Everyone seems to be talking about Nikon - But now in a positive & respectable manner. Go, Nikon. I have been a Nikon user since D3 & I remember people talking highly of Nikon back then; I feel like This is a grand D3 moment that people will remember for years to come.
I've never been a Nikon guy, but the Z9 ticks almost all the boxes for me, so I'm going all in and now just need to wait for the order to eventually come through. Very excited
Thank you, Ricci, for demonstrating some of these cool new features. Can't wait! (AND... I made this comment on Wednesday. On Thursday, my local camera store called me, and sprung the news that my Z9 will be here TOMORROW! )
Thank you, Ricci. 👍 Great demonstration in use and function of 2.0 firmware. ...Looking forward to download and on my Z9. Very pleased with the performance it still gets better. ...Good job Nikon! ❤
This update is huge and significant and really breathtaking!!! First, this upgrade includes a lot of cool few features. Second, and more importantly, it shows the camera's hardware is really capable of handling more complicated tasks with new firmware, which means continuing increase in return of investment for photographers and this is amazing. Great job Nikon!!
The ability to record ProRes Raw in camera as well as Nikon's new N-Raw is absolutely groundbreaking in the mirrorless world. I had no intention of buying a Z9 until yesterday but I just ordered one after seeing this video. I have been using a Z6 and Z7 with the NinjaV but the Z9 is way more highly specified. Now for the long wait it seems. Exciting stuff though. I wonder if Final Cut Pro will be updated for N-Raw or will I have to learn DaVinci Resolve as well.
I love my Z6II. But Nikon's choice not to use the AF assist of an external flash in the Z series is in some cases a minor disaster. It is only a small group that misses that, it is a pity that Nikon does not adjust this. The Af light on the boddy is useles becouse mostley blocked bij the lens/lenscap. (The z would not detect the red color, but if the light is turned on anyway, flashes can be made with different colours of af light)
Hi, Yes, Nikon cameras allow moving the focus point around the frame. If you are having any issue with this feature, please do not hesitate to reach out to the support team: www.nikon.co.uk/en_GB/footers/contact_us.page
Hello AK Paulsen, Sorry for the delay in a reply. With the new firmware update the Z 9 will now display the frame size and frame rate in video mode (e.g. "2160/ 30p").
Was a pleasure to be filmed by these guys and this amazing camera!
94% Gold Awards by DPreviews with highest regards by their editors… Nikon engineers deserves Standing Ovation! 🤯😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Same here , but since F2 ! Definitely a D3 moment . Thank you Nikon🙏

Thanks Ricci for that awesome content. It’s also sweet to see the genre what I photograph the most.

The same Jackie Chan Wil use to watch??😲😲😲😲
Awesome. I'm glad my newly arrive Z9, arrived today, already has this.
Where would Nikon marketing be without Ricci?

Hello Ricci, great video, I must say I do like the new update for stills. Thank you
Amazing camera. Great video. 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice! Super clear explanations.
thank you. really nicely done.
Amazing update! Please give us the option for a 3x4 overlay and not just 4x5!!! A lot of us still prefer the 645 framing dimensions :)
All looking good on my Z9 so far!! That’s my local Hatchet Pond isn’t it?
You are correct it is indeed Hatchet Pond! Great spot, Ricci (and the Z 9) nailed it.
Nikon you need to add control of iso in post for your N-Raw codec. This is a must and I hope you fix this.
more than 3mths after i placed my order in the UK and I'm still waiting stock. C'mon guys, wtf!
I know they have given a slight focus tweak on the z6ii but hope they can up it a bit more.
Wow 8 k 60 amd 12 bit 👍😃👍
Excelent Nikon.
Don't suppose the z50 is getting any updates? Had mine for a few days and its amazing!
Hi Luke, we can't confirm this, but please keep an eye on our socials for updates.
they should also add Anamorphic aspect ratio. in case they have already added it then cool.
Will the Ninja V+ be able to record the 4k/8k and oversampled 4k using h.265?

Is is possible to move the custom AF area boxes around the frame or are they fixed in one position?

Can the new video menu show shutter angle or shutter speed?
Hello AK Paulsen,
Sorry for the delay in a reply.
With the new firmware update the Z 9 will now display the frame size and frame rate in video mode (e.g. "2160/ 30p").
firmware v2.0 did not fix the issue review by wildlife inspired.

Awe geez why no pre-release with 20 fps RAW? I have not shot jpg in 15 years.
And I stopped shooting raw 10 years ago … depends what you need to do with your files
@@andrewllewellyn1107 would have been great to have the option to have pre-release for either format.
@@billboswell7275 I understand and agree but doing what I do it doesn't make a lot of difference to me

Hi.
