Former Boeing here... have been in 747 from pile of parts to final cert. Always amazing to see how big it is with no interior panels, carpets, or seats. During construction, the elevated catwalks form perfect contours of fuselage. There is maybe 1 inch clearance. Workers can move about without fear of falling through the cracks. Never been inside an A380 yet, but hope to before they are all retired.

Thank you for showing the operation and people who keep the public flying safely. Having worked in aviation maintenance I enjoy it when people like you show all the hard work that goes into the job (though most of us don’t consider it work. We love it to much for it to be work.) Next time please show the looks on the workers faces when the airplane goes for its post maintenance test flight and talk to them as the airplane gets ready to take off. I know I have stayed at work after my shift to watch a few airplanes or helicopters go for the test flight. It’s the joy of working in aviation. Also my friends and family will tell you it’s one of the only times I truly smile.

I really enjoyed this video. As an A380 flyer (I love Business class and Economy both) I feel good knowing that my investment in air fair tickets go towards the maintaining and engineering behind this great aviation. I really love Emirates

One of the few airliners, whoo inssisted to keep this jewell of the air industry on the sky!Well done to them l,and a thank you.Time is proving them right, as the demand on air travel is booming again.Wasn't the best thing to loose it, just as we did with the Concorde!

The more important question is how Emirates is able to make the A380 work in their routes when so many operators have called a day? Yes, Emirates have all the expertise to maintain this giant aircraft. I believe it is the Emirates marketing prowes ,smart planning and extensive connecting viability are key to why they can pack every plane even during Covid period

Economies of scale also is one of the major factor Emirates is winning with the a380. Simply being the largest operator of the a380 puts them at an advantage over all the other airlines that owned only a fraction of the enormous a380 fleet they own.

I learned so much from this video. Emirates has invested so much in the A380 maintenance facilities and training I can't imagine them eliminating this plane from the fleet.

The advantage of the A 380 is the huge internal space - which enables luxury cabins and a big business class, without reducing the economy seats too much. Smaller Aircraft like the 777 could carry also 550 people, but they can't offer roomy 1st class cabins and offer 550 seats at the same time.

Sam, we always wondered how they maintained the aeroplanes and still be profitable. It’s the attention to details and meticulous care that do the job. Thank you for sharing this. It certainly will make flying feel safer the us.

Thanks for that Sam. I use to be a maintenance engineer for Qantas. Brought back a lot of memories. Some good and some bad. I’ve done the hours of removing and replacing screws of the floorboards on a 707 and 747. Very boring job.
