"I'm stuck in a time capsule/when rap was actually factual
Meanest sht you spit might cause killers to come and clap at you" - "killer Mike"
That’s drill music right now 😂
“The talent use to be the currency” that line and a little before that would make a DOPE SAMPLE 🔥🔥 but you gotta deliver 💯
"The currency used to be the talent." whewwww a word!
8 mile is a classic movie 💯💯💯
Math: Who was Chedda Bob?
Biz: There was a guy Drunk Bob
😂🤣☠️
The room: true, true, true true
"The currency used to be the bars." Straight facts!!!
"attention is the new currency, the currency used to be the talent" 💎💎💎
🤦♂️💡🤯🙏🏿
Word
I'm almost 3mins in and Biz hasn't gotten a word in. I wish they got into the Guest a little more.
Brooooo. Tell me why I seen your comment about 20 seconds he talked 😂😂😂
*before he talked
I like how bro elevated it from a battle rap podcast to a hip hop podcast
Fire 🔥🔥 interview so far. This is the subject matter i always wanted to hear talked about : “attention is the new currency, it used to be the talent “. Salute 👍🏾💪🏾 lets talk about it.
Word......attention literally is dollars now....I don't think you can stop those floodgates, but tricks and gimmicks run out at some point. Hip hop needs another deep cleanse and MCs need spotlight.
Yeah that was a really good sentiment. As much as ppl would ever say that about Tupac, in 2022 we can say he clearly was someone who put his talent first knowing that when you listen to that album you will get blown away at how good he is more than anything else. In other words back then they used to talk up the album now they talk up themselves.
This the best podcast out , ya never try to hard with this shit , big ups for Hoffa for changing the culture
I’m wondering who did Math Hoffa sold his soul to. Seriously, he must’ve got on his knees for this podcast
fr all this seems genuine like you and the homies around kickin it and shit big ups Hoffa
@@MRIDDLE72 why you acting like all of a sudden he got mad success? Most his clips don't be doing more than 500k views. There's kids that get much more views over dumb shit. Ain't nothin here except not too famous rap niggas just kickin it. Why y'all always looking for ways to discredit a brother over small successes?
Seriously, bros should relax, eat eachother out instead of tearing eachother down
We've got to give it up to Bizarre who was one of the original trolls in hip-hop! 😂
Biz is a cool guy met him at least three times he lives here in the A troll on tracks super cool in real life
"THE CURRENCY USED TO BE THE TALENT" BARS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rap beef is real shit, Q Tip was jumped and got his vision fucked up by a dude in Wrecks-N-Effect crew.
The rump shaker dudes beefing with a fuckin tribe called quest.
This show is what the Joe Budden podcast should have been. 💯
Nah Joe act way too funny for that. Math isn’t a character like how Joe is. No hate I just feel like he ain’t as serious as Math.
@@AbstractHomosapien you think that’s why he said it’s what it “should’ve been”
Nobody knows but only a few but Joe Budden really wanted to call the show THE ME ME AND ME PODCAST but he knew that would be too obvious so he just dubbed it his name and ran the show as ME STARRING ME, CO HOSTING ME AND ME. 😂
@@anthonyethan2007 I’m sharp but it’s just the fact that Joe isn’t as serious as math to even think how he does. Them damn pills had him in a chokehold.
Y’all just love comparing anything huh
It would be perfect if they bring the other members of D12 too
Bizarre is there, he's the bald guy
@@jimmstixx473 that's why he said the REST of D12
MECCA OFTEN TIMES IS THE MOST COLLECTED LEVEL HEADED ONE ON THE SHOW. GREAT PICK FOR A CAST MEMBER MATH.
Yeah Mecca brings a different flava
8 Mile isn’t supposed to be a biography. EM talked with the writer of the movie about things he did and things he witnessed to give inspiration for the movie.
Rightttttt cuz. If it was about him the movie would be callled 6 mile!
@@devinjohnson2948 nope Em from 8 Mile road, Royce is from Oak Park/6 Mile but not Em
@@damianoabbina9967 my brotha. Em is from six mile and troster. He stayed literally 8 houses down from my grandma, if you familiar with Icewear vezzo he even explains it’s. Also I’m certain songs he mentions the crib on Chalmers and the joint on 6 mile.

Did Em go to middle school over there ?!? did Em go to high school over there ?!? That’s when you from somewhere…Not I stayed on such & such for a couple years..!! BIG DIFFERENCE … Or did Em spend MOST of his childhood over there ?!? #TherealDetroit
@@chriswil5919 brotha again. Dude went to Denby before getting kicked out for bringing a knife to school. Which is how dude went to Lincoln high, and dude ain’t live there a few months or a couple years. Dude lives there until he blew up(the 6 mile and troster crib) before that the dude stayed on Chalmers. That’s the real Detroit brotha. Also he went to courville or courtland elementary school which ever one is off 7 mile near Nevada. Only reason why I know that is I went to school there and Ms brown use to brag about teaching em as a child. And she had the pics to prove it. Them lil CVS camera photo joints. But yeah man that’s the real Detroit brotha.
Thank you so much for inviting bizarre on. All of d12 are hella talented. Love the “ill” side of of their music almost like a horror core vibe. You either get it or you don’t. Also worth noting I haven’t seen too many bizarre interviews.., gta show some love for that!

MY GRANDMOTHER ..LMAOOOOO I FEEL YOU
The beastiality bars?
Mecca ended that perfectly... Craft your own path... we didn't give ya'll this clout chasing business structure... the media did that... we wanted ya'll to have the bars and similies and metaphors taken to higher places... not this simplified "vibe" shhht, where lyrics don't matter as much as how lit it is....
The beautiful thing about art is that it is subjective. It can be whatever the artist wants it to be. We would be nowhere if hip-hop/rap didn't constantly keep evolving. Today's music may not be to your taste but it resonates with this generation. Just like I'm sure hip-hop/rap didn't resonate with your parents or grandparents like it did with you.
The Roots & Goodie M.O.B? Oh Wow....
i believe he was referring to TheNappyRoots
The only issue with this show is
Y’all keep talking over eachother
It seems like ppl can’t let other ppl talk
Everyone wants to talk
Everyone wants to say
“ i know this guy “
No one wants to sit still and
STFU 🤫!!
Thats i think its more of a barbershop setting lol this show is 90 percent whole hearted talks and 10 percent barbershop talk lol i dont see an issue with it alot of podcast are worst
That’s exactly the problem. Its the lame contrived barbershop thing
Crack baby Era... they had to grow up.... Daddy lock up and momma fighting to stay alive.... Sum of them raise they self now they have no fear
TK Kirkland is up next ….. he got stories with Rappers for days

“The currency used to be the talent” - BARZ !!!!
"The currency used to be the talent". Nuff said! Thanks!
I'm so sorry to say this but we as black are lost for ever.
Why you say that
Anyone who is a slave to any culture is lost
You can’t listen to that song in the end and be proud. 🗑
I hope that someone is connect to academia. These interviews can and will be used as a Hip-Hop culture anthology. Great work and curation of culture. Hope you all are safe.
Too much of an East coast bias and perspective
@@maxen_galan that's intriguing. How could they expand? Other outlets cover their regions. Like the South has ATL, Houston, NOLA, and Mississippi with David Banner.
The older generation passed on ignorance to the younger generation but it was unintentional imo
And now they act like they can't figure out why this generation is so violent.
Not to mention, a lot of the entertainers and crews were super disrespectful. It was only a matter of time before things got this way. Everybody wanted to "Keep it Real". Well, it's "Real" now.
Facts. The older generation like to take credit for the good and NOT that bad
Yea when you look at rap since Pac you see how he kinda single handily changed rap culture to the more ignorant side in certain aspects. He’s my favorite rapper of all time but I’d be ignorant and a fool to deny that fact.

THE CURENCY USE TO BE THE TALENT THATS A GOLD NUGGET/ A JEWEL GET IT
It's sad that most of the newlings in Hip-Hop don't seem to realize, being REAL doesn't mean: Being street/gangsta/killer/tough guy ... Why the confusion?
It simply means, be YOU. Real to who YOU ACTUALLY ARE.
If you are more of a NERD (like lil' dicky for example), and just stay being yourself, that's REAL. If he would've faked being from the streets and all that, .. Fake.
The currency used to be the talent…I felt that
For those that don’t know, 8 Mile is a semi autobiographical film. The movie had some scenes that showed real events from Eminem’s life but the rest of the stuff was just put in for the movie. The mom played by Kim Basinger is based off his mom, Debbie and of course Future played by Mekhi Phifer is based on Proof. The rest of the characters like Wink, DJ Iz, Sol are just made up. Plus Alex played by Brittany Murphy and Jeannie played by Taryn Manning none of them are based off Kim. Also the little girl in the pic is not his daughter, Hailie, she was a child who made her acting debut appearance alongside Anthony Mackie.
Aye MATH get Larry Hoover on da line! Y’all drop jewels on this shit and y’all the niggas who need to be in the room with him and pass whatever the message is. Drop it to “subscribers” only or something 😂
Ended the clip at the most important/interesting part of the interview
People know Em is from Warren, MI. He got his start at the hip hop shop tho. When he linked with Proof, it was a wrap. So yeah, he can claim the D with no issues.
It was passed on playboy. It is easier to get caught becaus eOG rappers admit they were from a hustling background, the same thing the youngyins are doing. With social media and the new montoring and new way to convict over lyrics, the youngyins can't transition fast enough to legit like the OGs did it. There was less cameras and lyrics were more beilavable as fake. With the OGs admitting that it wasn't fake years later, I dont think that helps the younyins trying to make similar transitions.
I love how Bizzar is be in the mix and respected... he can't rap but still a fkn legend in his own lane lol
You should look up Bizarre solo stuff and not just get caught up in the silly image.
Bizzy has some good shir

6:57 once again Esso want to be that guy saying " this ain't what we passed on" talking about the prior rap era before all this drill music and young dudes getting killed and locked up..but it's exactly what was passed on. All these kids grew up more so on the 50 cent era and beefing and honestly just rapping in general since the mid 90s was talking about it and promoting that shit. It was always about ,selling drugs and being "real" or "gangsta". Now they definitely weren't on social media or dropping so much real evidence in the music but that's because there was no social media like today. There was other ways to do it but the main thing was always " keeping it g". The rappers before would always say it and they were respecting for that if they had that image and people believed it. But then it started to be where these dudes wanted to prove shit. And instead of just saying shit, they now video record the shit they do, go live while doing dumb shit and then drop songs with all the evidence against themselves. We can't only blame the previous era of rap music but it dam sure influenced these dummies who now are being locked up and put away for long ass times. Shit is crazy
That white person in the back patiently waiting to get a haircut tho 😤😂
Good show, I appreciate the shout out from my brother @MrMecc BUT ... the incident at the Nuyorican with #ripPH was NOT some rap shit. There was a personal beef, related to someone else getting 150'd years earlier, mixed with weed and alchohol, that led to that squable. Had nothing to do with Rap at ALL. Any time you want the rundown on that, hit me up, I'll come through. Loving the show. Keep up the good work. Just wanted to make that correction. Stay blessed. - GMS
i'm over here like yo that's not biz it's bizarre... then i realized biz is the first 3 letters of bizarre. Putting out this blunt now.
