Edit: Ok welp 1965 is repeating itself in the comment section, no wonder we seperated.
Edit 2: Idk why but this comment really blew up. I feel like I was a bit on the dead side when I wrote this comment, but I wanna say that it's definitely both parties who created it; Source: Wikipedia, it's Wikipedia I do not take any credit for this)
But anyways both parties have a very common history due to the British empire, early Malay Archipelago and stuff. History tells us that both play a part. Also Malaysians ARE not poor, I wanna clarify that, its just that SG currency is worth more. Also we Singaporeans, we have a lot of things to say, don't take it to heart Malaysians, but we also can't accept that you fight over a really dumb thing and make it seem like it's our fault.
Ngl, I think Malaysia gonna put a bullet to my head for some things I said, my friend from Malaysia gonna kill me XD
I'm here with popcorn
No problem 😊
🥰
singapore’s dish isn’t even good lmao
@@bee-wh2ru it's starting!! i have popcorn, take one if you like!!

As a singaporean i am very HONORED to see kwook make a video on my country’s international breakfast, and givin it a reasonable rating
Edit: WHY IS THERE A WAR IN THE REPLIES
ITS FROM MALAYSIA
@@mcscusme1960not anymore. We claim it.
@@Kylan558We claim it back. (I hope no one is offended it's not serious, we are neighbouring countries after all). But on an unrelated note, it's ours.
I think this should just represent both our countries😊
It’s from British Malaya so both Singapore and Malaysia “own” it. But Singapore consumes it more in terms of ratio.
Now wait till he tries Yakun Kaya toast, that’ll be a 11/10
Yeahhhhh
Yes, that is DELICIOUS
Fr tho
Cap
It will taste the same
How's nobody talking about the part he said: "thick" with a different voice💀😭
No just No get out.
thick was funny lol
Singaporean here and I'm pleasantly surprised you liked it! To be honest not a lot of people dip the toast in the egg, most of us just eat it separately
Edit: it seems I have started a war
I disagree, everyone I've ever eaten breakfast with has been an egg dipper with Kaya toast
Disagree, everyone I've had this with dips/soaks except my husband who slurps up the egg separately.
I've never seen someone eat it separately in my entire life, not at Toast Box, not at Koufu and not at home
comments here disagreeing with this but I've never seen a person dip the toast

Thank you for doing my country Singapore
Yes, my late mum used to make kaya on her own. The fragrance, half-boiled eggs, and milo is my everyday breakfast.
Sadly he screwed up the half boiled eggs I think
@@WhyEveryHandleTakenyeah he did, those weren't even remotely cooked, thats not how it works but i think he still liked it
@@Panda-0183 looking back at my reply, yeah I have no idea what i was saying there, it was 7 months ago so excuse my idiotic comment
I work for an MNC and every year we have a sales meeting in the US. The Singaporeans will bring those small jars of Yakun kaya as gifts. It is a great hit with US and European colleagues. Malaysians! Do not indulge in this war. Spread the kaya love. We both want nothing but total domination over strawberry jam and peanut butter!
Jam, yes. But Peanut Butter is Godly.
As a Malaysian... That nearly reach the war zone of kaya...😂 I decided to spread love for kaya... do try duck egg kaya also if you like kaya alot ❤
@@cindyooi2693 I have been to Malaysia and Singapore twice and Malaysia is so much better.
That’s a really cool comment Sir! ❤
Make waakye (from ghana)
It has beans.
I guess that would be under the national dishes series, not the breakfast series. I buy that from Ghanian women here in Nigeria, really nice. That and Kenke (Dokunu).
Here in northern ghana you can get it everywhere for breakfast, sometimes for Lunch and almost never for dinner.
@@plainvanillamiscellaneous6884 interesting. Meanwhile here in Lagos they only come out at night 😀
Ah that's interesting
