What do you think guys, was this the biggest makeover to date? If your new here, be sure to check out our other videos to see if you agree that this is the best transformation so far! 🤩😁
His contract to become a leading role is currently under negotiation. He's quite demanding and has requested a 15% raise in daily food allowance and 45 minutes extra of scratches behind the ears each week! 😅😂
Such a great colour scheme guys! I'm not surprised as you always come up with something interesting. Ernie gave the wag of approval, so that's all that matters! Keep having fun with it! Ciao Marisa 🥰🤗😗💚
Looks great, you guys! Your BLACK (😂😂😂) walls are AWESOME! Like we say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Besides, it's YOUR house, YOU do what YOU like. Fantastic! I just wish I could send a cement pumper truck to your house so you didn't have to do that floor in the barn 2 buckets at a time. 😭 Again, BRAVO guys! ♥
Haha thanks Terry! Yeah it’s definitely interesting renovating an old house like this. We had the same “issues” when renovating our apartment jn Stockholm (building from 1925) - Edward built the skeleton to a partitian wall lying on the floor, and when raising it up it fitted perfectly on one side and had a 6 cm gap on the other 😂 that’s how we learnt…
Wow the transformation is incredible! The paint color looks great and really love the tile job- so gorgeous. When you lay in all of that lovely wine please put up room darkening shades on that beautiful window to make sure the wine doesn’t spoil from light strike. Enjoy your purchases!
The corners were white when you were rollering, and hadn't been cut in. The reason professional painters cut in with a brush, is because the roller leaves a different texture, and you want to have that consistency with the rest of the walls. I hope that helps. @@OurItalianDreamHouse
I'm sure it will be gorgeous. You definitely have an eye for a nice decor. However, my vote is for a fireplace. It will make this wine room very cozy during long fall/winter evenings. Also, do you work remotely or what is the secret for a such remote lifestyle? Love you guys.
Thank you so much! That fireplace was un-usable according to our ”geometra”. However, we’re actually moving the fire place we temporary installed in the living room into the cantina for the exact reasons you’re mentioning 😊🙏
Thank you Andrea! Ha, that’s been my plan the whole time 😍🙏 last summer in Sweden I got my hands on a huge poster by Hilma af Klint for the cantina. Im just trying to source a frame big enough, haha.
Thank you! Haha riiight?! We actually dont care what other people think about our design choices, it’s more that it gets annoying having to explain ourselves over and over again 😂
Not really. In Sweden we use a lot of white and beige. Im however very design interested and take most of my design inspiration from magazines like AD Italia - showcasing designer homes from all over the world 😊
Thanks Scotty! Haha that’s a great idea. However we havent prepped for electricity in there and I imagine the measurements are not standard wine fridge size 😂🙏

Ernie needs to be in every video, he's a star 😉😍

@@OurItalianDreamHouse For a talent like Ernie that sounds like a fair deal. His contract needs 25% screen time guarantees per episode. 🤛🤩
😍🙏

Thank you so much Marisa! Haha yes Ernie is our most important critic 😂🫶 luckily he’s a pretty easy going and laidback guy.
@@OurItalianDreamHouse you’re so welcome! Big hugs to you all! 🤗🥰

Hahahaha thanks Carolyn! If I have to explain One More Time that it’s green and not black ai might loose it 😂😂
I've yet to see any cantina painted white - what if you spill red wine and it splashes on thr lovely white wall?! LOVE the colour 👏👍
haha very valid point! In our dark green cantina you can spill all the wine you want 😁
Ett modershjärta klappar lite extra när jag ser hur ni sliter. Fint blir det❤️
❤️❤️
I am glad you have decided to keep the beams exposed. Ernie is becoming the party crasher. Hope you are enjoying the process again.
So are we 😊 hahaha Ernie is 1000% a party crasher. ❤️
No wall is straight my home 1870, render about 1 inch to some places 2 inches. Made me laugh when you said no wall is plumb haha great video ty

Wine in Piemonte!
Thank you so much Niklas! Once we get rid of the visible water tubes and get the cupboard done it will be an epic room 😁

Thank you so much Michelle! And great idea 😍

Ernie sends his love 🫶

🥂
I love your vision!
Thank you so much Susanne!
You guys are always doing an amazing job. Keep up the great work, love watching your episodes.!!❤
Thank you Christine! ❤️❤️❤️
I like the dark green! Great progress.
Thank you Melissa! 😊
FYI, you should cut in all the corners and around power points, switches, windows, and doors before rollering the paint.
We did that?

And yes, we work remotely as digital marketers and web designers 😊 running our own little digital agency since 2017.
Looks fantastic. A few pieces of eclectic art on the walls would add atmosphere?

Great color, to hell what other people have to say!😊

Ho lo stesso colore su una parete in cucina..😅🔝👍
Davvero? non vedo piu tanto colore qui in Italia. 😅 sempre bianco per un stile moderno. Ma sembra molto bello anche con una parete verde 🥰
What a great color! Lucky you that you like it as well (as there isn’t any other color anyways, right? 😅)! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hahaha love this! Thank you Hannah 😍🙏
I wondered about the paint choices....is that a cultural preference--most houses where you grew up?
Not really. In Sweden we use a lot of white and beige. Im however very design interested and take most of my design inspiration from magazines like AD Italia - showcasing designer homes from all over the world 😊
why you do not use a carbine hook for the rope on the end, you don't need to bind the rope again on the bucket.
Haha since we do everything by hand and the buckets are wobbly we thought this was the safest way 😂
Looking great! Would a bar fridge fit in the old fireplace space? Just a suggestion - or don't you need those in Piedmont?
Thanks Scotty! Haha that’s a great idea. However we havent prepped for electricity in there and I imagine the measurements are not standard wine fridge size 😂🙏
Pretty dark, i would not like it.
Smaken liksom baken är delad.
