoes and roasted carrots as Brooke said. Thanks fir another great video and alternative for a holiday dinner..
Love it. Great job 👏🏼
Love y’all, Merry Xmas 🎄
Happy Holidays to you guys!
Yum yum Chud Day!!!!
Beautiful prime rib bro! This is good to go! Thanks for sharing!
Looked amazing Stanley!! I just made some Yorkshire puddings, never had them before, but they are super simple and delicious. I also used the wagyu tallow to make mine.
Wow Brad - Thanks! - Cheers!
OMG! I choked on my beer @14:23. "That was a little too much".
The Tim McGraw t-shirt... I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.
love your videos dude
Totally informational whether your a novice or think your a professional-great and easy tips and tricks to improve you cooks! Beyond the great information, you're freaking hilarious! From the Snake in your boots, the sound effects and treating your ever grateful dog to taste tests! Thanks Bradley... one thing... your Santa Cap Totally rocks and I think you should sell them!
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays!
Definitely making this one when I get the chance
Beautiful! Mouth is watering! Merry Christmas
Bradley - wouldn’t lemon juice tend to curdle the sour cream? I’ve always used apple cider vinegar for a great taste.
So we were talking about smoking prime rib today at work. And I get home, open up you tube, and I’m suggested this. I’m gonna rip the mic out of my tablet. Lol. But I watched the video and enjoyed it. 😂
Wish there was a Chud cook book I could buy myself for Christmas! Next year?
I love your Videos...greetings from Germany ❤
LOL. Delicious looking outcome. Have a great Christmas, best wishes to you and yours.
Just got five 20+LB prime at Safeway for 4.75$ a pound. Now will have stakes and roast for another year. Kings super has them at 5.9 ish a pound still not bad price to stock up on.
Sweet roast brother. Nice job. Hard to beat a nice prime rib with Yorkies. 👍👍.
With that mixture you don't need to add water for the Yorkshire Puds. I use Duck or Goose fat or beef dripping (UK name for tallow I guess) The only different thing I do is add garlic and some herbs like Thyme or Rosemary to the batter (This is added to the flour before eggs and milk)....Either way amazing stuff dude!
"Oh God that was close" I laughed out loud lol
This is top draw cooking mate. I’ll 100% be cooing this!
Everything looks absolutely Ono (delicious) you got this Hawaiian Hooked. Absolutely will be making in the near future, Mahalo (Thank You) for sharing 🤙🏼
Y’all are super cute together! Food looks amazing!
I would have bet the farm on a toaster oven grease fire. Glad it worked out for you sir.
They were on sale this weekend at kroger
I’m in Canada and almost died when he said 200$ fml
Get yourself a good boning knife and buy a full rib section.
You're the best, and I love you.
making this on Christmas. meat from Porter Road
“Nobody’s gonna wanna eat that” well I’m the nobody sir lol
do you have a video on making stock? or do you have like measurements or quantities for the stock you made here? it looks so awesome but i'm not sure if I will have time to replicate. thanks for the content!
SMH. I could just imagine how good everything was!
🎅🍻 Jim. Kansas city Merry Christmas 👍
"I'll do anything to justify buying expensive meat" Right on!😂
Shoutout Costco 👍
Shout out to Lipitor™ for making this all possible for us 😂
What is that a little disc you place the pot on ? a portable burner?
what is the thing he uses to cook on the table?
25lbs last night… $150… gonna buy another ❤️❤️❤️
A touch over for sure but I can't see anyone complaining. I would devour that. Thanks for showing me how easy yorkshire puddings are. I think I'l make some for Christmas!
Is that the toaster you rest your briskets in?
I'm hungry for prime rib now
Yorkshire puds!!
Link to that knife you used to cut the raw meat?
Have you ever cut a rib or loin roast into steaks by cutting with the grain?
The shape is inconsistent and tricky to sear, but I love being able to slice my bites against the grain like a picanha.
When it's in the fridge for a day or two, is it covered or uncovered?
is the pudding a recipe from your mom’s cookbook?
Where the heck did you find "Prime" I went to 3 Costco stores and they didn't have Prime.
Need a link for that hat!
That dog was so fast grabbing the meat, that's all you needed to know...
you put hot stock in a low quality plastic cup. DUDE!!
other than that, awesome video 🙂
Tell us how much that cut of meat cost please.
Got any leftovers 😋
This, ladies and gentlemen is a true pitmaster. Using a REAL SMOKER AND GRILL... None of this adult pretend time unskilled wannabe pitmasters using those traeger ovens that blow wax coated pellet smoke into a cooking chamber! Finally somebody I can subscribe to and I can take serious!!! Thanks Chud!
Prime rib is ribeye steak. THATS IT. That simple
Randalls is selling select rib roast for $6/lb starting on 12/20
For prime?
I was really hoping this was going to be direct heat.
I think I will buy the red car, or I will lease the blue one.
Not sure how he has subscribers when I ain’t seen him comment on anything? Utubebots??
Wonder if she’s a heeler?
You nailed the temperature and fat rendering that I love in Prime Rib! Steaks are great on the rare side but that is perfect for a larger roast! You rock Bradley! Merry Christmas to you, your family and crew!
My life changed for the better when I stopped buying cheap meat. This piece looks amazing!
On me!
A plastic red & white candy cane!
LEGEND...and with the Yorki Puds?? Helll yessssssss...and...always a McBonus to see Mrs. Chud always sportin the cool shirts!!
My mouth is watering. Another great vid. Thanks.
Bought a 17 pound Prime Grade whole boneless from Costco for $13 a pound .. was a great deal. Just like you, going to cut off each end for a couple Ribeyes later then breaking into two roasts, one for the adults cooked to Medium rare and the other for the kids cooked to medium+. Gonna try the Yorkshire pudding for the first time this Christmas. Great episode.
Pretty timely video I am doing a prime rib on the smoker for New Years dinner. I am on the Carnivore diet ,and have been buying whole rib roasts ,and cutting my own steaks also by far the cheaper option.
Just wanted to drop a note: Hubby went to the store to get some filets and there were none, so he bought a whole tenderloin. I cooked it on the Weber to an internal of 110 and my thought when I ate it, best filet I have ever eaten. Couldn't have done that without your guidance.
Definitely one of my favorite channels! Merry Christmas, my friend.🎅🏼🍖🥩🥓🥃
Was planning to make prime rib for this Christmas, perfect timing Brad thank you!!!
Hey Chud what do you think of a prime rib wellington
This looks like Kenji Lopez’s Yorkshire pudding recipe. Do you find this recipe too eggy? I want a more bread like Yorkshire pudding
By far the most beautiful prime rib video compared to the other content being released. Thanks as always!
130-135 is a SOLID medium rare temp range so at 132 it was NO WHERE close to medium. Nicely done!
Ur wrong stop lying to people you don't know what ur talking about just watch video we don't need a comment from u
Can you do experiments with apple wood
I have a 5 pound prime rib ready for me at the meat market Friday!!! Ayoooooooooo
On sale in GA 6.97 a lb
Looks so good! I am making prime rib for Christmas Eve dinner and I will be making your horsey sauce to go along.
Best I could find around me was USDA Select and around $100 for 6lbs. But, got what I could.
I add Worsce, and Maggie's Browning Sauce to my Jus.. It usually carries the salt over to the meat! I love Prime Rib!! I could eat it every weekend... And I used to when I cooked at a restaurant, We served it every Friday and Saturday!!
I want to see you do a rotisserie pork butt on the Chud Box. The Chud Box I ordered should be here this week and that is one of the first things I plan to cook on it, but I want to see how you would do it too. :)
I made Chudstock last weekend and neglected it and it burned to the bottom of my pot. Now this video comes out and it happens to be almost exactly what I'm making this Christmas and making the stock again is haunting me.
Can't wait to try it this weekend. 1st time here. Great job on your presentation. A+. You are a character (In a good way).
Chud I’m definitely glad no one can see me right now because I definitely look like my dog does when I stop and grab a quick sandwich from a fast food place and she is just sitting so nicely in the back seat of my truck with her mouth just dripping all over just waiting for a bite!!! Lol!! Man buddy I am definitely going to have to try and smoke myself a nice prime rib because they are definitely so delicious and definitely do not take much chewing at all if cooked right!! Any nicely cooked prime rib I have just melts in my mouth and that along with a nice seasoning and bark oh my so delicious for sure!!! I have only been smoking meats for the past two to three years and always have a buddy of mine feed out a whole cow for me to butcher every two years and the meats from the three different ones I have had butchered are nothing and I mean nothing like store bought meat by far for sure!!! So much more flavor, tenderness, and a really nice fat content and marbling also!!! I have done a couple briskets, 8 to 10 racks of ribs, 3 or 4 pork butts witch I just did two for several birthdays that we had a get together for and everyone devoured both pulled pork butts, I have also done several beef ribs and maybe a couple other things but not much smoking of meats other than those few things!! Every thing I have tried and had other friends try well every time they come over they are asking me when I’m going to smoke something again because they say they die for more!!! And that’s no joke!!! Lol!! I definitely would love to try my very first prime rib sometime soon but probably won’t be until next summer unless we have a nice mild winter like we have had the last few years here in Iowa!!! Well awesome video buddy and I’m off to watch another one of your amazing videos that has definitely helped me in learning how to smoke different meats by watching your videos!!! Amen brother!!!!
