One of ozzy’s most underrated songs of all time
🤘
Too right, one of his best
It has never been underrated to me. It is the one that made me a fan back in 2000.
@@DwanGarcez me neither, I luv it, but unless ur a fan it's not that well known, which is a shame for those who have not heard it!:-)
He should have followed it up with a song about Matlock, or Murder She Wrote.
I love this bassline... One of Ozzy's most overlooked songs
Con el maetro Geezer Butler Black Sabbath

Agreed. Hell Raiser is right there too!
Very orchestral
As a bass player myself I approve this comment. This bassline is just as fun to play as it is to listen to.
Somehow Ozzy made your grandmother's favorite show cool.
I resemble that remark but for me, two words: DELLA STREET.
Exactly 💯🍻🤘😎
Ozzy is a HUGE perry mason fan! 🤘
The only thing that could have made Raymond Burr more *_Metal_* than being in the first ever _Godzilla_ movie was an Ozzy Osbourne song about his most beloved Television character...
Your grandma is cooler than all of us. She Rocks
If they do a modern series of Perry Mason, this should definitely be the theme song! 🤘🏼
Ozzy is like the yoda of metal, he walks in slowly with his cane, drops it, then proceeds to kick ass with ninja speed. Then picks up his cane and walks away like an old man again.
These comments become more and more meaningless the more you see them.
So why would you add another one?
@@BigBOB1975 you put him in place like Perry Mason xd
Bob Opitz Because it's fake af and ppl are tired of the bullshit.
"Ninja Speed"??? Dude I saw Ozzy with Randy Rhoads 40 years ago, even back then the only ninja speed was coming from Randys guitar. To your point, maybe he's 'wise' like Yoda, but comparisons end there.
I don’t understand why Ozzmosis is considered a disappointing album. It’s absolutely amazing!! I mean, it’s got Perry Mason!! How could it be bad?
It's really the last, truly classic Ozzy album.
I have to say I agree
@@mikemchaney925 Not a knock or a rub against Ozz and other musicians on the albums thereafter but almost all the songs on this album were solid. Had a distinctive atmospheric vibe.
Absolutely dude, I agree. But I guess a lotta people were disappointed.
People need something to complain about I guess🤷♀️ I had to do a double take i thought this was a older song i had some how missed. I was thrilled to see it was new
So cool that he got Geezer to play bass on this album.
Bass line is ridiculous.
@@edchambers3538 I bet Geezer wrote the lyrics, well maybe.

ZACK WILDE WROTE THE LYRICS AND OZZY JUST SANG AND PERFORMED. I WAS IN THE MINDSET THAT OZZY & zack wilde both contributed to the lyrics and continuity of this song?.. Just heard this one the radio a couple days ago actually. I never really heard Ozzy's work besides War Pigs but I instantly got this song.
Not just this song, but in general, I find the sound of his voice oddly comforting, like an old friend.
When I was 9 years old, this was the first Ozzy song I had ever heard. I hadn't ever heard Sabbath or his early solo career. My step mom just had Ozzmosis laying around and I became obsessed with the album from front to back. What a strong opener. And then I showed my friends. I paved their way into metal. Ugh, 4th grade memories.

This song is just too good. I think it might be Zakk's best work. That riff is massive and the solo is killer.
Absolutely agree. When I first heard it, I thought it was most original sounding , gnarly riff I'd heard in a very long time.. still blows me away . The Zakk attack is unique. 🤘😎 party on
Zak Wylde is a Mad Afciando..... I saw him play solo as the Leader of The Black Label Society.... A small 2000 sq' Venue.
Had had EIGHT Marshalls........ The man is a Master..... He sat down at a baby Grand and did a piano session....... It was absolutely Beautiful...... Nobody Like Zak Wylde
The guitarist is Joe Holmes, one of randy rhoads' students
@onivoi that's Holmes in the video, and he was the touring guitarist for some years after this album, but the writing and recording is Zakk.
I think Ozzmosis is the best of Zakk and Ozzy!
Thanks Ozzy for helping me get through the unbearable parts of life. ✌🏻💚

Ozzmosis is the single MOST underrated Metal album of all Metal albums. Ozzmosis was the pinnacle of Ozzy and Wylde.
[Verse 1]
On his way to dinner
When it took him by surprise
And with one pull of the trigger
He would vanish overnight
Dancing by the roadside
Holding on for dear life
Then a gun from out of nowhere
Made a widow of his wife
[Pre-Chorus]
I don't mind
Single file down the runway
Feeling fine
And I'll see you my friend
Over and over again
[Chorus]
Who can we get on the case?
We need Perry Mason
Someone to put you in place
Calling Perry Mason again, again
[Verse 2]
Riding painted horses
Oh the kids they love it so
You can see it on their faces
How they love the wind to blow
Minding my own business
Like my mama always said
But if i don't try to help them
They could wind up on the front page
You should do the rest
@@michaelmayne6097 😂😂
Lol. It's literally about the old show Perry Mason.
@@kiran387 It's about Freemasons and their control over the world.
Congratulations you can copy and paste off of a lyrics website!
It always kills me how Zakk tells the story of writing this killer riff and being so proud of it and thinking it’s the best he’s ever done, just to find out ozzy put it with a song about a fuckin tv lawyer. Man was almost in tears 😂😂
yea, but the song is not just about the lawyer. It's also about addiction.
In fact, it's *MAINLY* about addiction, told through the eyes of the lawyer.
@@kurzackd Dead wrong. It is not about addiction, Ozzy himself has said that the song was about how he was spending so much time in courtrooms during that time that he felt like Perry Mason.
@@SpacePharaoh ...
Ozzy might have said many things to draw attraction towards his work. That's the entire point of "stars" giving interviews. ;]
Just look at the lyrics, 2nd verse:
"Riding *painted* *horses*
Oh the kids they *love* *it* *so*
You can see it *on their faces*
How they love the wind to *blow* "
and then:
"But if i don't try to help them
They could wind up on the front page"
The kids are shooting up / snorting balls / doing hash / whatever, and the protagonist is thinking that he should do something, otherwise they might end up as news items for the local papers.
Then the pre-chorus:
"I don't mind
Draw the LINE, then draw me an arrow
Feeling fine
And I'll see you my friend
Over and over again"
Ahem... COCAINE.... -_-
then, the last verse:
"...
I've been doing this all night
How much did you give me
Tell me it'll be all right"
Only the FIRST verse doesn't sound like it's about drugs at all.
So ok, I can admit that the song is not ENTIRELY about addiction. But a bigger part of is certainly IS... -_-
@@kurzackd Bud, he has explained the fully story in detail. The lyrics are not about addiction or drugs. So either he’s lying and everyone should trust that you know better, or, maybe, you made an assumption which was incorrect.
@@SpacePharaoh alright, show me the "source" of his explanation, and only THEN can I start debating.
Until then, I am right and you're WRONG.
Because I actually did some word-by-word, sentence-by-sentence, stanza-by-stanza analysis of the lyrics.
You *did* *NOT* .
They need to remake Perry Mason and use this as the theme for the opening credits.
I SO agree
OMG yes!!!! That would be both badass and hilarious 😂
Hell Yeah!!
They are remaking it, suppose to release this year. Hopefully they use this song!
HBO just put up a Perry Mason trailer, and they did not use this song lol
I love this song! Not only because its a badass song with amazing riffs, but because it brings some good, almost nostalgic memories. The first time I heard it was about 6 years ago. A few friends and I were driving around town at night and one of them, being a big Ozzy fan, put it on. I was hooked on the song and that memory of hanging out with them and listening to this song for the first time stuck with me. I also think its because we don't hang out that much anymore especially since after high school that it made it feel more special.
Ozzy Freakin‘ Legend Osbourne!
This is the song that turned me into a metal head. Here I am decades later rocking out just as hard to it as I did back then. Awesome song.

Rock on Ozzy 2020!
I first heard it on MTV 32 years ago and I'm still in love to this day. Ozzy, You are the best! 🤘
This has got to be the best heavy metal song about a TV lawyer! 🎸
Ozzy just rocks all his songs!
Randy solid beating the drums with hammer’s 🔨 R.I.P
Ozzy the true 🐐 of Metal
What can I say... I Just Love It
An absolute classic from the 90' still sounding as amazing as ever.
Love Ozzy-one of the prime reasons I’ve been into metal my entire life! A day without metal is a day wasted!
Why does the description say this song is off the "No More Tears" album? That is not true. The song Perry Mason was released on the Ozzmosis album.
Maybe because Ozz-Ozzborne himself had writen that description.
Absolutely correct sir
Fuck u Ozzy's not senile he's a metal God ...
I got the album, and you corect, the sleeve is like a part of the video.
That's what I was thinking. I'm like, I swore this was the first song on Ozzmosis.
I am currently 17, been listening to ozzy since day one, literally, Ozzmosis was played as my music in my crib because Beethoven and others like that just weren't working, the melodic masterpiece that is Ozzys music kept my months old self asleep at night, ozzy will always be one of my role models and an important part of my goofy lil life, rock on fellas
I bought this album back in 1997 in my teenage years. God I miss the 90's. The music was so much better compared to the crap today. Live and loud was a great album also.
You should've been through the 70s and 80s, it was a magical time for music.
There's plenty of great music these days, all you have to do is look for it, it's not that difficult to find, I'll be 60 years old in January 2022, and I'm exceedingly difficult to please musically, and I've had zero problems with finding badass metal, I cannot, will not be stuck in the past, I refuse to be some pathetic dinosaur whining, and lamenting the past, the music is out there, go get it !
What Dale said is correct there is still gold to be found in them there hills my friend.
Indeed, loved growing up back then, but it seems like the rock stations that played more of the real rock dont anymore, just classic rock, at least in my area.
