Portuguese seem to learn English quicker than Spanish folks and the accent is very different as well
I learned english in the 5th grade. Now the kids learn in the 3rd year.

I spent a year in Portugal, and i noticed that portuguais speak more than 2 language, they speak French Spanich Englich
I noticed this too, my guess is maybe bc Portugal is a first world country, and their quality of education is very different than the education a lot of the “Spanish” (mostly Latin American) folks are getting!
Spanish and Portuguese are very different in their pronunciation so I guess its easier for Portuguese to learn the sound of English. Spanish is a very direct and strict language. English and Portugese are not, both languages allow to suck in vowels, which makes them more similar.
My respect grew a lot more for Rube Diaz after seeing this. A very humble and determined guy, he looks calm but at the same time sharp. I love the way he takes care of himself how he doesn’t take the negatives as a way of living, and that he cooks his own meals. He said motivation is 1%. I
Think to be successful in life you need to be 99% disciplined and 1% lucky. Sometimes that 1% of luck is stronger in the way go approach things.

Me, as a Benfiquista, love to see all players that come from our youth system having such success and at the same time always such connection to their roots. In Man City alone Rúben Dias, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo and Ederson. And they all mention Benfica and how important it is for them in this videos. The feeling is mutual!

He is what a professional athlete should be. Dedicated, hardworking, humble, and focused on making himself the best player he can be. It is interesting how most of the Portuguese players are so reserved and low key (Dias, Silva, Cancelo, Felix) compared to Ronaldo. It's like he sucked out all the oxygen in Portugal. LOL.......I have great admiration for Ruben. He is an asset to any team he plays for.

Could be because of slight pronunciation similarities such as leaving out vowels. Dutch people also tend to speak better English than German people, although in Germany we also learn English from a young age.

By law every school need to teach English in 2nd grade, and is not the 1st grade because there this nonsense that before kids learn a foreign language they need at least can have basic read and wright abilities in their on language. But in lots of public schools they are teaching English in the first year. Odivelas schools are now given English in kindergarten. My niece already know the name of the colors, vegetables and some basic animals even before start her first grade.
