Correction: Sidon Ithano is not kaleesh in canon stuff. Some guide mentioned mask of kaleesh warrior and it stuck that he must be kaleesh but all further details confirm he is a Delphidian
Thanks to all the metanerdz that pointed this out last I heard he was one
Holy sh*t i wasn't expecting you to look like that
Poor legends Grievous. He was basically the Separatist Darth Vader (had great sense of justice, peace and freedom, suffered from a fatal accident who disfigured him and lost the love of his life). Shame what Filoni did him in the Clone Wars.
Grievous was basically the Darth Vader of the prequels period
That's the kind of the point though, from Maul to Grievous: Each character is foreshadowing/mirroring Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
Grievous was the worst part of clone wars, but even then he was still a great character.
Arguably even Vader is worse. Grievous had no choice in the matter, he simply wanted justice for his people, but Vader chose his path, even before donning the suit.
Even though cannon says he choose to become a cyborg doku still sabotage his ship nearly killing him in order to become a cyborg and many legends and cannon mix pretty well without seeming saying one is true or not I still find grievous is a tragic character in both
"The Eyes of Revolution" (Grievous's origin story) is underrated as HELL
I'll make a note to read that story, if at all possible! Thank you for bringing it to my attention ( I didn't know that it existed ) General Grievous and the Kaleesh species deserve much more attention, as to all the other amazing species.. ( I would love if we could get a non-Jedi / non-Modern Star Wars movie?. Old Republic, Great Hyperspace War, Jedi/ Sith Wars.. or Pius Dea Crusades.
Give me daily lives, rare species, Coruscant Police ( Law and Order/ NCIS in space )
@@VarangianGuard13 if you are interested in learning more about Grievous, then Labyrinth Of Evil is a must as well, it’s the closest thing to a solo novel of him that we have gotten.
Grievous is a comrade of mine. Viva la revolucion 🚩✊
11:42 Wait, wait, WAIT... Thrawn himself couldn't understand The Kaleesh?! But this guy could outsmart The New Republic's most talented strategists? How is that POSSIBLE?!?
Sheelal before Grievous: START RUNING!
Crimson Corsair isn’t a Kaleesh, he’s a different species that looks human (forgetting the name) that looks like his face is stretched in ridges of black-grey leather and he’s bald. He found the Kaleesh helmet and donned it because he liked it
Sidon ithano is delphidian
It's fascinating to think they are just mandalorians, but more tragic and less genocidal
That is an insult to the Kaleesh my friend. They're much cooler.
I didn’t know the Kaleesh had a deeper history and back story. This is what I love about this channel and how your start to deep dive more into individual species in Star Wars really shows how deep the franchise is
"Its grievous getting him!"
*They grab his arms and legs*
*Honestly, if I don’t die respecting those legends who tackled General Grievous then I ain’t dying*
Lol
The Kaleesh is one of my most favorite species in Star Wars and very underrated.
I was hoping for Grievous. Why are you here?
Don't worry. I'm not disappointed. This is a welcomed surprise
lol.
I don't think I've ever seen your face before, so "bucket hat florida alligator farmer" was not the look i was expecting lol. Not a bad look, but unexpected.
Aside from the hat you couldn't really tell the difference between us, though I do own a hat like that. I was surprised to find out how alike we actually look, it makes sense my doppelganger is a fellow star wars nerd.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
"bucket hat Florida alligator farmer" is the best description thank you
I'd love to see a movie that showcases the republic failing the galaxy like they did with the kaleesh, like some of the clone wars episodes but more in depth
I didn't know this about Grevious' backstory. I have much more respect for his character now.
The kaleesh are my favorite Star Wars race. Personally I like how fans depict them with the leg design that Grievous has just seems proper and makes them more alien like as well as awesome.
One of my favorite species in star wars! As a warrior culture I’d be neat to see kaleesh and mandolorians interact more, i’m quite surprised they didn’t seem to get roped up in the neo crusades.
6:10 why isn't anyone talking about this amazing wookie dialect.
xddd
I fucking wheezed at 2:27 in the morning
His conjugation is a tad archaic
How would General Grievous react to one of his own race joining the Jedi?
If you see the statues of grevious in his lair from the clone wars, he is actually depicted as a 4-toed digitigrade
Didn't that sams episode also have statues of him with some parts organic and some part cybernetic? It's probably not accurate.
@hyperion3145 not sure, i don't remember that episode
Great video, I find the Kaleesh and their interactions with the wider galaxy very interesting. Didn't know about Ronderu's icy origins, as a reptilian sentient that grew up in arctic conditions she must have been tough.
I wonder what the Kalee would be up to in the Rebellion era in canon. After being abused by the Republic, the Separatists turning their hero into an always angry monster, the Empire oppressing them further, would they see the Rebellion as a chance to make their own future or just the next government waiting to screw them over.
I keep seeing conflicting sources on just what Kaleesh legs are like, regular or digitigrade, in and out of canon. I personally like the digitigrade look but I'd be happy with just confirmation of one or the other.
They're my favorite Star Wars race despite their obscurity. I'd love to see more of them.
Thrawn dealing with the Kaleesh: idk just yeet some turbos at them
Make a video of Gen'Dai.
Durge's species.
Hello there
@General Obi-Wan Kenobi
I’m guessing so you can figure out how to kill him without throwing him into a sun?
Good idea
@@Ray-ps4im Quite simple really. Shred the remains and keep them separate.
@@TerrorconLeader1993 hello there
The wookie part was fucking hilarious. Thank you
"They are not digigrades but plantigrades"
Artistic side of the fandom "did y'all hear sumfin"
I do agree with this
I feel like Grevious was way cooler when he wasn’t a cyborg coward
Ok first grievous and now the kaleesh species my second favorite species in star wars next to the sith species still hope for the video
I can't wait for part 2 of General Grievous' story, but a video on his species and everything about them, hell yeah!!
"Listen to me, I come from Kalee... the only good Huk is a dead Huk!"
To Think that i actually fell bad for grieves when i found out his full backstory just poor guy he lost everything
Xalek, my son! One of my top three favourite companions.
What is that from?
@@Beepthing Xalek? He's from the game 'Star Wars: The Old Republic'. The Sith Inquisitor storyline to be precise.
Hey, one thing, Sidon was actually a Delphidian who just wore a Kaleesh helmet
Can’t wait to see the conclusion to Grievous’s life story soon. I also can’t wait to see a complete breakdown of the Sith species of Korriban someday.
6:10 I appreciate you trying to speak in native wookie XD
Can’t wait for the April Fools episode this year if they do it
Definitely I hope you like it
@@MetaNerdzLore NEED IT
Q-Wing Mk.2?
Xalek vs Grievous who will win
The Kaleesh were Synapsids.
That little interjection of you starting Wookie speak caught me off guard and got a laugh for sure. That was quite funny man.
The Kaleesh would have been an excellent member for the Mandalorian.
The Kaleesh are awesome they got screwed unjustly
#KaleeshLivesMatter
Isn't Sidon a Delphinian (or however you spell it) that just wears a kaleesh helmet?
Yes he is, but I can’t really blame anyone for thinking he is full on Kaleesh. Honestly that’s what I would have preferred.
Grievous theme ringing in my head
Jedi have committed the heinous of crimes in the name of Good.
Bruh ive been watching this channel for about Two years now and I Love the content! Ive never seen the Face behind the voice until today and i must say With the way your voice sounds in the videos i was surprised to see you Dressed the way you are (Not meant to sound insulting sorry if it sounds so!).
I respect the research you do on ypur videos and the Informational videos on starships that you do helped me when i was going through rough time with a bad virus (Not Cvid-19).
Just wanted to speak my mind thanks for reading :)
I guess this is why many people hated insectoid species.....
Note:they deserve the hate In this case
Imagine a Star Wars game that’s like the Elder scrolls and you can play as most humanoid races. Exceptions to some. That wouldn’t make sense like the Esh Kha because they’re not active in the galactic community as a culture. But anyways the Khaleesh is definitely one of the first races I would play as. A force sensitive who practices both sides of the force. Or imagine a Mandalorian foundling Khaleesh?
Wait. Is the legends backstory for grievous canon now? I'd really like to know
this is what we know so far:
"Grievous formerly known as "Qymaen jai Sheelal", was a feared warlord and warrior from the planet Kalee. Grievous learned battle tactics and warfare during the Kalee's war against the Yam'rii of Huk, and eventually developed a personal vendetta against the Galactic Republic, as the government had supported the Yam'rii. At some point in his life, Grievous became a cyborg following gruesome shuttle crash that almost killed him and destroyed most of his original body."
It pretty much will play out the same way like Legends.
@@cwylfre pardon my French. But that's fucking amazing. I love that story to death, and it's one of the first pieces of star wars lore I ever read/listened to back when I was first getting into star wars (circa 2013ish)
Yes it is, it has been recanonized in bits and pieces over the years since 2016. I believe the latest sourcebook to reference it was TROS’s visual dictionary. We still have to see it unfold in a official story, but at the moment Age Of Republic was more ambiguous with his origins than TCW, giving room for it to fit in.
Could you do a nikto species breakdown next?
Idk about next but definitely one day
@@MetaNerdzLore could you do a sith pureblood species breakdown?
"Xalek....my name is Xalek...and an even greater storyline should have been written for me. I'm just that badass."
Imagine one these becoming a Mandalorian
Males you feel bad for grievous
Is no one going to talk about 6:10 😂 you need more credit for that joke
Oh wow I did not expect the owner of a Star Wars lore channel to be that good looking wtf 😂
2:35
"And created intelligent life" who made the unintelligent life then?
So with how many Jedi fell to the Darkside without even knowing it? The amount of atrocities they unknowingly supported at behest of the Old Republic and Republic are pretty dark and wide spread. I would say even without Palpatine pulling their strings, most of the Jedi were just self righteous pawns so wrapped up in their own thoughts they could easily be pointed in one or more directions.
7:57 defo a Jack Sparrow look, with pirate scarf and hair lol..
Weak eye vision??? Excuse me sir Grievous was a professional sniper before becoming a cyborg lol. Plus the Kaleesh are nocturnal in general.
He had vision implants when he became a cyborg
@@DLR1997he's talking before that
03 grievous best grievous
Can you please cover the Legends species that are basically Space Dragons in Star Wars? Not the Krayt Dragons. The Duinuogwuin.
Hello There!
GenErAl kEnoBi
Man grievous is the ultimate Chad
Dam, they were impossible for Thrawn to exploit!
2:50 The Celestials are The FORERUNNERS of The Galaxy? Really? I thought they were The Precursors of The Galaxy, and The Rakata were The Forerunners? You can see some serious Halo origin story connections, here, but I think you got The Celestial/Precursor, and Rakata/Forerunner connection messed up, here. Can we say that The Rakatan Plague that wiped out their Infinite Empire, and stripped them of their Force-sensitivity was the Star Wars equivalent of The Precursors getting revenge on their insurgent Forerunner creations as The Flood, and rendering them obsolete on the galactic stage, only for humanity to rise up as the next great species of the galaxy from then on?
Nice hair and love your videos
I would pay to see a Kaleesh Mandalorian character. That would be badass. Heck, the Kaleesh are up there in badassry alongside Mandalorians, Wookies, and Trandoshans.
Can you do a Video about the Dorbulla Capital Ship? The main battleship for the Hutts...would be cool to have you covering it :)
Get the Displates Mounted! :D
Great video I love your content!
First grievous now kaleesh what a week for video
The celestials and the rakat also explain how pretty much of its a mamalian near human, h7mans can breed with them. Like zullustans believe it or not
Second favorite specie ... First Falleen... Reptomammals are so cool
The Jedi being too connected to the Senate made them overlook the actual truths going on in the Galaxy, making Grevious their enemy before the Clone Wars even started
Makes me wanna see a character that's a descendant of Grievous.
General Grievous was just a pawn to the dark side, I take it that Ewoks may be next in future videos.
I know this vid was made two years ago but can Kaleesh ever take off their masks? I don't see the point of facial tattoos if they never take off their masks
Dang kaleesh are uuuhhhmmmm good commanders hehehehe
HELP
Holy shit, that is my Star Wars Map!
Kaleesh are my favorite species
13:42 That's what I thought too.
I thought kaleesh was a sub-species of the sith race
Wow dude I don't think I've ever actually seen your face before and what do you know, you look almost exactly like me. Not kidding you're almost my twin.
I wonder if there is a video about the Selonians. They're basically humanoid otters in Star Wars. For all furry haters within the Star Wars community, yes, even Star Wars has furries. Wookies and Ewoks can be considered as furries. I just want to learn more about the Selonians
It may be new canon, but it ain't MY canon!
Can you talk about Hex weapons because there is very little details about it and there is only info about it in Jedi Starfighter the old PS2 game
THat wookie Yelp killed me
Plz do an episode on genosians
Who to think there was so much to grevious species 😮
Also we see your face
Love your videos man! They are so informative! Thanks alot. Keep up the great work bro! Great Wookie impression dude.
What game is this??
Dumb question: do these sponsors actually do what they say or are they just scams like those money winning app games?
6:11 lolololool

Cool 😎 video
Captain ithano only has the mask of a kaleesh he is actually a delphidian acording to all the lore I read
It’s been years and I still don’t know what’s the background music
Love this but where are the ship videos like the executor super star destroyer breakdown video or maybe something about the republic
First
Swtor has the best Kaleesh.
Kaleesh are the best, as is Grievous!
I knew nothing about this species before this video lol. Great work!
Can someone please tell me the name of the song used as the background/outro music
