- If you're on the Fortnite side of RUclips, chances are you've encountered livestreams on your Shorts feed with captions like “Name one Fortnite skin I don't own” or “Find a skin I don't have”. While they may appear harmless initially, you'll soon recognise it as a deceitful scam. The creators use a developer account stacked with every skin to deceive fans into interaction, offering V-bucks as incentives for identifying a missing skin or making donations. It's disheartening to constantly witness this and in this video, I address the issue.

I got told on X/Twitter that this videos you mention weren't breaking any rules same as the ones with fake fortnite fashion show. I even find mulitple of this stream like this using the same clips but different channels.

I reckon RUclips should ban re uploaded streams so you can’t do the same stream over and over again the idea is they have to constantly record new streams and will eventually get tired of it and quit
This sort of behavior does not surprise me in the slightest. Clickbaiters have done things similar to this, crazy Epic Games/RUclips/TikTok doesn't do anything about this.

@@WaySickoyou’re too young to understand, i’ve seen someone donate 75 US dollars and the streamer didn’t do anything. the kid said in the chat after that he said his parents would get mad at him if the streamer didn’t get given the vbucks and it would be a so called “vbuck hack.” he ended up begging for his vbucks and he didn’t get anything.

I recognize Fruit Boom before, he used to do roblox scams livestream and its mostly just a classic website scam and giving robux in group funds meaning they must have used a fake website before to make it real.
I didn't realise he was into fortnite now.
Oh wow, I had a feeling he was some sort of a RBX Trader before with the name and everything but I guess he wasn't. Met some decent creators on the RBX platform like Lonnie but there are a lot of the sour bunch which ruin it and not making any good with their followings.
One time a guy promised that if you donated 100 dollars he said he would give tons of gift cards. About 10 minutes later someone donated 500 dollars and didn’t know that it was scam.
Forgot to add that at the same time someone else donated 200.

@@Legolas_Lyr I remember seeing a 200.00 to Fruit-Boom's channel a few weeks ago. Heartbreaking. I just hope whoever that was was able to dispute the charge and get their money back. God bless them.

Another 2 channels named Wns and Vipa (the one in your video) are most likey ran buy the same person.
Another thing is that some of the people who run these scams do have "live" videos but still scam.

Dude thank you for making a video on this! I found these types of videos ages ago and tried to report and nothing was done despite several separate reports. Such disgusting people.

the stream chats have filters that ruin any chance of anyone else seeing your messages. They'll still pop up on your screen but I and the ScammerSlayers have tested extensively and none of them could see my messages either.

Thank you for bringing awareness surrounding these streams which pop up on shorts! There was one where they flat out played dumb and just showed ghoul trooper without going in for the pink style request. Its mind-blowing with the audience trickery going on.

Another thing that I have noticed is that there are a bunch of bots in the live chat which just spam the same thing every time. Honestly, friggin scumbags.
I've seen these like a million times before aswell, it's the same with Tiktok aswell which is really sad to see.. I hope RUclips and Tiktok can fix this somehow because this is just ridicilous. (you earned a sub from this video)

I saw this a month or two back, and I realised it was a loop. I kept on reporting the channel but like you said, nothing was happening. I also tried to tell people in the chat that it was fake, but my messages were pushed back by the waves of names of skins and the ‘me’s. Thanks for making this video so people can be aware and not spend money on that shite. Don’t know how it’s not demonitised yet

he was the first guy that i noticed what's going on there and i tryed my best to warn people but they just ignored me. i also spamed in multiple channels with ignoring if i would get banned or what ever. but sadly it did nothing, they ware still writing "me" and losing time from their life.

I recently started watching Fortnite lives and I been seeing that content! I got roped in once and commented some really early girlie skins that I like that I know no guy would have bought and he never picked my comment and you never heard anything in the chat abt the community or anything just skin names. Just FYI Spamming the chat with this is fake or pre recorded comments doesn't work as the creators block those words from appearing in their live comments. So its better to report them for being a scam.

I once saw a kid who gifted 50 dollars to one of these scum bags. It's honestly sad how these streamers are knowingly manipulating their young audience for some cash and just the thought of a kid being so excited to get his v bucks, asking their parents if they can donate to a streamer, only to realise they're getting nothing in return.
Speaking about telling the kids in the live stream that those are pre-recorded aren't actually going to do something. Not really because they're ignorant or dumb, but those scammers can filter out certain words so others won't see your chat.

As someone who does legit giveaway streams and games with viewers and then to look at the feed and see my same viewers getting scammed by streams like that, it sucks sooo bad. Thank you for calling out these loser streamers. Hopefully RUclips or Epic does something about it.

I’m surprised how PremFN and you made videos about these scamming livestreams. I remember I saw a child who has a RUclips channel named “glitchgaming12” donated $200 to one of those livestreams and was asking the streamer for some v-bucks gift cards. I don’t understand why people donate over a hundred dollars when they could use that money for actual v-bucks. This may be biased, but I feel like all the little kids who donated money to those scam livestreams already have a bad childhood.

Yeah, sadly this is all too familiar. It seems like this type of content comes in waves. First, there was the infamous “MY SCREEN IS SHAKING, LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE AND TYPE ONE IN THE CHAT FOR THE EVENT,” and it's just them going into playground mode and repeating it.
I wanted to make a video about this because a person was saying that they had the Korra outfit (at that time it wasn't available yet) but, what made me scrap that topic was on of the live stream, he was saying that his video was not pre-recorded and I took his word for it. Maybe I've been scammed myself lol. But overall, amazing video and great investigation! Keep it up!

I decided to stick around in one of those stupid streams for a while, and what I saw was just really sad. Some small kid started donating because the streamer said he would immediately look for the suggested skin then, but since this kid didn't know it was fake, he just kept on wasting his money on a fake stream.
Underrated RUclipsr, it's sad to see them have creator codes and you don't. RUclips needs to take action and epic needs to remove their code

the issue is that they have words like "scam" banned in their chat or comments. Spamming that it's a scam would be a great thing to do, but no one can see it
I saw one of Fruit Boom’s streams, and decided to watch for a bit. The sub counter going up was all I needed to confirm it being a real stream so I watched and guessed a few times. Although, later in the stream, he looked up one of the Guardians of the Galaxy skins (don’t remember which one.). They all have the same set name, so if you look up Guardians of the Galaxy they all shouldn’t appear. This was after the real money pack with Drax, Mantis, and GOTG 3 Groot. When he looked up the set name, the real money pack skins didn’t appear, so I knew he “didn’t have them” meaning I won. In the chat I kept saying “You don’t have Drax” or something like that, thinking he would of seen it. Too bad the stream wasn’t real, cuz I’d be a few thousand v-bucks richer if I was.
Also, kinda related but not really, I’m not a big fan of the vertical live streams on RUclips.
Same people also yell out “say aimbot you get banned”

Another one I see a lot of is basically the same thing but fashion shows, I actually saw it loop where they just probably talk for a really long time in the lobby then drop in the custom match, say that let's land there and let's land there every game to make the looping less suspicious and then a bit later they'll loop the video again, sometimes they even the usual bots write a comment asking if this is real and they'll answer yes on the loop, all these streams are really need to be dealt with, like I want to watch or participate in a fashion show stream but it's just this garbage, sometimes I even see lives going on for hundreds of hours or someone streaming like 7 different things the same time
finally, its either a dev account or one of those weird client side only addons(the idea of prerecords means they only show skins they have...)

I used to do these on TikTok a lot, but I didn’t scam anyone in a harmful way, I only told them to paste a code into the temu search bar. I don’t know how people feel good to scam little kids this way 😒.
I acctually ran into this guy a few days back. And his voice just sounded so ingenuine. The fakest shit ive ever listened to but yrah i thought it was live. Then i ran into him again just wondered if he was doing it again. But coincidently i heard the same things and skins he mentioned on my first round.

I've seen these pre recorded gta5 modded car meets live streams. On new gen you can buy cars off other players. These streamers charge real life money for a select few cars they own but you don't actually get anything because it's pre recorded
Btw they can also filter you from saying certain words like scammer prerecorded fake dev account and etc

Is there a way for RUclips to differentiate whether a stream is live or prerecorded? Maybe they can put a warning stating that the stream is prerecorded. However, this wouldn’t stop them from going live, just makes it harder for them to automate.
This type of stuff has been happening for years on this game. First it was fake live events then fake fashion shows now it’s this. The people that do this type of stuff shouldn’t have to a platform at all.
Thank you for addressing this. In April there was a streamer name JexyShorts that told viewers he would say the N word if someone subs and never did, he even did the vbucks scam aswell to.
I was streaming on Shorts and his live was above mine so every person came in to my stream spamming the N word, I reported his live but RUclips doesnt do anything about it 🤦♂️
