It's bad here in the US too. I work with a girl who calls herself a Christian, but rejects the Bible, rejects Jesus, practices divination (tarot cards, pendulums, etc) and pyromancy (controlling fire with the mind), and believes the best way to defend against evil spirits is various wards like in the show Supernatural. I've asked her what it is she thinks makes someone a Christian and she keeps avoiding the question.
The problem with many Christians today is they believe of what they're told about Jesus, instead of really trusting Him and to have a personal relationship with Him. If you don't connect yourself with God and digging into the Bible, then you're in trouble. Good video
The Lord rebukes the one He loves ❤ I was a New Ager before God called me back to Him. Once I became a Christian, I was shocked how much NA stuff snuck in. I try to use it as part of my testimony and ministry to others when the Holy Spirit leads me. I will pray for you!
I am a nurse and a born again Christian. I went into a patients room and she had a picture of Jesus on the wall. I commented that it was lovely. She had a photo of Jesus on her table also. We chatted about the Bible for a minute and then she said "Bhudda is the son of God, too." I legit knew that God sends these people across my path to show me how lost people can be and how precious my gift of discernment is. Praise Jesus! He is lord. The way, truth and light.

You don't have to sugar coat anything, but don't go full on hellfire and brimstone, witch hunting, crusader for Christ. Ask them about their beliefs, then take them through the Gospel in a loving, compassionate way. See Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, or Todd Friel for reference.

People these days love to say things like "nobody's perfect", but they forget that they're admitting that we're all bad.🙄

I am an ex new ager as well from about three years ago. I totally understand. I lost most of my old friends. Even if you become over passionate don’t beat yourself up. I always look back and the people that were sharing the gospel with me and I thought were brainwashed I look back now and know they were so right. seeds are planted even if it seems like they may not have. I so agree, I need help in my responses. I have a friend heavily into the Enneagram by Richard Rohr an starting to think an talk with New age thoughts. She is such an amazing woman of God truly seeking him, but so captivated with the Enneagram. She of course feels we need to be careful what we share an not to ever judge, days she does not care to study what New age is, etc., ....that we can all take pieces of things an learn. Also notice the the Bible was written to be as simple as possible (even a child will understand) but when you really connect the dots and test its doctrines to their logical conclusions, usually you are left with only two options, either to accept its TRUTH and praise God like a lunatic (at least I know I have!) or to totally reject it and embrace idiotic thoughts. Sometimes, those looking to seem and look more sophisticated or wiser or special usually fall for that trap. Because alas! "Your truth and my truth" That is probably the statement that makes me the most astounded because of how wrong it is. There is only the truth. The truth is not negotiable. It either is, or it isn't. Fact or Opinion. Truth is fact. Truth is what is and everything else is what is not.

Before I met Christ I had a similar point of view thinking that all religions had the same God so they were all truth, boy was I wrong!

Starting the conversation is the hardest part, then listening carefully to them as they say the name of Jesus, but actually aren’t describing our Lord and Saviour. That is probably the statement that makes me the most astounded because of how wrong it is.
There is only the truth. The truth is not negotiable. It either is, or it isn't. Fact or Opinion. Truth is fact. Truth is what is and everything else is what is not.
Keep these lessons coming. Just as each person who comes to life must be taught those already experienced in His word must be reminded and refined. Happy that you are doing great work as you have been called upon to do.
