Fun fact: Andy's mom was originally going to return but the director decided to take the story in a new direction so Andy's mom was institutionalized & Andy was placed in foster care. I think it was a smart decision & worked well story wise, since Andy was in a new place where no one would automatically believe him about Chucky & Kyle became his new protector when she learned he was telling the truth.
Actually Catherine hicks was pregnant so she couldn't do the movie
Just wished they show her and the cop in the tv series. It feel satisfying she also gets back at chucky for ruining her life and losing her son.
This is really a quality horror sequel. Glad to see you guys enjoyed it.
It's the best of the bunch in my opinion
@@crimesforkibble6912 It is really good. Plus the Chucky effects were really on point. They upped their game for the sequel. And that climax in the factory is just such a good idea. So many opportunities in it.
@@crimesforkibble6912 I think the military base one was good too
The third one is decent, bride and seed of chucky are more horror comedy then curse and cult of chucky are like a return to form more straight horror but brings back some legacy characters and storyline then leads directly into the tv series which is pretty good in its own right.
Child’s play 1 and 2 and bride are my top 3. You right 3 is decent. A lot of people not a fan of that movie and I can see why the theme is just boring and played out at that part. Most of the movie is spent in an army school and nun of the characters have any character build up fr fr.
What makes the Child’s Play series so good is its creator Don Mancini. Mancini has complete creative control of the Chucky I.P., and even when it veered into goofiness, it was still a blast. He kept all his leading players, including not just Brad Dourif but Alex Vincent, the kid. When the studio wanted to reboot the franchise, Mancini held onto the rights to his doll and took it to television instead. The theatrical reboot did away with the supernatural element and made the doll into a glitched robot, and it was a major fail. While the TV series already got a second season and is doing mighty fine.
For a horror series with all those films & now show, all of it is overall good. You get a lot of them where too many of the sequels are horrible, but Chucky is well done.
Don created the concept for the doll but the voodoo idea wasn't actually his but Tom Hollands since Dons idea they felt wouldn't do well called "blood buddy" where originally he wanted to have the doll come alive by Andy cutting his hand with him cutting his own hand and mixing his blood either the dolls synthetic blood and the doll would kill acting out as Andy's dark subconscious manifestations. Holland and Lafia said that would be a bad idea and Tom thought of the voodoo concept and the rest is history.
Chucky works better when he's serious and pissed honestly. The show is fun but not as good as the older films.
The reboot compared to the original wasn't nearly as good but fun for what it is on its own. Id watch the reboot over seed which was horrible. That movie caused chucky to go to DVD vod sadly because it was horrible at the box office.
The reboot really wasn't that bad
I really liked it
@@seantds619 Agreed. I don't get why people hate it, I feel a lot hate on it just because it's not classic Chucky.
Third Season is next month.
Best chucky movie, best chucky design, best chucky laugh, best chucky moments. Chucky is so badass in this movie.
Also, Andy is underrated as a "final girl" (yes I know he's not a girl, I'm just using the term because he fits the definition in every other way besides his gender). He deserves the recognition Tommy Jarvis gets. If anything, I think he's more impressive than a lot of final characters because of his age. We never saw Andy as an adult in the series until 2013, his ages in the movies were 6-16.
I agree #100%
He would have gotten away with it if he wasn't flexing about being human again like the clock in Beauty and the Beast
Child's Play 3 and Bride of Chucky are my favorites of the franchise.
@@zombiesingularity same for me on 3, never understood the hate on it
@@Happofusagarii your crazy , personally I don’t like it but I don’t dislike it either. It was watchable and entertaining when I used to watch it as a kid
You didn’t realize when Chucky said his name was “Tommy”, he paused 1*, he was going to say “my name is Chucky and I’m your friend ‘till the end”, but thought about it 1*
That part always makes me laugh.
He had to think about it, like "what was that asshole's name? That fuck whose face i caved in, then buried"?
I remember watching as a kid that part go laughing I think there's even a director's cut of Child's Play 2 out there cuz I could have sworn there's deleted scenes left out I wish they would finally release that version would love to get it in my collection
@@juggalogamer8541 Not a directors cut but the syfy cut way back when it was called sci fi i have that cut it also has extended scenes and a different ending where you see the factory make a new doll it zooms to one of his eyes with some of his skin that landed in a vat of plastic then zooms in to a new doll head without eyes have an evil smile then it freezes frame into credits.
@@MKF30 yeah I remember that scene from when it was called sci fi
The third child's play is a must y'all's reaction was priceless.
"Chucky's gonna be a bro"
Fr
In my opinion this is one of the few movies when a sequel is better than the first. Love this movie.
I’ve always assumed that once Chucky’s eyes were put into a new body then he could always come back. What I mean is this movie took the term “Eyes are the windows to the soul” & gave that as the reason as to why he can come back. It’s probably not a reason but that’s how I’ve always seen it
I never thought of it like that 🤔 good catch. Eyes are the windows to the soul 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Fun Fact: @8:30 The reason the guy said "2 week anniversary" to the woman on the phone is because it was his lady on the side! On the deleted/alternate scene it shows him on the phone with his wife first telling her he'll be home late and then he calls this lady that we hear on this theatrical release!
You guys' faces when Chucky got melted by the wax was priceless 😃
Y'all's facial expressions during the third act is instant classic! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Child's Play is one of the rare franchises where, to me, every movie is actually very good. Granted they start leaning more on the cheese with Bride and Seed of Chucky. Then again go back to aiming more towards the fun horror in the newer ones. They still always stay fairly true to who Chucky is and actually give reasons for why/how Chucky comes back after being defeated.
Charles never disappoints me love this series of movies
lol I love when people call him “Charles” 😂
This was a great sequel. A classic horror movie. Very solid and still one of my favorite chucky movies til this day. 🔥🔥🔥
Catherine Hicks, who played Andy’s mother, did want to come back but they wanted to go another route with the sequel. She’s actually married to the guy who did the special effects for this movie.
Glad to see yall continue the franchise. The first 3 are great
I love all of them
Bride of Chucky was pretty cool. Thats my opinion. I saw it in theaters and i snuck in with no adult. I was supposed to watch Rush Hour.
@@MUGTOWN4LIFE Naughty naughty lol
All of them are great.
Agree the first three are the golden era
I love these first 3 movies. That plastic bag scene gave me nightmares as a kid.
All of them are great.
The third one has some good moments, but is definitely a lull. Bride of Chucky comes next and reinvents the franchise into more of a comedy.
I agree with the 3rd film, it has it's good moments especially the finale but it's my least favorite, Bride Of Chucky is my favorite, it's so funny and I think Chucky is at his best! And I personally love the scarface Chucky look, it shows all the punishment he endured over the first 3 films, lol.
@@Adrianne519 I think the recent TV series is probably my favorite. I love all of the references and characters from the whole history of the franchise.
@@politicalfisticuffs9531 Yeah the series is great! Haven’t gotten to the second season yet but I really liked the first!
Number 3 had some great deaths, some comedic, some satisfying, some tragic, and one death that was selflessly heroic!
The facial expressions by you two during this movie were priceless! 😂😂😂. Now, do Final Destination 2. It’s also a solid movie sequel. Love you guys!
I second this!
the logs!! omg they'll be traumatized like the rest of us!
Destination finale 2, Scream 3.... Still Wait
Thanks for the upload 😂😂😂 My favorite part on Child’s Play 2 is when he tells Andy “I got you now Andy! And do you know what I’m gonna do to you? I’m gonna cut off your legs too!” 😭😭😭😭
16:46 - 17:00 this part shows how gifted Chuckie‘s voice actor really is
I love the first two Chucky's they're so good there's just something about that Chucky doll that just looks so messed up and I love how he curses all the time.
33:08 - you see, that's what happens when you get competent writers and people involved with making a followup, instead of those who simply want an easy paycheck, they put in the effort
As someone who never rode a bike or owned an air pump when chucky stabbed the teacher, for years I’ve been confused as to what he had stabbed her with.
It was the pump for all of the dodgeballs that were in the closet
@@chrispipes5451 I didn’t even think air pumps were sharp so seeing that totally caught me off guard for years cause I could never imagine something sharp in a closet at a school in elementary.
@@BrandonJames2016 yeah the pump for inflating sport balls has a 2 or 3 inch hollow metal bit on it, like a dull syringe needle. You could definitely stab a bitchy teacher with it.
its crazy that in the decade we got the rockys and the terminators we also got Andy, a no nonsense child who could mix it up with the best of them lol
Andy be throwin hands
I will go to grave insisting that _Child’s Play 2_ has the single greatest example/use of Chekov’s Gun in narrative history. As soon as I saw the eyeball machine in the opening sequence, I knew. I KNEW!
Same here, the moment I saw it I just got this feeling it was for shadowing some eye popping action lol
I believe Chucky beat the heck out of Tommy because Tommy represented what Chucky hates about his existence as a doll.
I always wanted to know what happened to the 2 detectives from the first movie. Wouldn't they be able to confirm that Chucky was alive?
I always asked the same thing it’s like they just disappeared from the franchise
It’s cuz he first one was directed by Tom
Holland
Every single time someone called out for Andy, I always say "What!?"
I can't help it 🤣
This is honestly the fan favourite of the series followed by Bride of Chucky.
The critics got it so wrong with this one.
Best final act, best design, Brads voice was solid in this one, best fucking Chucky movie.
Amazing sequel.
You guys are younger than me but when I originally seen this the end scene where she sticks the hose into the melted Chucky reminds me of one of the Garbage Pail Kid cards
Child’s Play 3 is a Must Watch I love how dumb it keeps getting. Can’t wait till you guys get to the Show as well!
First of all why is that doll still in the house after everything Andy has been through. Whether you believe the doll is alive or not, you know that the kid has gone through something very traumatic involving the doll. No real concerned adult would continue to keep that damn doll around knowing Andy's history.
Omg I love this sequel. To me, they amped up the gore and drama. You gotta finish up the original child's play trilogy please 😁👏
Why would Chucky want to make Andy look bad and committed ?! If he wants to be placed inside of him, he to would be locked away.
Really really good point!
I always thought that the cop from the first one should have gotten some type of comeuppance for sending the mom to the crazy house, knowing she was telling the truth about Chucky. I hope he comes back to the tv show and gets owned.
Let just say if you like part 2 you will appreciate part 3 do for the channel 😊
This is definitely the best Chucky movie.
I know this might not be the right place to do this, but might I suggest a film named “Only the Brave”? It’s a true story about one of the most elite firefighter team in America and how they fought wildfires using new and unusual (but effective) tactics, more than often finding themselves alone fighting a raging wild inferno
If you remember the first one they put the emphasis on “it has to be the heart” at the end of this one they didn’t destroy the heart.
I remember they also did this into comic book which was pretty good and accurate to this movie
I didn't care for this one as much as the first. But that climax in the factory makes this movie a TOTALLY worth watch =)
Please continue scream and child’s play on the channel. Such good horror series throughout.
Chucky use to scare me as a kid. The factory scene is what done it for me. My dad use use chucky as a way for me to behave and scared me saying he was in my closet and if i didn’t want him to get me, i better stop. I’m 29 now and i watch all the chucky movies all the time.
Same. When I was a child, Chucky scared the hell out of me.
Now I think he's hilarious and could never find him scary. Dude's personality is just too much.
Chucky beating the shit out of Tommy is like Rugrats the dark version.
"He looks like a fucking loser." Curtis has all the best burns.
And can I just say these movies have such realistic dialogue, even when it goes completely against being a horror movie, and that's one of the things that's so good about them? Chucky talking about woman drivers totally makes him a more real character and is hilarious.
My favorite thing about the Child's Play movies now is the fact that the kids name is Andy....same as the kid in Toy Story
"PROBLEM CHILD"(1990) PLZ yall will freaking love I already knw
More vote plz they need to review this one 🤣🤣🤣
I hope y’all watch everything Chucky 😂 I need y’all to catch up
👍👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
Kurtis was like "Chucky just jumps out swearing" that is why Chucky is the GOAT!
Bur after he said that, Chucky only came screaming, not swearing
That actress playing Andy's adopted mother is the same actress who played the nurse in american werewolf in london.
There is an alternate ending, but that was released in a TV airing. Chucky's eye landed in the goop and when it made a new Good Guy doll face, that face made an evil grin before credits rolled.
You guys should keep continuing the sequel of chucky honestly it keep getting more interesting & crazier. The evolution of Chucky is Bizarre
4.Seed of chucky
5.Bride of chucky
6.The curse of chucky
7.The cult of chucky
8.Child Play
SORRY JACK!
CHUCKY'S BACK!
Taking place 2 years after CHILD'S PLAY, Andy Barclay, our boy hero, is now in foster care and thinks that everything is okay. Unfortunately, his problems begin again as the plastic psychopath has returned to seek revenge against Andy and those who stand in his way will not be so lucky.
Brad Dourif is a legend!
He plays Charles Lee Ray "Chucky"
Don’t know how far your gonna go with these sequels, but after No.3 you’ll see a shift in tone of the movies, they go from horror to horror comedy, and I think it had something to do with what happened in the UK not long after the 3rd films release on home media, VHS at the time… two 10 year old boys kidnapped a 2 year old boy from a shopping centre, took him to some near by train tracks and tortured and killed him, when they arrested them they found copies of Childs Play 3 in their houses and police came to the conclusion they were trying to copy scenes (as Chucky kidnaps a kid and takes him into the woods).. as a reaction the movie was pulled from shops and basically banned on TV stations in the UK and in some places in Europe.. so I think they changed the name of the movies (*insert name* Of Chucky) and the tone to try and put some distance from the controversy
I was born a year after the first movie came out (in November of 1989) so I grew up on Chucky, he was my fave fictional horror guy. Still is to be honest. But hey, my mom should of known the way I'd turn out cause I hated dolls like barbies and baby dolls, but I didnt go anywhere without my Chucky doll. LOL
In "Cult Of Chucky" you find out that Andy and the girl became friends. You see them as adults. The same actors.
And in the series! They’re in it a lot!
Alex Vincent and Christine Elise are also friends in real life
Just putting it out there - all of the first 4 movies are absolutely worth watching.
It's great that the actors for Andy and Kyle reprise their roles in the Chucky TV series.
The lead actress from the first film actually married the guy who did the visual effects for CHUCKY in all the films up to BRIDE OF CHUCKY (so she WAS on set for the sequel), but for whatever reason, they didn't use her or the original cop (although there was supposed to be a courtroom scene at the opening, but they ultimately never filmed it).
You guys should react to Tales from the hood…such a good movie! 🤗
Yes! I was hoping you'd see to my recommendation comment to watch this! This is gonna be awesome 😎👍 Love you bros
Said the same thing glad they watched it. This is my favorite Chucky movie.
Fun fact this movie franchise was supposed to be called Batteries not included but another film came out the same year with the same title so they had to change it to Child’s Play
Child's Play 3 (1991)
Child's Play 4 (1998)
Child's Play 5 (2004)
Child's Play 6 (2013)
Child's Play 7 (2017)
Child's Play 8 (2019)
I saw this (and the first one) when I was still a relatively young horror enthusiast and looking back at it as an adult, I thought "Yeah wow there were some REALLY gruesome scenes in this" lol...
Oh Chucky, how he entertains me. I don't know if y'all noticed but the foster mom was the nurse in American Werewolf in London. (she is also in Logans Run and Avengers: Age of Ultron.) And Brad Douriff played Billy Bibbet in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. I'm not so hip on part 3 but am super jazzed about y'all getting to Bride and Seed of Chucky. more humor but my favorites from the franchise.
The tag line for this movie should of been "Andy didn't come to play!" On the posters. Cause his smug face when he put him through the conveyer belt was everything 🙌 you know there's more movies right before the reboot. Can't wait u do Bride of Chucky. Tbh that one is my fave
Great movie idk if it’s just me tho but I just got a kind of a comedy vibe from this movie did anyone else
One of my favorite quotes in this movie "Shut up before I kick your fuckin teeth in". This movie is very entertaining for sure. The third movie isn't terrible either. After that I will let you guys decide whether the series gets better or worse.
Great reaction and yes this is one of the best horror sequels ever!!! I hope you guys continue with the Child's Play series, like any other long running franchise it'll have it's sillier and down points but it's a fun ride overall. I actually felt Phil's death was better than the teacher beating her to death with a school ruler? lol But it's hilarious.
The third one is very good! I hope you do it for the channel
👍👍👍👍
They’d didn’t do it , they need to watch bride as well as curse
You've got to give it to brad dourif for the voice acting wow😂
I personally have a headcannon. I always thought chucky being in a new body, to me being rebuilt and getting new parts counts, makes it to where the first person he tells he supposed to try to escape on. In this case it was grace Poole he told when he was looking for Andy when he says it was his uncle Charles. Towards the end he was too late so it didn’t matter who he told. I like to think though that if he tried it with the opportunity to get out it still wouldn’t have worked because of grace getting told
This is my favorite of the whole franchise.
First movie was alright. I always thought this one was much more entertaining overall. Third one is freaking hilarious.
Now imagine being 5 years old while watching this 😂
You guys are awesome I love your reactions to movies there so funny & entertaining.
He was just adopted there is no way those files will have his most current phone.
Love this movie great sequel and awesome reaction as always. You two are the best
Also, you guy's reaction to Andy smoking had me laughing.
I have fond memories of watching this all the time on bootleg VHS back in the 90's. (Sigh) The good old days man. The good old days.
I miss it at times. Wish I could remember whatever happened to it.
The voice of Chucky was actually in a music band in the early 1960s called the deviance if you look at Comcast Xfinity sounds of the season channel hidden facts through Halloween as well as other holidays
Not really horror, but a great thriller you may like is Wait Until Dark 1967 with Audrey Hepburn.
@4:05 I don't know how old you guys are, but that's how we fixed a lot of things in the 90's when I was growing up lol. VCRs, TVs, game consoles, etc.
The most famous scene from this movie was the classroom scene and the final showdown
I always assumed Chucky was able to come back because of the electricity surge, kind of like shocking his body/essence back to life.
When Chucky breaks in and tells him *You're it* in HideTheSoul 😅😰😱
It's rare but sometime they do a sequal right.. "The Empire Stikes Back", "Jaws II" and "Superman 2" are my 3 favourites.
"Childs Play 3" is actuly great worth a watch..
The Chucky puppetry gets better and better with each sequel.
The newer stuff uses CG, but very sparingly. It's still almost all practical effects and puppets. And they look great.
Mmm I don't really support you, child's play 2 is peak about puppetry, in child's play 3 looks really weird, bride is pretty good but not at level of this one and from seed they look so fake (gotta say curse looks pretty decent when he get the scars)
Great reaction guys…. The best thing I like about this series of movies is they all carry on from each other & tie in, I hope you continue with the rest of them as you get some more lore too… as for the voice yeah Brad Dourif is what makes Chucky & believe it or not when they done the remake they changed to voice actor to Mark Hamill & it ruined it imo..
Awesome Work Brothers and Thanks 👍👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
Bride of Chucky is also awesome some people hate it but Its my second fav in the franchise
I like the chucky movies because every film is completely different from the one before it. Each film has its own theme and vibe and I lobe that they do that cause other horror movies do the same shit every movie.
Pleaseee do the third and bride of chucky!! The 4th is sooo epic and sooo funny lol
You guys would be doing a disservice to your fans if you don't react to Part 3 on the channel. WE WANT TO SEE YOU REACT TO THE WHOLE SERIES!
I died at "Ask your mother, she's definitely not!"🤣🤣🤣
great reaction is always boys you guys should totally just check out the rest of the franchise I think you'd have a really good time with the whole thing the more and more of these movies go on the more and more you get way more Chucky
You guys would love
The Guardian (1990)
The Cell (2000)
Top tier horror movie sequels usually have the protectionist take charge of their situation; Aliens, Terminator 2, Child's Play 2, Tremors 2.
"That decor is UGLY" fr thats the first thing I said when I first saw their house lmaoooo xDDD I love CP2 for a bunch of reasons. Andy got more badass and street-smart and Kyle was like the badass grungey big sister I've always wanted and the way they genuinely care & looked out for each other warmed my heart
