i wish i could swap the kitchen sink and the grill place or combine them on the same island so i can watch tv while cooking and washing the dishes. but everything else look awesome one of the best i seen so far

I have watched your channel for a long time now and this has got to be my favorite of your builds. You have done a wonderful job on this build. I like the dark gray siding and light-colored stone on the exterior. The dog-trot feature would make a great outdoor living space for sure. The home's interior seems to be light and bright, which i really like. Can't wait to see the flooring! Lots of huge windows too! This home sure has lots of closets! You can never have too many closets! The garage and shop are huge! You could almost make two more rooms out there and still have a really nice sized garage. I hope y'all build a lot more larger homes like this! You are making me want a barndominium. Do y'all build them in Georgia? 🙂

That multi purpose room would be my craft room. That is a dream craft room. The one closet you showed I would use as a linen closet. That closet had the 2 set of shelves across from one another.

Me too. I have a really nice craft room. It is 12 x 12 and really not big enough. I have ran out of space to put things. One thing I have learned through having this wonderful room is when John and I sell this house and move to another house I would like to have my Bible study area separate from my craft room. So I would like an office that is attached to my craft room and yet separate. That way I don’t have to move the project I’m working on. I make intricate cards and gift boxes. It usually takes me a full week to get the card and gift box made with all the other work I have to do along with preparing for Sunday morning Bible Study. I teach the ladies class at our church. So that room is an ideal room for the craft room and office I have in mind. Maybe someday!

The back rest at the head of the booth looked like the paint was blemished, saw a Z shaped swirl on it that looked like it was touched up with a paint brush😊

Can definitely do obscure windows. These windows are custom ordered so pretty easy to do that at the time of purchase.

Josh, I may have missed it, but are the countertops built lower in this one? I’m thinking it may just be lack of lighting and shadowing with the all white giving me a visual do-si-do. I was trying to guesstimate your height. Thinking 6’2” or more. I’m 6’4” 285’. And 12” beard and 14 shoe 😂
Anywho, I’m hoping that when we build to be able to do our counters a hair higher to save on my already fused spine. My wife is 5’6” so I can’t go too too high. Planning to go wheelchair accessible throughout as well. After ending up on wheels, then on a walker & cane a few times now, I can definitely see the value. It’s agonizing getting around a closed floor plan home and even just the few steps and stairs. Newer home but it’s build on crawl space. I’m ready to be back on a slab with zero steps!
Loving the black builds and the various rock work you guys are doing lately. And definitely digging that super slider door. I’d like those and some glass window garage doors. Ultimate patio party setup!

Everything great till he said carpet lol. Can't even imagine wanting carpet in a house like this.
Come on man. 🤷♂️ customers preference. At least carpet is more affordable to change out than some floorings.

How does a black or dark color home stay cool in the Texas sunmer heat? Does the AC overwork? Curious...
It’s actually pretty easily managed. Does not require any excessive over use. We build for air tightness. All of our wall systems we are using the zip system as an air barrier as well as moisture protection. This helps eliminate any conduction or heat transfer from exterior. On our roof it is similar but we use a closed cell foam underneath which is more dense to prevent conduction there before spraying open cell foam. Also our attics are semi conditioned space meaning very little difference in climate from the interior living space in the attic. Lots of advantages to this style of build.
Why is the joint on the first window not in the center of the window put a full piece of stone then a cut one lmao 🤔
Windows can vary in size. Stone can vary in size. Wasn’t a detail we were trying to center.
