Excellent, thank you. This involves a real change in mindset - creating an impression of a unit rather than focusing on individual details. It is very effective, though. Really helpful.
This took me back to my childhood; sat cross legged on the floor in front of the telly mouth agape at the battle scene from Spartacus. I was blown away by your painted phalanx could you do a video showing you paint them?
Great looking mass painting mate - ratzfatz 1000 men painted in 10 minutes, that' s what I call effective use of wahes! Thank you for another interesting video! Cheers Fedja
Hey Aaron, first thanks for your great work. Astonishing minis, really helpful videos. I spent the last three nights lovingly painting my roman cohorts but it's now wasted since I can't cut them from their support as you do: they keep popping up and break apart from their formation. Very sad. Do you have any advice for me?
It's hard to say exactly but my first two guesses would be either you have to many supports on them or you over cured them which made them brittle. Not sure which resin you are using but sometimes particular resins are very brittle.
Thanks for the video. Would it be possible to do a video showing a whole army arrayed for battle. Also what game system are you going to use these with. I’m very surprised at how good the individual units look.
I doubt I will. There are many good videos out there on how to use tinkercad. at this scale or 6mm its just putting shaped together to make the figures. the more complicated part is getting proportion correct and then modifying them for print which is very much a "feel" that just comes with practice.
Looks great Aaron. Now we need to nudge you toward Republican Romans. Be interested to see how you tackle that. Mark is putting the Hastati, Princeps and Triarii on the same base, but he is working with a larger base [I think 120x60mm].
Great video! Thank you! Sorry if I missed it but I have a few questions: what material is the base; and what’s on top? It resembles sponge? What glue do you use? Thanks 😊
@@Aaronfromprojectwargaming Hi i'm interested in purchaing your minis , are you printing them in a specific colour or do you prime them before painting
@@Aaronfromprojectwargaming Thanx . i am going to get a company to print them off as i do not have a 3d printer and know nothing . Do they print in the irregulr formations as per your web site photos or do i have to give the printer specific instructions before they print them off ?
@@parabot2 if you live in the UK I have a guy I can send you to. I don't have anyone in the states yet. They print in smaller groups that you put together. I think I have a video showing them. Just be aware that I print these of using a flexible mix of resins. They can be a bit brittle if you use a standard resin.
They are not listed as Persians because paypal has wierd algorithms that pend orders with Persian in them these are a combo of bows and infantry with large shields and spears.
@@ashram7345 yes you can mix them together on the slicer. Actually I just doubled check and if you buy the infantry with large squareshields you get a mix unit buy you still need to put 3 or 4 of those together in you slicer to replicate what o have in this video.
Absolutely amazed every time!

Most impressive work, inspired technique!
Thanks Phil
Aaron, did you use a spray primer, or did you paint on your primer. What brand of primer do you use?
Spray, krylon camo paints
I see the corn field but where are the infantry? 😳

Thanks. I am using a homered rule set. I have plan on putting up a play through or an AAR before Easter.
Would you be able to post a tutorial on how to design 6mm and 2mm miniatures? Thanks very much

@@Aaronfromprojectwargaming thanks for the info. Wasn't sure which program you used, so I can start there. Hopefully I can do the RCW in 6mm now.

They are next up. But life is about to get very busy for me for a couple weeks.
Thanks for showing your process and technique! What flexibel resin are you using for these persians?
30% syrah tech tenacious to abs elegoo
@@Aaronfromprojectwargaming Thanks for answering so quickly. These masses of infantry have a special appeal.
@@beelzemetz1779 for me it's been a game changer. I bet you could go down to 20% but 30% works well on these little guys.
Nice tutorial!
Somewhat abstract but it works!

They are wooden bases. The greenish material is woodland scenics flock. I use wood glue or pva... white glue
@@Aaronfromprojectwargaming Hi i'm interested in purchaing your minis , are you printing them in a specific colour or do you prime them before painting
@@parabot2 I just print them in grey and prime them. For the 2mm stuff I prime in the predominant color to make painting easier.

Nice job! Did you design these yourself or are the STL file available?
