I just picked up a 2017 Passat R-Line about a month ago, any advice on first couple of mods to do and if coilovers or lowering springs are the way to go
congrats my man great pickup, if you have the money coils and wheels will make the most difference! if you wanna start up small you can black out the silver trim gives it a good look, spoiler, calipers paint small things like that make it your own
It's NOT a DSG transmission... If they offered DSG in that year Passat it was only on the GT model with 6 cylinder engine. That's an 09G 6 speed and it's not a very great transmission. It's fine if you change the fluid regularly and don't have any real power coming from the engine. You need to quit revving your engine up like a 6 year old and please for the love of Christ stop downshifting into 1st gear while your moving or you won't have any transmission at all. Also, don't put your car into dyno mode if it can't even spin the tires anyway bro... At least find wet blacktop or something so it looks like your car is fast.
That's the stock diverter valve making that noise. I would imagine too much boost for it. Only fix really is to get an aftermarket/performance diverter valve that's more suitable to hold more boost OR keep the stock one and just put a bigger spring.
Hey man I was wondering if ur still on the Solo Werks S1 Coilovers and if u are how is it treating u bc I’m tryna get them but at the same time I want something to last
yes, sir I am still on them and I absolutely love them " not paid " The lowering springs I didn't like there was wheel gap and super bouncy the coilovers are such a smooth ride just like stock.
@@tsharabi4 did you have to do any other suspension modifications other than the coilovers? I want to lower my Passat but I don’t want to damage any of the suspension components and I wanna run my stock 19 wheel and tire setup. Thanks!
I'm so embarassed for this kid. LOLLLLLLLLLL Imagine being on the other side of the parking lot sitting in your car and hearing this kid just rev his Passat engine for 5 minutes and then do some "pulls" around the parking lot and downshifting into first gear. WTF. I have this same car bro, it looks nice, sounds nice. You'll get gapped by any pickup truck, and half the SUV's though
Lets do simple math 2017 Passat 1.8t curb weight is 3,250 2017 silverado v6 single cab the curb weight is 4,500 2017 passat 1.8t stage 2 270hp 2017 silverado single cab v6 285hp
This is siiiiiickkkkk! Love the builds that are unusual. Looking into getting one soon big fam big car needed

Did you wrap the front grille or you bought somewhere? That’s cool!
What is the size of the wheels and tires? They look great
Where did you get the extended paddles at? I tried DSG, but they are garbage
I got the stick on from ECS and I can't get them to properly fit or to stick with the 3m tape.
Those things are so gay
Which trunk spoiler is that? From where? Is that the ones that bend or the more expensive ones?

Did you get rid of that annoying whine when you’re on boost

If it had a VR6 it would be better!

2017 passat 1.8t stage 2 270hp
