Absolutely love the new album! Davey Havok is one of the most uniquely talented artists of our generation. Please come to Jersey when life resumes! And do not stop making music! Any plans for a follow up Dreamcar album? I have an Apple playlist That is 100 songs deep with a AFI, Blaqk Audio, and Dreamcar called AFI: Briqhtest Dqy... Blaqkest Niqht. Absolutely my favorite playlist!

I love this album so much! Good interview!
Really interesting point about AFI not really fitting into a genre. Goth alt rock is the closest thing, but they're not really like She Wants Revenge or other bands in the genre. I never know what to tell people when I tell people to check them out. I mean Girls Not Grey, The Leaving Song Part 2, A Deep Slow Panic, Back Into The Sun... i can barely think of any other songs by other bands that sound like those.
60 songs? Its crazy to think that I'll never hear most of the songs afi has written. And in all likelyhood I'll never get to hear what would be my favorite song lol
a Bodies Deluxe album doesnt sound too far fetch now. they have 60 songs to choose from

It would t make sense for them to keep doing the same thing over and over. It's been a natural progression! I've recently revisited shut your mouth and open your eyes and it's probably one of the best hardcore records ever! Not to mention a great cover of filths lesson for today!
Dude I saw AFI in Mesa Arizona right when the Very Proud of Ya came out, it was like an outdoor venue and I was shocked that not many people were actually paying attention to the band, which didn't bother me cause I was in love with the band
Then my friend Anthony and I saw Tiger Army at a local club and that was insane, I was trying to mouth the lyrics even though I didn't know them all but we moshed and had an insane time

I am recovering from some serious hardcore drama and just now see what is going on with what you are doing artistically. very fun. you never age and I bought your stuff way back in the early days but after a series of accidents and dealing with bad humans I am back and having a good time listemimg to lots of misic and getting back to my own music stuff and arts.I now get to be a big teen around a bunch of old hags 😅😅
