Thank you everyone for watching. This was our first recorded battle report, and was recorded soon after 4.0 release. There are a couple of minor mistakes that we make that are highlighted during the video. We will strive to not repeat in future Battle Reports. We welcome any and all Feedback.
Without having watched the whole video, just a suggestion on your comment about mistakes: if you know some from the top, going through what you've found in this pinned post is very nice for viewers so people don't comment on stuff you've already noticed. I like this already (a couple of minutes in), so looking forward to more! Peder B from Örebro (we've met).
@@pederbergenwall Hi Peder, thanks for the feedback. We highlight when we make mistakes in the video with a little text that shows up on the screen. They were relatively minor, mostly dice roll mistakes rather than rule mistakes.
One thing I like is how you are actually using correct terminology. Especially one pet peeve of mine is how others tend to use rampage for every combat ability(rampage is specific abilities...Not every combat phase ability) and how reaction is used for everything other uses when it's specific rule term. Magican intervention is NOT reaction :D BTW minor note and I'm sure 99.99% do this wrong like you but around 38:00 ogor asked "any reaction" when sylvaneth attacked in turn but it was ogor player turn and hence ogor is the player who should declare all out defence first before sylvaneth decides on all out attack or not. This is subtle change to 3rd ed in how order goes but active player always starts first. Including reaction declarations. People are just used to declaring all out attack first and then all out defence but now it can vary which is declared first.
@@bakuchidancer thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it. We try to use the correct terminology but sometimes we can swooped up with how it used to be.. good catch in the reaction there with AoD, will keep that in mind for the next recording. New battle report out soon, so keep your eyes open!
@@HopsDropsTV most of the time ordering doesn't really matter but here for example if sylvaneth would prefer no reactions but if ogor goes aod he would use aoa so he would have final choice. Just something that myself spotted not that long time ago. And i figure most players don't even think about this and just declare aoa 1st out of habit :) usually doesn't matter anyway as choice is clear
This was a great battle report. It was very long because of the explanations, but I think those explanations were invaluable to understanding what you were doing and why. As someone who is a big fan of Sylvaneth, but hasn't had a lot of game time in 4th, this was very helpful.
Great report, I really enjoyed it. It was a mix of damage questions and tactic questions, especially later in the game. A thought to share (if it wasnt considered), I think the stonehorn could have used power through on the warsong. It costs cp, but the ogers had 2, and it would have killed the revived warsong, and allowed the stonehorn an extra move. As its a new command many players forget about it, but its really good. Excited to see more games, thanks again
Thankyou for the positive thoughts. You are absolutely right. I think in the moment Karl and I didn't consider power through. Saying that though, with the bows dead, it did allow Karl to take slay the entourage the following turn. Certainly would have had big consequences if Karl had used power through. Its one of the harder things to remember in the new edition.
This is great for your first one! I also love the list review from each of you. Often, we watch these to understand key decisions such as list synergies, start of battle deployment on different battleplans and key early decisions that make or break the battle. Great to see and i think unique. Well done!
Will do love the way you present it. The game itself with a good competitive edge, the tactics and strategies you use by talking through them and your summary at the end. It is a great format and gives me food for thought in how I should play the game. Keep up the fantastic work you are both stars 👌👍
loved this. can tell a lot of work+prep has gone into this, for a first time report it was really slick. nailbiting game that came right down to the end!
Just found your channel and what should i say, awesome content just as good as i need it to be 😅 u made a Fan today. Hoping for more Greetings from germany

If they can charge the trees it should be able to attack on top of its 50% damage with will make people think but I got screwed on that last tournament!! No other terrain is like ours u need this to be great but let give everyone a benefit if you charge it!! Sylvaneth are here to stay so make it fair
@@richardluff7781 Glad you enjoyed it Richard! More to come soon. We have been very busy but going on from next year we will push out more. So if you enjoyed it, stay tuned for more!
