Davey Havok sounds fucking fantastic! His vocal range is unbelievable broad. His natural consistent singing is reminiscent of an opera singer and his screams are dirty as fuck! AFI is great and Havok is fantastic.

@@JB-ek5fi even the way Davey sings now is weird. He tries to sing very low with a whole bunch of vibrato it’s weird.
His voice was fine before. He had a high singing voice and it was unique, it was his. That’s when he used to have the passion I remember.

Saw them in Street Scene San Diego in 2004. Didn't know who they were then. My reaction: "What an awesome band this is!".

Havoks Voice is Incredible here! As is the other band members, everyone is killing it! Sad the crowd clearly has no clue who AFI even is. They are lucky as hell to get to witness this!
Loved the celluloid dream! One of My favs from them and bleed black! Such a tough song to play on guitar he is def underated
It really is unbelievable how good he sounds live compared to the digital format. The Blood Tour is one I will never forget!

This setlist + performance is stunning.
I had the pleasure of seeing them on the Blood Tour this passed winter and I must say, probably the best AFI show I've ever been to. Their set lists have been absolutely unreal for this tour. I also think being in Dreamcar is helping Davey's voice and even broadening it a bit, he's sounded phenomenal lately..
i hope that someday i will be privileged enough to see these guys in concert! i remember them from so long ago, but have reintroduced them to myself. why did i ever stop listening to them. i don't know. but i'm back now
You ever come to Los Angeles look out for a tribute band called "sang the sorrow" they are amazing to see perfrom afi music

End Transmission is like the hardcore version of Radar Love. This band has aged like a fine wine.
I've had the pleasure of catching them since 2003 6 times now. 1 of which was a private set. They're in a very small league of artists that not only sound better live but continue to sound better with time. I've gone from angsty teen in skinny jeans to middle aged dad and they're still kicking ass

I don't understand how people rag on Davey's voice...3 especially with such a powerful performance. Sure, it's different but it has to be because he was killing his voice before. And it's still unique and different and inspiring. I think everyone was ON in this performance.

Every year I drive past Firefly on my way to the beach. I vividly remember being heartbroken to miss it this year in particular, at least I’m finally getting to see AFI’s Set now.
Love that they played old Sing the Sorrow stuff.

Thank you very much for uploading this! Maybe the only HD quality live show of them on YT, and definitely the more recent one, I think. What an amazing band. They put on a great show, despite the crowd who seemed to wake up only towards the end. Cheers from Belgium (where I hope they'll visit one day, ha!).

I've never actually seen Davey sing the bridge in I Hope You Suffer while standing on the stage. He's usually standing on the crowd for that part.
So glad I found this , it's 4.05 am and really dark thoughts have been creaping in I've just been clicking on random videos then AFI appears .now have headphones in and volume up . The one band I would love to see but probably never will as I don't do well with crowds so this is the closest I'll get thank you

Davey sounds better than he ever has on this tour. The Crash Love era and even Burials era he did that stupid yelp thing at the end of every line. This is so so good.
Kylee Trotter he still does that stupid yelp thing during this show. It’s unnecessary....

I would enjoy it more, I dislike the song greatly but enjoy that version more. The whole “mainstream emo of the time” sound of DU but in particular his screaming I’ve always hated but he doesn’t even enjoy it anymore either (not sure he ever did from what I’ve heard in interviews)

It's a festival. The crowd usually sucks at a festival!
That is not the case with their own crowds.
Yes it is rather that Europe and America are very many festivals , and the Americans and Europeans are accustomed to seeing a variety of groups . Even the musicians themselves say many times that the concerts in Mexico , Russia , Japan very dynamic and the crowd energizes the band . I remember in Moscow came to the festival Metronomy , Miles Kane , Placebo and Kasabian . So the audience, even on Metronomy danced and jumped , although they are not popular in our country . But all this is subjective opinion .

I was at Download Festival and they did the same thing. Said thank you before Miss Murder and then walked off. I imagine it is all part of the performance.

Noticed a lot of people praising this setlist. It’s not bad by any means but it could definitely have used more songs from Black Sails or Art Of Drowning, maybe even a couple of Shut Your Mouth songs. Of course given a lot of the comments I’m reading I’m getting the feeling most of the people commenting don’t even realize that AFI existed way before Sing The Sorrow.

Why are all the comments saying how amazing Davey sounds? He's barely hitting the notes a lot of the time lol. His voice is not at all what it used to be and the band looks like they are just going through the motions, although thats probably cause the crowd barely cares.
