    Are you running an exhaust on your bike?

      Just the Akrapovic slip on with the DB Killer removed. Love it.

    Thanks for the fantastic video on the werkes exhaust for the 401. This helped confirm my choice to get this exhaust.

    Looks pretty sweet. Did you notice any HP gains with the slip on only? I know there are better gains with the decat but curious about it just as a slip on.

      Not sure, it feels a bit more spirited but that could just be a mental thing with the extra fun new sounds and cooler look (esp after the fender eliminator).

    I know this is like a year ago already, but do you have any plans to play around different exhaust? Akrapovic M1 and LeoVince LV10 comes to mind. Kinda hard looking for exhaust content for our bikes.

      Hate to disappoint, but I sold the bike back in October and replaced it with a 2024 Triumph Street Triple RS. With that said, I was really happy with the Competition Werkes that I had no plans to test others.

    A great video! I'm also thinking of getting the Competition Werkes slip-on + dB killer. Do you think this combination will be good enough not to make my neighbors angry? It appears the CW exhaust is definitely louder than other exhausts available for Vitpilen 401 based on the videos I've been watching. I really like its appearance.

      Thank you! And thank you for watching. Honestly I think if its anything more than a slip on it will be too loud and your neighbors will not be pleased. As far as the slip on only option I think it's fine. I am running just the slip on, WITHOUT the DB killer and none of my neighbors seem to mind. A few even gave me a thumbs up as I rode by (granted im also respectful and dont go up and down the street reving it or anything like that). The quality of the competition werkes is top notch! The welds are immaculate and overall it just looks and sounds so good. Hopefully that helps, let me know if you have more questions.

      @@FifthNorth I got mine yesterday and installed the CW exhaust today. I rode about 100 miles today, and it was definitely louder than the stock exhaust, but I like it so far. I was actually more surprised by the increased vibration transferred through the foot pegs caused by the increased exhaust sound. As you said, the build quality of the CW exhaust is top notch!

    I bought this exact setup MINUS the " Cat Delete "... i am just curious if you tried it with just the Slip On, AND Baffle Delete.. if so was that STILL unbearably Loud ? And would the DB killer tone it down if So? Im not trying to have my neighbors kill me. So if it is too loud i may just not use the Baffle Delete

    • @FifthNorth
      @FifthNorth  2 года назад +1

      I did not, I ran it with the entire setup or just the slip on, I never ran it with slip on and baffle delete, I would assume that without the baffle that it would be quite loud, but not as loud as straight pipe. The DB killer helps but only a little, id say 5-10%, it's not a major difference, and to me it also changed the sound slightly which I didn't like. Yeah when I installed the straight pipe I had a neighbor come outside and say that it sounded like a helicopter was over head 🤣 so yeah too loud. Id say try it, and worst case scenario if you think its too loud then just put the baffle back. Let me know how you like it! Thanks for watching, I appreciate the support!

      @@dantediss1 did you do it? I’m thinking of that configuration too

    • @dantediss1
      @dantediss1 Год назад

      @@MyEDCReviews i ended up doing the header, and a Comp werkes exhaust.. with high flow filters. No db killer in the exhaust. And the volume is bearable. The baffle delete is not advised if you use a tune. It creates no Backpressure. And can lead to faults.

      @@dantediss1 From my understanding you had still have your Catalyzer on? I am looking at this exhaust for quite some times, still can't make up my mind between this, the leovince gp or lv-10, and the Arrow Pro-Race.

    I’m about to throw this set up on my 2021 Duke 390. I think the way to go is to keep the stock cat but do the slip on and chamber delete.

    • @FifthNorth
      @FifthNorth  2 года назад +1

      Thats the only configuration I didn’t try. I wonder how loud it would be.

    • @jaxchrisfla10
      @jaxchrisfla10 2 года назад

      I've been looking to do just the chamber delete and oem slip-on to start with and see how it turns out. Then potentially change the slip-on if I desire more. I love the quality of the CW pieces.

    If you do a cat delete do you need to get a new fuel map?

    • @FifthNorth
      @FifthNorth  9 месяцев назад

      My understanding is that you don't, when I ran it for a short while (I ended up going to just slip on as it was too loud for me with a full pipe) I had no issues with running the stock map. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

    I could tell after seconds of hearing it, that’s way too loud for the road. The DB killers don’t really do anything but change the tone. Slip on is definitely the way.

    • @FifthNorth
      @FifthNorth  Год назад +1

      Agreed, same thing, I turned it on and went yep…going back to slip on…and honestly the slip on with no db killer was perfect in my opinion.
