DIY Cleaning Ducted Air Conditioner Filter

Here’s how you can save money by avoiding paying big bills for a tradesperson and helping your air conditioner to run as energy efficient as possible. Nothing really to it. You can do as professional a job as the pros but at a fraction of the price plus having that warm fuzzy feeling of doing it on your own is priceless.
Just grab a water hose, a bottle of diluted detergent plus a ladder, well, optional if you can’t reach your air filter, and you should be good to go. Best to do this over one weekend or on a public holiday.

Thanks for leaving a comment. Yes, you can buy a new filter. Check out your local hardware for either a full-size replacement or you can DIY one with the filter felt, spline and a rolling spline pusher. Any reputable hardware should have those handy.
