Ducky One 2 SF Review - Better than the Mini?
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 окт 2024
- Today we review the new Ducky One 2 SF mechanical keyboard, which stands for 65%, and is Ducky's new keyboard which goes above the One 2 Mini in size. And I think this is the one that will potentially be more suitable for many people!

I wish manufacturers would switch to using WRGB leds so we can get a clean white backlighting too
yeh true
That'd be great! 👌
Then you'd complain about prices.
Kamen Minkov Manufacturers only produce supply once they see a clear demand. And once theres a demand the market will get flooded with them.
I'm using a CoolerMaster Masterkeys Pro S with White LEDS. Perfectly white but no additional RGB options
6:20 ah, I see you're a man of culture as well
he's a bold one
pishifat
Akana oh hello there
I’ll be your 201 like
Oh I don't think so.
I heard “Duck One Too Many” 😂. Great review man
Was waiting when Umpah Umpah was going to be in the bg, nice review too i've always been a fan of 65% over 60% !
MinariSlashMina I swear everyone into Mech Keyboards worship Kpop GG and I love it
yeah 65% is so much better for me to use, because I only use a few of the side keys anyways and need the arrow keys often so its great to have that
Finaly somebody ho is in my team arrow keys team!
6:13 YOU ARE A BOLD ONE
2:45 Why put it there??😅
My OCD is triggering me so hard
@TheSecondd Bruh, stop assuming people dont have OCD.
@TheSecondd I got it tested
@TheSecondd I have OCD anxiety and I like to have everything clean.
@TheSecondd I'm not a perfectionist.
60% or 65% for you?
TaeKeyboards 65
65 for sure
TaeKeyboards 65% or TKL or anything in-between personally still own a razer ornata chroma but when I do upgrade that would be my range full keyboards are not needed outside of a professional use imo.
75%!
OK out of the two I would take 65% of course, but honestly I feel like 75% is the best layout. You don't really lose much space-wise compared to a 65% because the extra row is on the top which is typically going to be unused space anyway.
I'm more of a 62.5% kinda guy.
2:13 Him:the keyboard is bent! Also him earlier: 0:44
TBC Puzzler I know I was like what da heck
The 1 2 sf is vry flexible though I have one in my set up you don't need much force to bend it
If you think that should bend it you're an idiot.
TBC Puzzler
A
Keyboards arent designed to have their structural integrity screwed over by just an intentional, albeit strong deck flex.
technoblade would love that year of the pig spacebar key cap
technoblade with this keyboard and handcam = quality content
Wdym he needs elbow cam
@⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ no U
Ikr it would make him 100% more powerful
honestly idk he’s probably better off with his steering wheel tbh
Am I crazy for thinking that warp looks too symmetrical to not be by design. I make alotnof stuff and having a slight warp towards the middle like that solves a few issues in day to day use if done correctly
For sure its a design choice.
That warp/flex in the case is alarming for a $100+ board.
Hence why I waited for the mecha
KevJacko what do you mean by mecha?
@@Queezus mecha has a metal chassis
Dylan J ah thanks, do you know when the SF mecha comes out? I really want to buy it.
JayR oh really? Thanks for your help!
6:20 *everybody gangster until he says hi to you in the google search bar.*
Guys I need advice, would you rather get this board or the ducky one 2 mini? I’m deciding between the two and I’m not sure which to get. Someone please respond with honest advice.
Kiritoshi Kirigaya thank you!
Does the Ducky One 2 SF support MacOS, and does it support Bluetooth/wireless connection?
can anyone explain the free bonuses such as mk pins, stickers, and creator stickers?
Wdym by explain? They’re just free bonus gots you get in your package you only get it if you order from mechanical keyboards.com
They are stickers and the mk pin is a lil extra keycap that most ppl put on the esc key if im not wrong
I ordered this keyboard with the MK Pin, it's a little thing you can put on your shirt. sorry I dont really know how to explain it.
The stickers are just stickers you can put on whatever you like.
If only it had wireless bluetooth.
I hope the next version of the Anne Pro comes in 65% size.
has it?
And as for the flexing. It's mainly the outside/edge, which still isn't good. But it isn't like that towards the centre.
Are you going to review the hades68?
@@hanshen5584 yep
Where to buy it?
@@VizionVFX amazon
@@TaeKeyboards Hey How do u Get it in Australia?
What are the best budget mechanical keyboards you can buy right now in PH?
Do u think that the keyboard middle is a little rises bc u bent it pretty aggressively?
does any1 know what 2020 will be the year of?
I was distracted with Red Velvet’s “Umpah Umpah” in the background. Really nice to see another ReVeLuv. Keep up with the great reviews too!
I recently bought a one2 mini which is also curved but it curves downwards, not upwards. It also has a lot more flex than my one2 TKL which feels much more solid.
Need a one 2 sf mecha
I can't spend that kind of money for that kind of flex. I thought ducky was a supposed to be a good brand. That looks unacceptable. Are there any USA brand keyboards?
I think they just decided to spend a little less on that area for the competitive pricing. The packaging, key caps, rgb is good.
I got mine just now, and it's amazing! the feel is great, and I can't stop typing. just need a little more tweak and it will feel much better.
any problems with the keyboard? Just asking because I'm looking into getting one for myslef
No problems at all. I have it as my daily driver and I've never been happier typing. I just lubed it and put some rubber pads in it, and the sound is superb!
Do you have any problem with key chatter? I heard a lot of people had that problem with this board
I wish the Frozen Llama variant came is the 65% layout. I think ducky is going to have some competition with the Durgod Hades.
Ducky needs to just use Varmilo to build their keyboards.
The function keys are reprogramable?
I would rather switch the 3 right keys to the actual funtions, as i see myself using home, end more than pageup and down
Also if someone has this and shadowplay, is there any dificulties using the shadowplay functions?
The arrow keys should go on WASD
i can't rand min ducky one 2 mini keyboard '
I have that keyboard in pure white and i olso have a white logitech mouse.
What sounds and feels better? The ducky/varmillo miya pro or this.
Miya Pro imo.
wtf you're gaming a on a TV?!?!
How's this compared to the Hades 68 with PBT?
Also, to me I didn't like the sound of the stabilizers and the pings of the springs when you lightly tap the key too :/
mic was a bit sensitive for the stabs. They're actually pretty good.
how price?, and have thai language screen?
This video made me purchase one. Out-standing keyboard. Give myself ASMR when typing.
umpah umpah
It looks the same
That 'warp' you speak of is the crown. If the hump is going up, youll be fine. If it was down...then it would be sagging and that would be terrible. Better that the crown is up. :)
Ordered a one two mini and a Anne pro 2 last year. Found both to be quite disappointing for their price. The ducky felt cheap and has a lot of flex. The Anne pro 2 was much better in quality, but the control/function key were awkward for me and the LED's had issues. I ended up returning both and giving a cheaper mech a try. I went with the Kemove 60% and gateron reds. Instantly fell in love with this boad. Its about $20 cheaper than the ducky and Anne pro, and I threw a set of hyperX pudding caps on it.
Not owned a mech before purchasing the three boards mentioned, and by far the cheaper kemove honestly felt the best, though lacks the wireless functionality of the Anne pro 2. Not sure if someone is going to tell me I'm committing a cardinal sin, but I honestly feel like this slightly cheaper board is way better quality. Switches are also hot swappable, so that's a nice function. The amazon listing also has a couple switch options. All gateron variants if I remember correctly
I myself don't get the Ducky hype. Yeah the keycaps are nice, but the switches... oh the switches. I can't go back to these now that I have seen the light.
Cherries really aren't that bad. After you try pretty much every switch, it's easier to appreciate cherries nicer switches.
@@tyler94302 MX Blues are bad, along with most straight-up clones of them. Kailh BOX clickies render all MX Blue and clones obsolete. Other Cherries aren't bad after the retooling, but all of them are overpriced, and that's where most of the hate is justified.
@@Boyetto-san I guess so.. mx blacks and ergo clears/mod m's are still some of my favorite switches, and tactile grey's are actually okay for the price
@@tyler94302 On the Ducky boards (one 2 and miya pro) it has been that for me. The browns are the best, but they are just outclassed by hall effect switches and novelkey (kaihl) creams. I dare say a gateron red is a better experience than cherry mx red also. I enjoy the Cherry MX White and the Clears but those are pretty heavy. The blacks (have not tried legacy) are decent but I can feel the scratchiness.
I've had my One 2 SF for a couple years now and I really enjoy it, but it was definitely needing some modding to make it better. The stabs on mine were really clacky and pingy, which I really didn't know much about until recently so I got those lubed up, and plan on replacing the stabs later down the line. I also lubed up the Silent Reds that came with it and added 2 pieces of dampening to the chasis, and it feels like a completely new and better keyboard. Love the size, hard to find a 65% this good, so a little TLC and it was perfect.
I appreciate your choice of music video in the background. Umpah Umpah!
65% boards are just weird.
In it right, 60% are better.
Can anyone Help me? After i changed the led mode the letters W A S D only blink in one color? How can i fix this?
Are the small ALT and FN keys on the bottom right, the same size keycaps as the letter keycaps ? Also, are the both the CTRL keys the same size keycaps ?
Where was it made? Is it made in China or Taiwan? I wish they will add more variants of this keyboard.
Made in Taiwan :)
I just wish it came with different switches from cherry because I wanted to have kailh whites on the 65% but they only support cherry key switches :(
I just ordered One 2 Mini on MK.com, should I return it for this variant? Or should I buy Leopold instead? Help!
Richard Zhang no, you have an awesome board coming. Its all about preference. I have a Race 3 for work and a one 2 mini for gaming.
Is Ducky one 2 SF hot-swappable?
nono
6:41 typing test
nice
I rlly want to get this but am unsure about the build quality with all that flex and the key chattering problem
the most complete and detailed review of this keyboard. Great job! Like and sub.
Extra keycaps YEAAAAHSS
oh always the worse colors lol
Awake but the bad thing is there is no WASD keycaps which is annoying but i guess you could always use the arrow keycaps though.
Anyone have a cheap 60% mechanical keyboard that’s cheap to recommend to me?
was that twice fancy in your backgound?
you reckon the top plate of the keyboard could be replaced with a custom metal one?
Nice review, thinking of getting one now.
And DoW 40k in 2019? Sweet. Liked.
I got the ducky one 2 sf with black MX switches as it was the only one available (apart from blue). I have a das Keyboard with MX Brown switches from before. I must say that the ducky is so much nicer to type on. The das Keyboard sounds like a machinegun and switches are bottoming out easily, while the ducky is so quiet and I enjoy the resistance of the black keys. Much better stabilisers too. Not to mention the space saved on my desk. So after watching a lot of reviews, the experience of the ducky one 2 sf exceeded my expectations. The only negative things are that some keycaps has some black inside so the letters do not get fully illuminated (that is there are some tiny shadows in the rgb light), but nothing that affects typing or overall looks. Second is that the extra keycaps are blue and not red anymore, but I went with the all black keycaps anyways. A positive thing was that the spacebar is year of the rat which was nicer. They look like two small rabbits more than rats though :-) Thanks for the review, I'll for sure be sticking to 65 or 60 keyboards.
now all we need is hotswap and its the perfect beginner keyboard
I've noticed Ducky has a Mac-optimized model (MIYA Pro Mac). Is the One 2 SF - or 65% mechs from other companies - really incompatible with OSX?
Thanks for the videos!
Can I have your duck keyboard pleas I will give you 💯 money
Why dont they release the pure white ducky one 2 Sf at same time... very annoying lol
Do you know when the white
Model is out gonna be out?
I what it to and btw what is the difference from the ducky one 2?
I like the mini bcos of the year of the dog key cap
Overpriced nonsense.
Buying a One 2 SF after having had a good experience with a Mini, which i will give to a friend.
Very good keyboard for the price, the fact everything is saved on the keyboard's memory is a plus for me (macros, RGB and the like will work on any os out of the box, 0 KB wasted on the pc/tablet) and it's a perfect starting point for modifications, kinda like a "practice" board for upgrades.
typing this comment on my mini
noice
Wow
wish these came in other switch types or they made a hotswap board also wish gmmk made a 65% board. I'm probably going to buy a gmmk tkl to use as a test bed for new switches as i'm fairly new to this hobby and that seems like the more cost effective method then maybe i'll diy my next board.
Soooo you seen the new gmmk 2 65% yet?
Goddamn I literally got my duck one 2 mini today haha I bought it cause they got a ISO-DE version and I really need my Umlaute ÄÜÖÄÖÜ
Me too. Needing iso-de layout reduces the choice of compact mechanical keyboards by at least 90%. But I guess the ducky is still one of the best choices. Only the price is a little high.
Lucky you, i want my swiss layout ;-;. Luckily found a one 2 sf with it
Does anyone know how to get keycaps for this because I'm really trying to get some sexy white ones but idk which ones are compatible
I mean if you get any of the switches they are all cherry mx so just type in for example cherry mx keycaps
I really want the Ducky One 2 SF but it's not even available on amazon
Use mechanicalkeyboard. Com
The Thing is in germany its cheeper than the normal im so happy because i have it to Day. Marry Chrismas!
how much does it cost?
*Wow*
You See my ducky one 2 mini white can take my punches this however... CANT
The (in the meantime released) Ducky ONE 2 SF White is more stable, so you can punch it :) It has an additional, stabalizing plastic nobby on the backside, right under where the black version shown in this video bends.
Hello Tae. I received this keyboard today. It's my first mechanical keyboard. I'd like to get keycaps for it one day.
I understood there are 3 keys that aren't the conventional size and thus I won't be able to replace them with ease.
For the remainder, can I get keycaps in white or grey? Thank you
Everybody talking about the Star Wars reference, yet nobody comments about that Gordon Ramsay meme at the end.
Yeah but there arent many keycaps for it
Question do you recommend this over the mini or should i just save my money?
I Get ducky to day
Can you make a video about changing the stabilizers?
This + F keys = keebgasm
nice
How do u get it in Australia? Because I can't find it
Forgot to mention that it's not available yet.
@@TaeKeyboards Your Joking
Love Ducky. Can't wait for the next version of the ONE 2.. the ONE 3? lol
Which one of these would you say is the best 65% keyboard: TADA68, GK64, Akko x Ducky 3068, Ducky One 2 SF, other one?
what conclusion did you come to after 2 years?
Yo a guy named Instinct on yt is stealing your content he's using your video as a fake giveaway video
Do Duckys support Zilents?
The frames are weak
You are the king of keyboards!
arrow keys make me want to buy it
The real question is there minesweeper?
i think so
I grew out of blue switches to now using cherry Mx red
banana army raid
The best thing I like about my one two mini is it's arrow key position. You never have to lift up hand while programming
i prefer mini
I can’t wait for mecha
Do you think they'll make a mecha version of this board?
Would love a metal 65% board like this!
is the left shift also a 2u key?
@TaeKeyboards
I can't find it... I'm on the duckychannel website but I can't where I can buy this keyboard 😅 I'm really mad because I saw one there but there wasn't a buy Button... 🙁
