I searched up some Davey videos tonight because he's just so fucking lovely and earnest, and I felt like I needed some of his thoughts and attitude in my day. Fitting that he's talking about working out, meditation, etc, since that's what I've been focused on for the last month. New to meditation, and trying to switch my vegetarian diet to a more vegan approach after like 20 years, but also eliminating sugar and wheat, etc. I love that all my favorite artists are on the same page with the meditation, plant-based diets, working out, being mindful, non-godly, science-based, etc. (Isn't Headspace one of Jared Leto's investment companies too??)I Anyway. Fucking loved this, would love to hear more as this quarantine and rioting and whatnot goes on. I could use more real thoughts from people who have some grounding and honesty going on in their worlds. Book recommends FTW!

Love this man. Just saw AFI at the palladium later week and I didn’t know how much I needed to see them live ❤️ Days of the Phoenix reminds me so much of my punk and hardcore days as a teen as does 17 crimes.
Davey, you are probably the closest to a human hero that I have! i first started listening when Sing the Sorrow came out and have been a fan for years! i saw AFI in Tulsa OK in 2009 when i was stationed at Fort Sill. i was in a horrible car accident right before the show and i showed up in bandages from the accident because i love AFI. i enjoyed this video and will look for more like this.

Who is directing you Davey... ? It brings me great joy when you sing without abandon. You have been in my thoughts. There are many out there in lockdown dealing with an addiction, or perhaps caught up in one big ugly mess or another. Never for one second would I even consider you to be in that kind of trouble. For those who find themselves there, we must be strict but hold "great compassion"; we all have had a hard time understanding why such "true" evil has befallen us. There is merit to be found in faith though, especially when you can raise your voice to some outre source such as a Creator or a True Love... faith and trust in yourself grows as well. There will be no need for focus as the walls of science fall, we rise to greet an even greater mastery! And yes! You are correct with the great protein content of plants. With your "just egg" omelettes, consult your chef to put together a sundried tomato chimichurri sauce with either parsley or cilantro or both, garlic and shallot, champagne vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. Top your omelette off with a grating of your favorite hard cheese and sliced shitaké mushrooms sauteed golden brown. As for my sweet potatos: I peel and slice each sweet potato on a bias about an one to two inches thick, (you can reserve the end nubs to just roast up or use however you see fit) par-boil them in water with sea salt; strain and cool. I pan them in an angled fashion so they lay in rows like fallen dominos. In a bowl squeeze fresh orange juice, shred some ginger, toast whole peppercorns and grind, add cinnamon and cardamom to taste then whisk it all together. You may add some maple syrup in there if you like, honey, or any sweetener you choice if so desired... or not. This recipe is made to be altered to your distinct taste. Drizzle this glaze over your yammies and oven roast them around 350° uncovered until they are soft, caramelized, and aromatic. I like a bit of melted butter or a pinch of sea salt atop afterwards. Spicy candied pecans or walnuts are crazily good as well! A dollop of whipped cream... I could turn a sweet potato hill into a mountain! Read, Write, Meditate... Eat... not a horrible regimen at all... I was born in 1973. In the now of "today" I feel the strain of being entirely from another time because I read and collect books. My love of books is an especial one that of the shorter horror variety... and those of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. May I suggest a fairly well known writer, Ramsey Campbell... his short story collections of the 80s, 90s, and 00s. Those tales are singular in their brand of dread paranoid and psychological horror... usually without the gore and blood but more terrifying, all the same. Reading his tales helps develop cognizance to a deeper sense of word play and layered/multiple meanings. I am more recently a writer myself and have been working hard to develop my own particular style, peculiar to my living experience. Personally, I would find your unused lyrics from the era of "decemberunderground" an awesome study... that album resonated deeply with me. I feel there is message in there for me to hold close. Speaking of resonation; I am not sure anyone has ever made this comparison with your lovely vocalizations; you can carry (the timbre?) of your voice much like Donovan (Leitch I think). This has absolutely nothing to do but why did he stop wearing makeup?? I remember in an interview he said he loved it, thats he thought makeup enhanced people and that it was great
maybe he thinks he's too old. :( he also blacked out his tattoo sleeves. he cited that those tats didn't represent him anymore. the singer from disturbed took out his chin piercings. chester of linkin park took his earrings and lip piercing out around 40 years old. its sad when many leave this things behind because it seems to support the idea that those things really are only for kids following an alternative tread. it makes you wonder if they were just posers the whole time trying to make money on a certain demographic. welcome to growing up i guess.

Davey, might be a good idea to make video series about helping people do plant based food, tips and affordable ways to do that lifestyle. Plus tips and talks on meditation. Guided meditation. That all would really help everyone. U would love it and it would help fans and people. Think about it, it would be a true way to really give back. Cuz a lot of us want to do this, but we need encouragement and someone like u to relate to and hear from.
Generally this is a great idea but I could imagine Davey does not want this kind of "responsibilty" where people are waiting on him to say something they should follow. I think he is not that kind of person to give advice to a larger audience.
