    Thank God I found you and this channel! Someone gifted me a ton of this yarn...but it came with knitting instructions. I knit but I remembered someone crocheting it.

    Your instructions are very good; however, I would like to have seen the completed scarf to see how the ruffles lay. Thanks for a really nice video.

    I love this pattern. I made one like this last year using the blue/silver red heart yarn. Very easy to do, especially if you know how to crochet.

    Great! Easy to follow. You are very patient, especially when your last loop came out unintentionally. You don't get flustered, and that helps.
    I'm going to make one now! Thank you

    FYI I took my yarn and ironed the entire skein first and it made it so much easier to work with.

    • @joannwilson6220
      @joannwilson6220 8 лет назад

      +sandra managan I thought about doing that Sandra. Next skein, I will. Do the ruffles look better when yarn is ironed?

    • @Snickellfritzzaolcom
      @Snickellfritzzaolcom 7 лет назад

      I want to spread it as I Iron it and then lightly spray with spray starch so that it will hold it's shape and not crumble into a ball... I like big ruffles.

      i used to have the same issue because of pulling yarn from the center. Never have that problem any more since pulling from outside, although the yarn rolls around more

    • @MeliciouS1185
      @MeliciouS1185 10 лет назад

      Jenny Lenh If you pull the string from the center of the ball instead of the outside it wont roll around at all! :) Also, it doesn't get tangled!

    • @JessicaCaliwords
      @JessicaCaliwords 10 лет назад

      Jenny Lenh I just did my first one & worked from the outside. I had the same problem with the yarn becoming twisted. Thankfully, it wasn't hard to get it undone by just running my thumb down the middle!

    Thank you for your easy-to-understand explanation. I got several ruffles made but had to put my work down quickly and my hook came out and I lost what progress I had made. Is there any way to secure the ruffle after making before doing the next one? Thank you for any help.

    • @CrochetJewel
      @CrochetJewel  8 лет назад

      I would try to hold it with your fingers best you can or maybe place a hook or clip to secure it

    • @abbynormal4740
      @abbynormal4740 7 лет назад +1

      You can place a locking or split ring stitch marker into the last loop on your hook so your work doesn't unravel : )

    Nice, I'm going to try this. You make it look interesting. Not to mention easy. How ever I know it's not. I'm sure I'm all thumbs when it comes to this. I'm picturing in my mind I will be like Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act which is trying to thread the needle and puts them beads together. Lol

    Hi there! I'm having trouble with the scarf coming apart as I'm working on it. I do 10 stitches and pull thru and then do the next ruffle. Is there another step to tighten it? Thanks!

    • @CrochetJewel
      @CrochetJewel  10 лет назад

      Jenna Talleda hmm, make sure you pulled through all your loops. Not sure you need a step to tighten it if you just pull through all your loops.

      Geneva Harris i dont know

    • @faith66490
      @faith66490 10 лет назад +1

      It is very simple to do I use a flower loom and I start with the 2nd hole on the yarn, then I go around once then again, then you remove the first row by taking it over the second , the second row becomes the first then you go around again creating a second row you remove the row at the bottom the process continues until you get to the end .

      make it as long as you would like, you can keep going until you have your desired length, all depends on how long you want it.
