Dare I say Hawes is better than Sedona? It's definitely better than South Mountain IMO ... Just seems so flowy and well maintained. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love jumps, drops, berms and speed. That's my favorite thing about MTB, and Hawes seems to have it more than anywhere else in AZ!!
hawes for flow, somo for chunk. I prefer the flow. FYI brown's ranch is even better than hawes. But that's over an hour away from me and hawes is only 20 minutes, so hawes is my fave@@topspot4834
South Mountain gets all the RUclips fanfare as the must ride spot in Phoenix. I much prefer that East Valley flow at Hawes. RMR and Big Sister are my personal favorites. I enjoyed this video.
I ride these trails multiple times every week. But watching you guys ride these is like watching a new trail. The way you guys ride is so different than how I do. One day I’ll be as stylish and fast. Well done. Very entertaining to watch.
Alex's olympic long-jump at 2:17. Love seeing more of his wild turns on High Ridge. Between watching him and the incredible scenery, I'd be picking cactus out of my face before long.
I've been travelling all through Arizona this winter and Hawes has been one of my favorites so far (aside from Sedona). The climb trail up to the High Ridge is another great trail as well. Great video and looking forward to spending another month in Phoenix to sample the other trail networks.
Sunset, RMR, High Ridge, Mine, Big Sister are my favorites in that order. RMR and High Ridge have those sniper rocks that ramp up the pucker factor! Great vid dude, hope I can see you on the trails some time.
I’m down here in Florida at bomboyet and just followed an ebike for 2 hours (me on an non ebike XC mtb) and it felt just like you guys looked riding! Lol as usual you guys look super human!
I often visit Phoenix in the winter for mountain biking. In the past, I've just ridden South Mountain, but thanks to your earlier video (showing "Red Mountain Rush"), I tried out Hawes when I was in the area last month. I love it - it's a mellower and flowier alternative to the brutality of South Mountain!
@3:37 wtf WHO KEEPS CUTTING THE FENCE RIGHT THERE!! That's not the entrance to the trails!! the entrance is just a little bit to your west, it has one of those cattleguard hump things that you can roll over. not blaming you for using this as an entrance if someone else cut it open, but when HTA fixes it please don't encourage others to damage the fence again! That's the kinda crap that is going to hurt our cause and make it harder to continue building trails in the area Those fences are there for a reason and cutting them open is a total a-hole thing to do
didn't realize I had to participate in those to be upset at people vandalizing the structures installed by the forest service.... lol but I didn't say you did it... sorry if I went on too much of a rant about it on your video. @@natehills9388 I had to google dig days to figure out what that even meant but I probably will get involved at some point. I'm still pretty new, I guess I started right before people started cutting that fence and wearing in a new unauthorized connector trail to it. I first saw it cut open after I had been riding wild horse regularly for a while and I was like wtf. Anyways... I just started riding again after a pretty long hiatus, went down big sister for the first time ever this morning and it was pretty sweet but the ride up twisted was brutal for me. Really puts the fitness and skills displayed in this video into perspective lol.
Donate to the trails here- bit.ly/HawesTrails. Big cheers to the builders that are making Hawes legendary. Love your work.

SOMO is fun too, it's easier to pedal laps at Hawes. Depends what you are in the mood for I suppose.
Ssssshhhh no no, Hawes is terrible 😉😉

Alex is a legend!
could watch this all day. Such a flowy trail!
AP is super dialed…style is soooo sick🤘🤘🤘
Dialed as it gets.
Alex is just on point, still didn't see him sit down, haha. Those trails are so sweet, flowing like a stream. Beautiful sunset.
Standing up and givin' it the beans all the time. Making me suffer, lol
Totally gave that trail the “what for” HELL YES!!!

That was sick, then check out the double right after. Best trail in Arizona!
Nice ride, the weather was perfect. 👍 Thanks Nate !!!
2:20 nice double there ... This trail looks insane!
YANK!
Big Sister is no joke, sweet, spicy, flowy, punchy, but you guys nailed it...
Fun bit of trail for sure.
Nate, looking fit man. Closing on Alex's wheel on the flats and the sprints. Good bike days are the best days.
Alex always tears my legs off, haha.
Very fun!! Wish I was there....

Brown's Ranch is another must-see next time you visit
@4:20 when you drop, there's a new alt-line on the right that is either a small kicker over a rock garden, or a rock roll good time. your choice!
Nice Climb to get up there!.. Good job Gents!
Sunset, RMR, High Ridge, Mine, Big Sister are my favorites in that order. RMR and High Ridge have those sniper rocks that ramp up the pucker factor! Great vid dude, hope I can see you on the trails some time.
Man I love RMR. The best turn track up there!
Both trails looking like a blast. Great scenery and riding.
Great video and awesome riding. Those trails really look fun. Pedal safe
Crazy how this flow trails exists in that enviroment so rocky... amazing video!
Very different trail style than the usual rock jank in the desert. Nice contrast.
Yepp... the sherm is lit!
That is a fresh look’n intro bro, nicely done.
Love that trail, was just down there a month ago!
Ive ridden this trail a few times now and you guys make those drops looks so easy! They are not that easy for me lol
Alex is special.
Thank God its Friday !!!
High Ridge is my favorite trail at Hawes. Just doesn’t see the traffic the others do. Nice video and riding.
Classic for sure.
The locations you ride just look insane!!!
Fortunate to be able to travel and ride my bicycle.
Looks so fun. Going to ride it over Thanksgiving while I’m in town.
Enjoy!
Another Rowdy Episode There Brother Man - Dig Alex's Style For Sure - That's Not A Knock On Noah By Any Means
Be Well,
Cheers
My friends are rad. Fortunate to be surrounded by good people.
Rad trails! 🤘😁🤘
Hawes is so sweet! I am heading back there in March!!
Have fun!
2 of my favorites
High Ridge is a sleeper. Can't believe it doesn't get more traffic.
I’m down here in Florida at bomboyet and just followed an ebike for 2 hours (me on an non ebike XC mtb) and it felt just like you guys looked riding! Lol as usual you guys look super human!
alex´s claymore looks awesome and fast but i preffer the YETI SB plataform !
Finally getting some more light and warmth here🎉 Happy Friday Nate!
Happy Friday dog!
That High Ridge trail looked really sick. Kitty litter drifting.
This one isn't popular for some reason but I absolutely love it. Variety, spice of life,
What a pilot !
I’m pretty sure Petitdemange is French for “little kangaroo”
Wish we had trails like hawes in the west valley..
menudos bajadones!!!!!!💪💪💪💪💪💪
What air pressure are you running out there
So good! 😂
what gimbal are you using?
Awesome video ... pee usual.
But do you guys ever climb?
How do you think we get up there?! There isn’t much shuttling or chairlift in the valley 😉
@@alexptdmg I was just kidding ...

Both areas are amazing this time of year. It's is definitely rougher at SOMO in general in my experience.
🧨🔥💯

Yeah, we totally cut the fence to make this edit. lol. I hope you show up for dig days friend.
