Here's the thing though. Tim is legitimately wrong about this, because, if you look at the poster (and don't just get your opinions from websites, but actually watch the VHS tapes from the archives) it's clearly set in San Francisco. I dunno, I'm trying not to lose my temper here, but you Timheads are starting to seem all the same. I'm trying to reach out. Cross the aisle so to speak. Don't watch pirated movies guys.
William Shatner blocked me on Twitter over this topic last night because he forgot which movie was which. I don't blame him, he's the one making the movies and it's hard to see the forest through the trees from his POV. Mr. Shatner, I will be honored for you to let me follow you again on Twitter as soon as you accept the plotlines of your movies! ❤️
There should be a new segment where Greg visits piracy criminals in jail to give em’ hell... and maybe a tiny pair of handcuffs they can attach to their keys to remind them of their betrayal to the movie industry.
You know, Tim's character is a worse person than me, you, or just about anyone for that matter. But, that being said, it's outright saintly to abstain from bashing Gregg with a copy of the Star Trek IV novelization.
I admit i was worried watching the first few pieces that maybe Gregg isn’t the expert I thought he was. But that all changed when I saw the last segment where Gregg went to San Francisco and finally proved beyond a doubt that he was right all allong. You can’t deny what you see with your very eyes. Thanks Gregg thanks Peter Jackson!
That Star Trek tape was obviously pirated because the title is wrong. The real title is "Star Trek IV: And the Legend Continues." "The Voyage Home" is an animated film about pets, voiced by Michael J. Fox and Don Ameche.
I can't believe someone who can't tell the difference between San Fransisco and Space thinks they have a chance of getting elected, what a monster. #NOTMYDA
the best part is that i've never seen any star trek thing ever, so i have absolutely no clue which of them is right i'm gonna go with tim because he beat 20 counts of murder charges, therefore he is trustworthy
Star Trek II is great, but my favourite will always be Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. I'll always love that scene where Kirk asks what God would do with a starship.
@@HannibalOrJustRex Hey as owner of this channel how have you not deleted and moderated this comment, and banned this idiot from your channel? Gregg is CLEARLY right
i could buy a book about the history of The Jefferson Airplane and it would mention San Francisco but that doesn't mean it's the basis of the Star Trek movie. check mate, Tim.

_"That's just a catalogue number. It doesn't mean anything."_
My heart skipped a beat when he said that.
It's not an officially sanctioned VFA catalogue number so Gregg's right, it doesn't mean anything.
@@ethzero you're on thin ice.
Gregg needs to be prosecuted for lying under oath.
You can say that again!!!!!
Gregg did nothing wrong (unlike Tim who killed 20 kids)
But he's technically right, no? There were scenes actually "set in San Francisco" I thought.
@@garysheehan5907 that's for the courts to decide
Love that the whole thing could be resolved by just watching the movies together.
Tim would absolutely swap the labels on the tapes.
I mean, yeah. That’s the joke.
Problem is Gregg would probably use his homemade pirated tapes. Anything could be on those tapes!
@@chileo1 Gregg undergoes painstaking research to make sure each cassette admitted into the VFA is officially sanctioned and not pirated.

Never miss a chance to bring up Hobbit.
I just love that Gregg CANNOT admit that he's wrong.
He proved it at the end of this video. Case close
Not being able to admit you are wrong when you are right is actually a good thing

Flat earther of movies
@@jimreily7538 ima Timhead but I gotta admit the vhs cover is a pretty compelling argument.
I’m still on the fence..
This is kind of a classic disagreement in terms of film criticism.

5:34 The Hobbit defense is pretty compelling
This video needs to be updated with the footage from the trial of tim heidecker.
Yes, I gotta find a way to do that. Tim will probably go to prison for perjury if this argument gets fully investigated in court
4:00 should have happened long ago
Probably because the person who compiled this is a Greg head
“Crew must Kurt Kirk must tuh true crew ... Kirk and his crew must travel back in time to 1986 ....”
Boy, this is just a real treat for the Trek Heads out there, and a little bit of fun for just about anybody!
I respect Tim as a host, but why would California be considered Spock's home? He's from outer space. Gregg is the buff for a reason.
If that was true, then why was Kirk conceived on SETI ALPHA 6 and then born on Regula I ?
Isnt spock half human?
I'm not convinced either way but I'm leaning more towards Star Trek II being the San Francisco one.
Do some more research and you'll change your mind.
That's just your opinion.
In my opinion Wrath of Kahn is where they search for spock, the one after is where they're in San Francisco
4:00 foreshadowing. shoutout to Mark
Ultimately Tim is right despite having haircuts to the contrary.
Underrated comment.
I'm so glad this compilation exists

tim just brought it back up in the court case hahaha

You know, Tim's character is a worse person than me, you, or just about anyone for that matter. But, that being said, it's outright saintly to abstain from bashing Gregg with a copy of the Star Trek IV novelization.

The truth is every Star Trek film except V has scenes in San Francisco.
The point about the 59th page should have settled it all.

when are they finally going to watch the movie together?
Tim hasn't thought of that. Yet.
both are correct about San Francisco... Gregg was wrong when he said "Home" was the space. CUT
when he asked "have you seen the hobbit", I felt that
Tim's hollywood connections and production company were able to mock up a very realistic videotape box

Thanks gregg and tim for bringing this argument to mind and making me just a little more interested in the original star trek film stuff thanks
