It's sucks that some collab skins and orignal classic Skins are all locked behind the battle pass exclusivity. However, that's one of the ways for fortnite to make money. It's a live service free to play game. It just the way it is.
Honestly you're not missing out on anything. They're just cosmetics that don't improve the game at all. There's no difference than the Default and Spiderman (in terms of gameplay).

For example: buying Naruto doesn't give you the ability to use any of his powers. Naruto & the Default skin are the exact same.

Skins DO NOT affect gameplay, everyone knows this... BUT limited timed skins and exclusive sets can give people a sense of urgency and pressure to buy those said skins before they're gone. That is literally what the entire point of the video was.
Because "I know comprehension isn't your strong suit" - let me explain that people also buy skins simply because they like the DESIGN. It's not necessarily because they think it'll grant them in-game abilities or whatever stupid point that you're telling me. You "smooth brain".

The issue here is less about unfairness and more about what invigorates the feeling so much. The issue isn't skins based on the season being behind a battle pass, but about COLLAB SKINS being locked behind it.
It's impossible to have every skin from every event and season available to you. Sometimes you just don't get what you want. But iconic skins shouldn't be apart of that equation.
if they stopped putting collab skins in the battlepass i would probably stop playing, they give you enough currency in the battlepass to get the next one so i say why not, leading me to play to finish the battlepass on a game i just don't enjoy anymore.

I like exclusivity tbh, gives you a reward for playing the game and a bunch of cosmetics with a huge discount. If people miss out they just need to get over it because they truly didn’t want to play that season or just didn’t play until now. One thing that would help is if you could unlock items from previous battle passes that you bought and didn’t finish. But letting a player that just started get black knight would just sound insane because they didn’t even play that theme of that season
Again, with that problem, people would have no reason to played in seasons because they can get it whenever, and at that point they might as well just remove battle passes because the skins are basically just item shop skins people like old battle pass skins because they can’t get them anymore, but look at red knight skin she used to be rare, but now that she’s come back, no one cares about her as soon as skins come back, they lose everything what people like about them

It annoys me so much when I look back and see that I missed getting my favourite skin in the game in C4 S4 and missed it by 1 season and will never have it again. I think the best way, but the way epic would never do, is to have all the battle passes in 1 tab where you pay 950 vbucks for each battle pass in your own time. And for OG players who like having the rare skins, make super styles for the one's that didn't have any, and make it so super styles aren't unlockable by the battle pass tab
I think the battle pass was better before chapter 5 because first of all you could get all the vbucks by reaching tier 100 and there wasn't any other battle passes just the 1
they also made it so you only get 1 skin for buying the pass instead of 2 and merged the free and paid pass, giving us less rewards

it's kind of unrelated but fortnite needs to add a lobby/menu customization option, such as season specific lobby backgrounds, fonts, and battle pass visuals.

It’s sucks that skins like darth Vader or iron man or wolverine and spider man are locked behind 2-4 year old passes that aren’t obtainable anymore, I’d like it if passes were re buyable so more recent players can get them

The battle pass system is so broken that one of the only ways to fix it is to remove FOMO and Exclusivity
But The there IS just no reason to keep playing The game If you can get everything at any Time. The game Will have a Record breaking amount of player for The first two weeks until people Quit because there IS no reason to play a game where you can get anything from The game at any Time. Fortnite chould die because of The player loss and there IS no reason to buy The battle pass and spend hundreds of hours to grind IT just for IT to Be rereleased a Day after The next season drops😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@specter.t-800I've started to play fortnite in past September, and i swear to God, it's getting harder to clear battle passes with each season, many people don't have enough time to spend it on grinding for the skin they want, so they would just prefer to buy it later. The free battle pass items should be put in the item shop
Sigh as someone who has literally lost my ps4 account that had fully completed battlepass skins (each battle pass got to level 300+) and as someone who played with that account and got battle passes from chapter 2 season 2 to chapter 2 season 8 (i stoped buying battle passes in chapter 3) but now i have a new account that i play on and i have the current battle pass chapter 5 season 2 fully completed i really don't see a problem with the battle pass i look at it in this way epic is going to keep doing the battle pass to make money or if you dislike it and it gets you pressed so much over a damn skin i think you should just stop playing that game and take a break and come back to the game in a good mood

Well it’s hardly different from a skin being exclusive out of real world events, like controversy with Travis scott, should I be able to buy the crowd surfer whenever just because it’s what I want? What about the people who got him before that, hard to imagine it’s any more enjoyable
Don't worry. 10-20 years later you'll have better things to concern yourself over than missed battle passes... hopefully.

Their FOMO is honestly crippling and Epic is taking more and more advantage of that season after season by making it harder to level up and making these mediocre "super" styles for skins that is basically worse in some ways like a rainbow or metallic version. Omega, Drift and Ragnarok did that right. Now it's just different colour versions of clothes that need you to grind the BP to 200 even with Epic nerfing the XP you get from quests and also now nerfing lego afk xp.
In other words stop giving power to the company. No one is forcing you to play the game. If enough people stop playing, maybe those donkeys at epic will stop their scummy practices.
Battle passes are cool. If can get multiple skins for something that costs less compared to the item shop
This is why I feel like fortnite needs to bring back old battle passes it doesn't mean no sense why they keep it exclusive because one you have a free side of the battle pass then you have to buy it what about the people that basically get the free stuff down the line the stuff for it it just doesn't make no sense cuz it doesn't come back so why have something free if the other stuff is not going to come back locking stuff behind a battle passes eventually going to bite them in the ass kind of like Darth Vader that sucks for people it likes Darth Vader and see I used to own season 2 clear to chapter 3 used to own Deadpool Spider-Man the OG one the only badass I missed out was chapter 2 season 4 but it just sucks them are characters I don't know you can get a free skin of them but reskins is not the same I know the thing how they say iron Man for example iron Man zero is not the same as iron Man from the battle pass that sucks iron Man zero sucks and then eventually we're going to get a Deadpool skin I don't know how that's going to work but I guarantee the original is going to be better wolverine if you're a big fan of wolverine you cannot get him they put the Logan version they have wolverine his classic style in the battle pass and then they made him a a crew pack skin you cannot get wolverine at all I just don't understand and I heard crew you cannot get wolverine at all I just don't understand and I heard crew pack skins can come back but they haven't done it yet I just feel like eventually fortnite needs to do this it's just kind of getting too petty man especially when all these battle passes in a game it's just getting out of control and they need to fix it and I'm not going to be mad if they bring back Darth Vader I have Darth Vader on my second account I won't be mad if he he gets put into the shop because one I spend 950 v-bucks so why people is going to spend like 2000 v-bucks maybe 1500 I just don't care I just want the old stuff I had back old account before I lost it and I hope one day they do this cuz it needs to change
Who else hate that they put 500 vbucks in the bonus reward forcing you to grind to level 140 to get all your vbucks instead of level 98?

I’m currently level 286. Didn’t buy tiers and am a full time college student plus has a job. Plus creative makes it so easy to get levels you could literally open up ninja tycoon and just leave it running for like 45 minutes while you study or do homework and go back to lobby and go into it again. Do that 3 times and guarantee you’ll get multiple levels a day just doing that.

Yeah, I absolutely hateFOMO so much, and i hate that it's in like everything now. It's very annoying and is a scummy predatory marketing tactic. 😮💨😔 Fortnite would need to stop putting the colllab stuff in battlepasses, but that's part of what makes them sell so well. 😅

I started off with no v bucks and skins. I played a couple seasons and saved the free v bucks received. I now own battle pass skins every season because one usually gets over 1000 V bucks from the pass

Everytime i buy the pass its because i enjoy playing to rank them up i nwver think "i gotta buy this pass because its exclusive" as much as i like fortnite i hate how hard epic weaponizes fomo and exclusivity. There was nothing stopping them from adding characters like darth vader, spiderman and Optimus Prime in the shop for everyone to buy at anytime they wish but instead they made them pass exclusives and once the season is gone its gone forever. They know if they add iconic key characters from popular franchises in their limited time battle passes they can squeeze as much sales for it as possible. It just pressures every player to feel the need to buy in. They need to stop putting important colab characters in passes and they should bring back old pass cosmetics either in the shop individually or let us buy into the pass and have to grind the levels. Idk make it to where for example they bring back the ch1s2 pass but if u want to buy it now its not 950 its say 1200 or even if it was 2000 each id still buy them all or make it to where u buy the pass for 950 but u dont make ur vbucks back. Give a small incentive to people that buy the pass within its season and not to where the cosmetics are just completely locked forever. Find a middle ground where both people that want to play as characters from their favorite ips but didn't happen to be play during the season it was in the pass and people that have played day 1 and bought every pass and will whine that there skins that they probability haven't used since ch1 come back. At the least colab skins should come back. Although personally i think they all should come back. Theres alot of fortnite original characters id wish i had and willing to buy them at any price.

@@SkyBlue-gb3qx Fortnite would never price anything that high most they would cost is probably 2800 vbucks for the whole set. Even if it was 4000 I would buy it if I wanted the character that badly.
I started in ch3s1 so i got sought after iconic characters like Spiderman, spidergwen, darth vader, Optimus Prime. Im not opposed to pass items like these to come to the shop infact i want them to. If they would ever come to the shop i wouldn't feel like i needed to be compesated, like how entitled can u be to feel that way. i basically bought them along with their entire set and the other skins included in the pass with them for 950 each thats a steal imo.
We’ll tbf the battle pass is marketed as an exclusive pass that gives you special items and skins that normal people won’t have, so bringing those same ones back will kinda scam the people who bought em. It’s like if you were marketed an expensive car and told it was exclusive, but then it’s put on market and everyone has it

Maybe they can use a similar system to the refund tickets but for battle passes, so u have 3 tickets to get a previous battle pass but each ticket u use costs the normal 950, and when u use the tickets u have to wait a til next year so for example if u spend all 3 tickets u have to wait til 2025, the second ticket 2026, then 2027 for third one. That way people still can work towards skins they want but there’s a limit, on top of all that u would only be able to work to tier 100 of the pass so no bonus rewards.
I guess for secret skins maybe make be like level up quests packs or something.
Edit: one ticket per battle pass u pick so straight away people can pick 3 different ones to own then after all three are used then u have to wait. Pretty much choose wisely between which passes u want first and what ones u are fine with waiting to get.
this is actually a really cool idea, I myself thought of allowing players to swap out current battle pass rewards with older ones, so for example, instead of getting hades at level 100 you`d get to choose between older lvl 100s
Look, I want some older battle passes too (I would kill to get Ice King), but if Epic literally CANNOT DO ANYTHING. Because if they bring back the older battle passes, they will literally be BREAKING THE LAW.

You have so much bad information so Im going to correct you below.
1. Last season and this season the "Battle Pass" only has had 1 or 2 collab skins in it and ALL of the other content was Fortnite made characters.
2. It seems that you are trying to lump the "Battle Pass" and the SEPARATE mini collab pass together.
3. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD the collab pass and the festival pass ARE NOT part of the "Battle Pass" and you have to buy them separately.
4. Each pass requires different things to be done to progress it.
5. Each pass says on its screen if the items in it will be able to return to the game in the future or which items in it are exclusive to it.
So in short Fortnite has offered 6 battle passes in the last 2 months? Thought so

Do you think it would go down well if they put battle pass skins in the shop, not at all. And your 3rd and 4th point prove my overall point about how the game is too grindy, and you have to do too much as a casual player - either that or spend your money.
The real criticism on "having no time" is the fact that since we're talking about how we "have little time to complete passes", that the criticism should be made about needing so many different passes for all these new modes, which immensely extends that time. About bloating the game and worsening that problem.

In the direction they are currently taking the game with Disney and other IPs they are going to have to bring these cosmetics back at some point
I understand the exclusivity problem, but i don't understand why so many people have problems with time. I'm in college, i work, i play 3 other games and still i'm able to complete every pass in the game. It's not that hard.
Battle passes are good. Good value for free game. Its optional. AND rarity is a GOOD thing. People LOVE live events. But hate battle pass? Weird logic.
Let's say Kermit got into Fortnite as a Battle Pass skin before you started playing. Let's also say Fortnite has no plans for new Muppets stuff and even if they did, they would not make a new Kermit as they want to keep him exclusive to the old pass that you missed out on. This is a small slice of why the old Battle Passes should have ways for new players to experience them and get their Kermit skins.
