Ever since 2014 when me and my dad first found out about Gundam Model Kits, we were instantly hooked. Despite a lot of things breaking and the frustration, Gundam was just a way for us to relax and spend some time together. No, my dad is not dead, and we still build Gunpla together, but Gundam was just something for us to calm down after a long day. We constantly check if there are any new model kits at out local hobby shop and if we do, we buy it... a few weeks later. I've always loved robots, and so did my dad so this is something fun for both of us. We would dedicate entire shelves or display cases just for these model kits, because they meant so much to us. SO yeah, thank you for listening to my boring speech or whatever but yeah. That's how Gundam can affect lives like how it did with ours..

I need the gunpla in my local stores. I bought a star winning on amazon about two years ago and ever since them I haven't been able to purchase a single one. I want a HG Barbatos next but I won't get it ever because there are no shops where I can purchase Gundam products, let alone gunpla. And now, a very short story So a solid 5 years ago I found out about gunpla because of some toy painter I used to watch on RUclips and I begun my research, which led me to discover other giant robots like Evangelion (I refuse to watch it), darling in the shipp (only liked the bots), and Frame Arms (along with its gijinka counterpart). The day I watched a video by youheidx for the first time I immediately subscribed and checked out their channel, and I fell in love with the star winning. 3 years after, I finally bought it and asked my mother for help with the build, for I am quite impatient and I am somewhat weak. A few minutes later, it was "finished" and had nubs and misplaced stickers all over, but I still enjoyed both building it, and finishing the build. Sadly, I haven't been able to get or build any others since then and I miss the feeling of building a gunpla. But I still look forward to the day I get my hands on a new model kit, and do it right (except painting the damn thing, I am already broke enough as it is, although I WILL fix any loose joints
This is literally me I bought the HG barbatos 1/144 and now I want the RX-78-2 but my mom won't let me because of the shipping cost my mom is new to online shopping but not really if only there was a gunpla store in my country oh there is none oh no anime shops as well so I'm stuck here with my single gunpla left
I buyyed a HG Barbbatos 001. And then. For my second gunpla i buyyed the Gundam lo booster. (With some decals) and now i want the HG Rx 78-2 (for my b-day)
Great commercial IMO, but too bad gunpla is hard to get in some parts of the world. I have to buy all mine from amazon and hlj, but I'd like to pay the same price the Japanese do + some reasonable shipping. The places that do sell where I live either mark up the kits ridiculously or don't have a lot of selection at all. Its so bad that I have to import the stuff for my friends because they are getting ripped off so bad. I've bought shelves worth of gunpla over half the year but haven't gotten around to building any. But it's kinda awesome knowing that I have a stache to build at will. I echo the opinion of making gunpla a more accessible product to the global market: you can only maintain and grow the domestic for so long before it stagnates. Come on Bandai give me more of a reason to throw money at you!
Hey they now got some gunpla at target and hobby lobby I was able to find the RX 78 02 from gundam at target for 9$ and it holds up perfectly targets gubpla are normally 10 to 20. Hobby lobby kinda more pricey but you can hit up some good stuff I got the Gouf custom also from gundam. I mean they also got em at barns N noble book store if ya like playing 50 bucks for a high grade gundam.

***** Simple step they could take right here - Make a Medium sized Gunpla Factory in the West and East coast of ththe US. For gaming, you got Bungie and Ubisoft. There's a sht load of clothing companies they could pair with here. It's all because of fear of the "unknown". They're what if-ing so much the conversation ends with there obvious "well it can't be helped right" and "well we're doing good enough already right?"
***** yeah you're definitely right on that man.. I'm learning how to draw manga and I'm gonna steal America away from them soon if they don't take the chance.
The dub of gundam unicorn episode 7 is going to be released in English later this year, the english translation of Gundam The Origin is still bring released in the US, and earlier this year Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn was brought to the west. If more people bought these gundam would be more likely to be brought out more in the west.
TheUnownOfAwesome If they put more attention into making gundam more well known instead of just making English versions of their videos then they might get somewhere
***** to companies popularity doesnt matter if they arent making money. The only reason popularity matters is because popularity makes it more likely to increase sales.
Years ago during the Gundam Wing anime craze here in the Philippines yesrs ago in the 90's, I remember my two cousins build some Gunplas from the Gundam Wing series and also some SD gundam ones as well. now why are they showing none japanease people making the kits and getting them from SHOPS that sell them? does this mean the USA and UK mite be seeing the kits is REAL SHOPS, and not just online retail, come on the prices are just outragouse

There isn't a hobby shop near you that sells them?
@@Johnny_Galaxy its not in hobby shop
I found it at toy store in the mall
Hey they now got some gunpla at target and hobby lobby I was able to find the RX 78 02 from gundam at target for 9$ and it holds up perfectly targets gubpla are normally 10 to 20. Hobby lobby kinda more pricey but you can hit up some good stuff I got the Gouf custom also from gundam. I mean they also got em at barns N noble book store if ya like playing 50 bucks for a high grade gundam.

i'm a girl and i usually pick those that appeal to most guys i know. the beargguy doesn't really get my attention as much as cool, edgy looking dark coloured ones. besides, i know of guys who have their eyes on beargguy III.

I wish there were more people who liked Gundam at my age. I can't talk about it with anyone :(
Why not talk about it? It's a hobby after all
If only Bandai took steps to initiate gundam into broader fields.
Watching them building is enjoyable I'm not gonna lie but as I got older, building one for yourself is even more fun. And thank goodness I decide to starting building Gunplas last year in December.
(Thanks Gundam Vs. Gundam NEXT Plus(PSP) for reignited my appreciation for Gundam 8 years ago though before I decide to collect some Gunpla last year)
Gunpla is love. Gunpla is life. Gunpla will unite the world.

Great, now release Build Fighters out of Japan.
They aired the first season through youtube. You can find it on this channel.

Maybe he meant a dub?
Lionofash i think he meant to release plavasky particles so we can enjoy build fighters to the fullest
Lionofash There is dub version of Build Fighters here in Singapore.
America has some stupid law about literally showing sellable toys on cartoons. as to why Yugioh cards always looked weird in the dub. Build Fighters is full of the actual gunpla boxes. i'd imagine they'd be a pain in the ass to edit
This is adorable, but wait until these kids actually watch the shows x-x
