Our Hobi has made us the most fantastic song to keep us going after his enlistment. Luke, as you can see from all of the comments, Army are all feeling as you are. Bang PD recently did an interview saying we will not get the BTS of today, that artists need to grow and change. So I am a bit fearful of their reunion after the military.
I love this melody and the whistle sets it off !
I'm not afraid. Things will be different, but remember the best is yet to come. I think if anything there will be more solos after their service is over and not OT7 comebacks as often, but you never know. They have to change and grow as people and as artists but BTS is far from over.
They will probably be a mature group and not like the young version where dancing was really over the top.

I was watching this video this morning, with the captions on, watching and listening but when I read those lyrics I just started crying , its an amazing song but as you said it feels like a double edge sword , your happy listening but then you still have the thought that we will be parted from our sunshine, our hope , our hobi soon but its only for a little while , so its like Jin's songs its a see you later , not goodbye , they will be back. we have to be strong and trust and wait for there return.

I was woken this morning at 4am by a Weverse notification saying Hobi was live. I grumpily turned it on and there was the most beautiful smile in the world. My grumpiness faded away instantly. How can you be annoyed when he's smiling? My heart is breaking because I know he's got to leave us but I am also so very proud too. This song is wonderful. Hobi meeting JCole in the documentary at Lollapalooza was heartwarming as he totally fanboyed.

I loved this song so much! I've always liked these calm and relaxed type of songs. I mean yeahh those upbeat catchy Kpop songs are cool but.. yk there are times when you feel sad, when you feel happy, when you feel a sense of longing or just want to get out of some shtty situation.. I feel like I can listen to On The Street all day long, We can listen it no matter what ur feeling it just hits home especially since it's sung by two of my favorite people in the music industry. It's such a wholesome song.

Thank you so much for just being real about enlistment. It is devastating for all the reasons you shared and it is ok to be sad and upset. I am heartbroken for all of them but I know when it is my bias turn it will be even more so. Its just the same if we were sending off a friend or family member to military-being both proud and terrified.

How is he joining the military? Good question. Because we haven't grown up in the South Korean culture there is no way to fully understand. But realize this...all of the BTS members have always..without hesitation said they would fulfill their military responsibility. Many in the country tried to get a law passed so BTS would not have to go. But Jin explained it perfectly well....he wasn't waiting around for that exemption! No matter what, he would enlist!. He never ever wanted special treatment. Ever! You must realize their whole lives they live with the fact they will serve their country. It is a badge of honor. It's an accomplishment that every male adult "can wear" and hold their head up high. Also, the history of their country being at war, living next to North Korea, and near China, the government has made it a priority to be prepared for...any attack. If their country is attacked..Every Male...even every K Pop idol including BTS will "change gears" and protect their country and fellow countryman. The sad question is ...why do we live in a world where people and countries hate each other measured on the color of their skin, their religion, their location, and their opinion. Why? Why? Why do we have to go to war and kill people? Will Jhope like Jin be a good soldier. With no doubt, yes! His work ethic, his commitment, his vitality, his loyalty, his energy, and his sunshine positive outlook on life will prove that he can ever be a leader in the army, just like Jin!

The song is brilliant. I love it. However, I feel compelled to state my opinion on JCole's use of the N word. In our society it is a racial slur. A hate crime really against oppressed slaves. But I do understand the N word doesn't take that offensive meaning to him. I won't judge him. But I can still respectfully voice my opinion. I don't like F words either. I think it's a "lazy" catch all word. I always ask can the message of the song be relayed without those words? I say yes. My opinion. Thank you for respecting me in allowing me to state my opinion without throwing hate on them. Their artistry is stunningly exquisite! The love JHope expresses to the Army is precious. JCole exclaiming that it's impossible to say our creator doesn't exist is stated with inspiration. Last note...the art direction and cinematography and direction is so beautifully executed and ethereally represents the message in the song. Thank you JHope and JCole!

I love Hobi's part & the message being presented but truthfully I barely will listen to the track because of the J Cole part. I appreciate J Cole as a artist & what it means for Hobi to be working with him. However with the use of N word & overall religious tone to the lyrics it's not something I can sing along to (or would want to). This limits the joy I actually get from the track itself & also where I'd feel comfortable even listening to over speakers. I hate to say I want a J Hope "edit" but yeah I kinda do.
