its odd how back in the day I was in So Cal/was aware of QOTSA/EODM and really liked the songs I heard a lot yet I didn't get into either band....fast forward early '19 mysterious/never identified, yet very much life threatening health issues turn my whole world upside down.....early '20 still in dire shape a few odd events happen and put me onto the scent of these 2 desert blokes.....I have a deep passion for much music but I wouldn't say what Im about to about any other 2 bands.....the catalogs/comedy/energy of these bands literally re-upped my will to live when I couldn't even care that my will was at zero...and by you posting this you played a part in that too...seeing me through a darkness I never would have imagined possible...I tip my hair hat and sincerely thank them... and you .....all life is a gift.....CHEERS!!!!!!!!

I never saw this before. I loved their second album. It is probably favorite one. I had the pleasure of seeing EOFM in Toronto Canada during Riot Fest in Sept 2015. They only played for fifteen minutes due to a rain storm but I like their boogie influenced rock.
I never knew this album was recorded at Sound City. That looks like a rocking studio with arcade games.

Okay, man. I must seem like a dick, so let me reiterate. I stopped listening to them because personally I can't support anyone who supports Trump, no matter how much I love the music. (And believe me, I fucking love the music!) Once he started touting Trump in concert and in interviews, I could no longer reconcile the music with his politics. (Seeing Redemption of the Devil certainly didn't dispel my suspicions of Jesse's red-neckery). Now, to be clear, it wasn't my intention to make an attack on the man's Christianity, but rather, the inhererent tenets of said Christianity. When I say I balk at the idea of him being a Southern Baptist, I am not referring to the Southern Baptist as an individual per se, but more so a subscriber to a very specific set of ideas. It's the Southern Baptist side of Jesse Hughes who is pro-life, who is pro-Trump, who loves Ronald Reagan, who loves the Second Amendment, who is in the NRA.... Don't misunderstand: It's not the Christian part that gets my goat. It's mostly the Southern Baptist part, if you can see the distinction. Also, think about the shock to the system it must've been for a fan like me to have to find out, after listening to them for years, that hey were actually one thing and not the other. I guess I had made the fatal mistake of judging a book by its cover. When I saw all the pentegrams and the song titles like "Kiss the Devil" and "Chase the Devil", not to mention Prince and Little Richard praise, and Froot Boots, for shit's sake... I man, can you not forgive me for being a bit put off to have to come to know that the same guy singing these songs and embracing Satanic imagery was also a reverend, and a gun-toting, bible-thumbing right-wing wing nut???? EEERRRRRRRRRRAAAAHHH!!!!! Sorry, bro. Much as my playlist misses "Speaking in Tongues", and "I Want You So Hard", and "Got the Power", and "Wanna Be in L.A." and countless other litty dittys dear to my heart.... Sorry.... Ain't gonna be able to do it. It's over. What can I say?
