I've played against the Sylvaneth Spearhead, and their movement and free (+hit/+save) abilities coupled with having so much shooting and a hard hitting monster is really rough.
Slaughterpriest Resanguination and faction 5+ ward after fighting for Khorne seems better imo. Also don’t forget the bloodwarrior no respites after they die.
Good to show Sylvaneth looking strong despite some initial reactions to 4th. This will make some folk very happy :) Good production too, ty to the team and players and editors ect etc (-;
Spearhead uses essentially AoS 3 rules for Sylvaneth (and many factions) - it doesn't have a lot of bearing on the main game. It does seem that in the main game Sylvaneth aren't bad, but they do have a different playstyle and there are concerns they may be overreliant on specific warscrolls.
Just something I caught but at 12:30, shouldn't the Skullcrushers only roll one die for the unit (as opposed to each model getting a die)? Genuinely enjoyed watching these battle reports (stumbled into the channel). Love the format and engagement from both players
I believe it's only 1. Declare: If this unit charged this phase, pick an enemy unit within 1" of it to be the target, then roll a dice. Effect: On a 2+, inflict 1 mortal damage on the target. Wording specifically states "if this unit" and "roll a dice". Edit: Freeguild Cavalier's have the same ability, but the damage is D3...with 5 models. If it were per model they could potentially dish out 15 mortals per charge, which is obviously not intended.
Was the khorne player not giving himself blood tithe for units dying? Turn 3 he should of gained 3. One for the slaughter priest dying, one for the 2+, and one for the mighty skull crusher. The dice he was using never changed off a value of a 1
It's impressive the power of Khorne in this format, Khorne should have won this game, the Khorne player could easily have blocked the 3 remaining Sylvaneth units with the blood tithe at the end. I think he should have advanced all his units in the last turns and disengaged his bloodwariors and his rivers and then reengaged them with the tithe mechanic at the start of the next turn, the sylvaneth would therefore have been blocked during his turn.
Who won the second game? It’s members only for that and it’s also members only for the review of the spearhead tournament (which is even more annoying, does not make me want to get involved with this channel tbh) it would have been nice to at least have a brief overview without having to pay. The world is too expensive these days

Won a Spearhead tournament with Ossiarchs, but I faced Skaven, Stormcast, and Soulblight. Going first is a huge advantage.
