Airfryer Chicken Chow Mein

- One of our favourite Chinese takeaway dishes is a chicken chow mein which generally just has chicken, onion and noodles - we love it. So the beauty of making your own is you can add even more veg.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching....

Inspirational thank you 😊
It looks really good Kerry, a very tasty meal and the added bonus of having some home grown veg
That looked delicious Kerry easy to throw together when all the prep work is done 👍😋 xx
Thank you San👋😃💕💕
I'm going to try this it looks delicious 😋😋😋
Definitely going to make this . 14:31 ordered it from our local Chinese takeaway and it was so expensive .

Thank you Beth, me too!🥰🥰🥰
That looked very tasty. And so quick.
Thank you Karen! It was quick, would be even quicker without the faff of filming😄👍💕💕
Sounds deeeeelicious Kerry. Definitely one to try 😋 x
Thank you Janis!🥰🥰
Looks lovely! Need the wine and vinegar..shop on Tuesday! Sesame oil will add another level of flavor...Thanks, Kerry, from Susan
Morning Kerry I have to watch your cooking channel in a morning because I get too hungry at night that looked so tasty and so quick once you have got those extra ingredients in your cupboard they are so useful. Have a lovely day although it's chucking it down here in the north of England Xxxx
Thank you Rosa, you did make me chuckle with the morning watch, late night hunger is no joke 😄👍💕💕💕
Yummy chow mein 😋😋
Wow Kerry, you’re recipes are great darling . I’ll be making this . Lisa xx ❤
Thanks so much Lisa🥰🥰🥰
Tasty Kerry way better than the takeaway and so much cheaper.
I'd make it again Julie😀👍 sauce was lovely😋😋
Thank you
Thank you Catherine 🥰🥰it's really appreciated
Looks delicious! I've never made a stir-fry in the air fryer before, but will def give it a go. I find when you've got everything in the wok, it almost overloads it, meaning the veg start poaching and lose their crunch! This would def not happen in the airfryer! Also the sauce is better than those pouches you get - they're soo small, and being gluten free, there's so many I can't have. This way you can suit to yourself (using rice noodles of course 😂) Thanks again x
Aww thank you Glenda😃💕💕
morning Kerry your chicken chow mein looks delicious
Thank you Lois!🥰🥰🥰
Looks delicious Kerry. Not sure if anyone has mentioned but with those noodles if you break them up with your hands first it makes mixing it all together far easier. I keep those noodles in but for our Friday night fakeaways I use the fresh egg noodles. But, these days it's only the 2 of us.
Ah top tip thank you Kate! I've got more of those noodles (were still on offer woohoo!) with the last shop so def going to make again over the weekend, love a fakeaway lol. 😃👍💕💕
looking good kerry. what a quick way to make a chow mein. this cosori seem able to make anything i really must try and afford one
Thank you Grace💕💕it's a really good airfryer, love the bottom element - a game changer
Hi Kerry, you've done it again, I'm drooling 😋. I love a chow mein and stir fry. That sauce was nice and quick to make and plenty of it. Win win. I'm sure I've got smelly vision and it was really tickling my taste buds😋😍 You are a real hero putting yourself through all this tasting for us😒 we do appreciate it though 😊 Have a great week, byee 👋Jen 💕😘xx
Aww you too Jen💕💕and thank you so much for popping over to my etsy shop🥰🥰
got to say it looks bloody good!
Thank you Basingstoke Dave!😃👍💕💕
Ooh Kerry another success! Looks delish! My hubby and I are going to have some ‘tutorials’ using your channel so he can learn how to use our 3 airfryers, one of which is an instant pot too. Wonder how that will work out🙈🫣😄🇬🇧☘️🥳🥳
Oh that's amazing, go hubby💪😃 💕
Hello Kerry, I think you're right about the difference between stir fry/chow mein. As an added piece of info, a chow mein has noodles that are heated up in the dish in the wok. Lo Mein has noodles that are not 'fried'. Any Chinese food experts, please step in to help me out/correct, but I think I am kind of correct........Hopefully? Lovely video.
Hi Kerry, love a good chow mein. When I used to make it for the kids in the nursery I would just use garlic and soy sauce (for the sauce base). The kids loves it and I would always have to make extra for the staff 😂😂. I used carrots (ribboned) and peas. I bet that does smell.amazing, I can almost smell it from here 😂😂. I thought that looked like too much noodles when you first put those packets in. Certainly does look delicious, Kerry. I would definitely use broccoli as that's Harrisons favourite veg. Will make this when I get the ingredients required. Thank you again Kerry xxxx Jac 💚♥️
Ooo I like the peas addition, I'd chuck them in as well Jacs, will def make again😋👍💕💕💕
@budgetcookinguk it gives it that wee extra bit of colour as well as texture. Yeah, you really should make it again and we can drool watching you eat it 😋 🤣🤣 xxxx Jac💚♥️
Looks really nice Kerry - and once you buy that sesame oil you will love the flavour of that also.
Kindest regards from Tasmania.
Thank you Anne💕💕will def get some as soon as poss👍it'll last, so worth having in the cupboard. Hope all is well in Tasmania 👋😀
Looks good Kerry any tips on cleaning the inside top of ninja what is your favourite cosiri or ninja
Looks delish 😋 Do you only make this in the Cosori? (My AF does not have a bottom element). Do you find the clean up around the top element ok? I worry about making it oily and Smokey?
I made it in the ninja about a year ago ruclips.net/video/TQQu1wmC8jQ/видео.htmlsi=3lNn_zpNaqTey9RV used pre cooked noodles but if I had normal noodles, would boil them first before adding to the stir fry. I clean once a week around the elements, not the elements themselves. I find baby wipes or a hot cloth does the job😃👍
Thank you muchly! That’s a great tip!!!!! ❤
Delish.x
Thank you Hazel😃💕💕💕
Nice
Looks delicious Kerry All you have to do is make some spring rolls and Air fry some cabbage to add a crispy seaweed look ( which I saw Butlersempire do ) and you’ve got a lovely Chinese takeaway 😋
Corrr that's a good idea Sarah 😃👍💕😋😋😋
☕️♥️💐🙋🏻♀️
I could eat all that right now
The last time I made something like a Chow Mein, I used one of my own Chickens, must have been 5 years ago And it was very nice, I'll have to do it again but I'll have to buy the chicken ! Yours looked quite good so I think I might have a go at that.
Nice! Do you still have chickens?
No I don't But they where Tasty ( I had them for the egg's to start with )@@budgetcookinguk

Then we had a power cut so I had no meal today in bed now fed up 😠
@@Silverdale15 oh no! I'm sorry you've had a power cut Carole, has it been restored?
@@budgetcookinguk after two hrs it came back after I got the camping gaz stove out !!! It was quite a big one 411 houses that's big for here in sticksville ..awful weather Kerry what happened ????

Not really - Kerry is feeding a family of four.
It looks a lot all grouped together in seperate dishes for the camera😄👍 but not really a lot

It's delish isn't it Jennifer 😋😋💕💕only ever buy it when it's on offer thou!😄
@@budgetcookinguk I found it in b&m for £5,00 I don’t have one near me so I bought 4 haha
What make of coffee do you drink Kerry
@@SandraDent-lf4xy we have Nescafe Azera, it's always sold at a reduced price in b&m and the supermarkets do a rolling discount, so whenever I see it discounted I buy it (when I'm close to running out) 😄👍its sooo the best instant coffee (imo)
I could eat two bowls of that
I have to cut my noodles or I splash it all over my face. Hehe Where did you get the Chinese wine vinegar please.
Tesco’s sell it
@@marymcdonagh8957 thank you x
Hi Karen, the chinese cooking wine was from Sainsbury's but I reckon most big supermarkets would have it, the rice vinegar I got from lidl😀👍💕
@@budgetcookinguk thank you .
Yum. I watched this at 7am and I could have eaten that for breakfast. Your recipes are so doable, nothing too taxing. You should definitely bring out a cook book. It would be a sell out x
Thank you Georgina💕that's a lovely comment, a cook book! Oooo🤓☺️
@@budgetcookinguk The cook book idea just came to me. What do you think? I want the first copy x
@@georginaruckman5780 I'm really flattered honestly Georgina, I will do some research!☺️💕💕💕
Mr Pedantic here, lol. Mirin is Japanese cooking wine, not Chinese. See, I said I was going to be pedantic but it’s all much of a muchness but some swine will leave a comment…..oh wait, that’s me! lol….oh and your probably looking for Toasted Sesame Oil not plain sesame oil. I’d check.
You’re not your Mr. Pedantic 😂
Hello Steve👋😀 I love a bit of pedantic lol, on the back of the mirin bottle it is described as chinese sweet cooking wine😀👍
Hello Mr Pedantic. Just spotted a typo (which I am sure you're aware of). When you write '...oh and your', you obviously meant to type '.....oh and you're'. Helps to establish your credibility.
@@JohnJones-wo1bc who knows, autocorrect is the Bain of my existence. Never leaves one sentence untouched. I gave up a long time ago!
@@budgetcookinguk there you go then. As long as it tasted nice, who cares, right?!
