Here is song behind story from J-Hope's interview ****** There’s a rather hypnotic whistle that drives “on the street (with J. Cole).” Whistling is as much of a form of communication as it is a biological instrument. What intent or message do you feel this sound relays? Actually, you might find it funny but it doesn’t really have any special meaning. [Laughs] In a way, you could say the song began with me whistling as I often whistle the melodies of the songs I listen to. I was home dwelling on what kind of music to make and I just randomly blew a whistle and that just became the melody for “on the street (with J. Cole).” I instantly liked it, recorded it, and worked on the song with my producer. It came to me naturally, so I hope listeners would feel the same way about the song. ***** Beautiful song.
Thanks for your reaction. I thought it was a dope collab & the kind of low fi hip hop I can vibe to/relax with. J hope is smooth as hell and J Cole is the king of bars - would love to see more from those two.
Hi There, J-hope was actually a street dancer before he signed with Big Hit Entertainment as a trainee in April of 2011. He didn't know how to rap at all, but RM and SUGA taught him. They both came from underground rap, so they were the perfect ones to teach him. And he took what they taught him and developed his own style. The rap line would teach all the members about the world of Hip Hop. And they also studied in America. One of RM's first Western collaborations was with Warren G. J-hope idolized J-Cole, and he chose his name and the title of his first mix tape. BTS did a remix of Born Sinner called Born Singer. released unofficially, one month after their debut. Born Singer-released (7/11/2013) Live w/Eng. Subs-2015 - ruclips.net/video/8cUQ3lF3_O8/видео.html *J-Hope is actually a really amazing solo artist. Please listen to his recent release. He killed it at Lollapalooza in July 2022*. That is also where he met his IDOL, J-Cole, and they were able to set up this collaboration. This song is actually a song to ARMY before he had to enlist for his military service. He is serving right now, but he will be released on October 17, 2024, which is not too far away. J Hope was not a rapper before he joined BTS . . he learned with the help of RM and Sugar (who were rappers). J Hope joined as a dancer and was popular locally before joining BTS. He used to dance to J Cole when he was a teenager and met J Cole at Lollapalooza (where they both performed). Check out J Hope's performance at Lollapalooza. He told J Cole that he was his "muse".

I've never seen anyone address the religion topic so well, while avoiding it at the same time. You have a way with words my man
