One question you answered really spoke to me. I tried to learn violin because I loved the incredible craftsmanship, but I am not musically gifted at all.
This led me to wanting to build one myself out of respect for the craft.
It won’t be pretty, I’m sure, but I am a professional carpenter and have a small wood shop at my house that has produced some fairly precise products over the years.
    Excited for this challenge
I used your videos to turn the $200 student violin I bought into one that’s easily worth $225
The nut, bridge, sound post, strings, and string gaps are impeccably placed and shaped

Thanks for answering my question concerning putting casein on the inside of the violin. I always learn something from your expert advice.

Is the Akustikus tailpiece better with a kevlar tailgut or the metal one it comes with?
