Brilliant! That was very helpful. Would anyone know why ducted AC unit leaves puddles of water only when using it to heat the house? Or is it just a common thing because of humidity
If the extra cut out in the front cover panel bothers you too much, the replacement part number is E27942006 and probably $50-60. Part Description: COVER PANEL (FRONT)
I have a question. My brother has a similar Mitsubishi system (unsure what one) but in his control setting he can only get 2 or 4 bar fan speed showing on his control panel, i also don't think he can get auto also. How to you adjust that inside the control panel.
Do you know the model of the wall controller? Usually, you can go to initial settings, enter password 0000, go to operation settings and then click Auto mode. Selected Yes and it should work. With the fan speeds that’s normal. Depending on the indoor model it can be two speeds only.
Looks like i have the same system as yours, from your outside unit i also have the (MR SLIM R32) sticker on the side. I believe my brothers system is the next model up in size. We bother have identical wall controller inside our homes which look like yours in your video near the end. It looks like my brother having a larger system only has 2 fan speeds then. Many thanks for getting back to me
Awesome. So how many square meters is that good for? I was living in a new 32 square home and it had a 10kw system in it, and it was terrible. It could only cool 2 rooms at a time no more. A lot of homes have under sized units I reckon.
Really good advice mate, cheers. I'm in Frankston, Victoria and about to start servicing all my hydronic heat pumps so some good tips there. Where can you get the Viper Cleaner and bottle from? Cheers
Thanks mate, appreciate it. For my A/C the service manuals says: Code 32: indoor intake air temp Code 37: indoor liquid pipe temp Code 42: indoor cond/evap pipe temp Hope that helps mate 🤙
Hey Chris (pretty sure you're Chris, please forgive me if I'm wrong) Could I ask if you have any tips for keeping clean an outdoor coil in a salty coastal area? Just had installed a ME LN series and would like to look after it so it doesn't rot away like all the neighbours have.
Hey mate. Yeah, my name is Chris 😂 The salt air is a killer. Rinsing the coil with water to remove salt build up is a good idea (isolate the unit before hand). I’ve previously used Lanolin Spray on the outer casings and it seems to do a solid job preventing big corrosion. Spray it on and use a cloth to evenly spread it. Don’t spray it on the coil, just the outer casing though.
Mitsubishi said that due to regulation changes they weren’t allowed to use a sump heater anymore so, to protect the compressor they send a small voltage down two windings to heat the sump and prevent liquid. They call it a trickle charge. You see that heat displayed in the discharge thermistor. Either that or I left the discharge thermistor in the direct sun for an hour 😂

How about doing a video of the evaporator half? In particular, how you access the filters in the ceiling space.
My filter is located in a grille in the wall. I pull it to clean every few months. When I do eventually clean the evaporator I’ll make a video.

Thanks for that mate. It doesn’t bother me too much 😂 might replace it one day.
Brilliant mate, thanks!
Thanks mate :) I am about to purchase Viper cleaner and was wondering, what is the name of the black screw driver that you used for tightening?
No worries. I don’t know the name of the tool but I purchased it from Airefrig a few years ago. Very handy tool.
Excellent! Informative without overload of info. Appreciated.
Thanks mate.

Do you need to re gas this unit at any point?
No, you shouldn’t ever need to. If refrigerant is required that means there is a leak somewhere that needs to be rectified.
Good vid mate not enough Australian stuff out there about this shit.
Thanks mate.
great video mate. How many kw's is your system?
Thanks mate. It’s a 14kW system.
Awesome.

Thanks mate. I buy it from Kirby in Dandenong. Not too far from Frankston 👌
Hey mate, love the vids.
What would be the code to check the indoor coil thermistors through the controller? Would be handy to know.
Thanks mate, appreciate it.
For my A/C the service manuals says:
Code 32: indoor intake air temp
Code 37: indoor liquid pipe temp
Code 42: indoor cond/evap pipe temp
Hope that helps mate 🤙
Great vid, Viper cleaner is a bit pricey, can you recommend a cheaper product?
Thanks mate. I haven’t used anything else extensively so I couldn’t recommend anything with any confidence.
Thanks, what about the inside unit does this need servicing, that is the inside roof unit and is ducted throughout the house
I clean my return air filter every 3-6 months. I’ll look at my evaporator coil at some point but it should be pretty clean.
Congratulations! Happy for ya dude. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks mate. It’s been nice having time off to spend around home.

There is also a company called Blygold who specialise in anti-corrosion protection but they cost a fortune!
What’s triple charge through the compressor? 🤔
