I thought it was easier in co op but I was Jean and I focused on saving my burst for when she puts a debt on everyone. Fail to clear that and she easily one shots you. Clear it and you can do massive damage with a charged attack.
I got an achievement called 'The Same Mistake' during one of my coop in the her domain. Im guessing you use some of the bow character and have them die to her?
I remember when I did the boss during the SQ and I ended up just having my controlled character get one shot as soon as the Transition cutscene ended... Her just charging at you as soon as you gain control completely took me off guard, lol. Lesson learned, dodge as soon as the phase transitions.
Me: sees the phase two starting attack from the Knave that happens as soon as you get controls back from transition sequence after phase one. Also me: immediately gets Elden Ring Malenia Phase Two Starting attack PTSD flashbacks, from the Knave.
Phase 2 has only 1M HP (while Phase 1 has like 1,7M) at Lv.90, but she gains more ATK (from Phase 1 19k ATK to Phase 2 26k ATK), and some of her attacks deal 100% of her ATK as Pyro DMG. The balls that explode in that special attack (probably her Ult, equivalent to Shogun's 1-shot attack) is her strongest multiplier, 200% of her ATK as Pyro DMG. So it deals 52k DMG in single player, and even more in co-op (the more players, the more stats enemies have)
in my opinion killing this weekly boss in single mode is much more easier than in coop. one time i did it in coop, we failed so many times until we finally did it with a team of layla, baizhu, furina, and neuv (but neuv died very early)
when she turn into a second phase... she'll attack random player (except if you're playing alone then she will just attack you with a delay)... and why on co-op her attack will always successfuly hit someone and even one hit bcs there's a transition (or loading) between first and second phase... and she'll attack right when there's a first player who finish the loading... and then she initiate the attack... that's my opinion though
i have a theory. You know how fontaine characters drain their health to produce big damage? its because our body NEEDS Water so the longer you drain the stronger you gain
She can bypass zhong shield if she attacks you with the bond of life on you, causing the dot bleeding dmg like wolves but also ignores the shield all together, which can result in high dmg taken or a full one shot But if you clear the bond of life before you get hit, you are safe before she inflicts you with it again
1:05 As always, everyone hates Healers for the worst reasons. What is the point for speedrunning when there's no true rewards for that? While everyone can't dodging so well until everyone died just because hating healers for wasting everyone's time.
There's no confirmation. But given the location and the fact she's using her powers, some people thing they might be the shadows of other children she killed during the duels Crucabena enforced. Kinda like Clervie but not strong enough to manifest elsewhere nor without Arle being near.
Just in battle with BOL active. Out of combat she can be healed. Food works as well in combat but as that clears her BOL it will clear her infusion as well so you want to rely on her burst for healing in combat.
STAY AWAY i mean bring someone who heals constantly/over time like Xianyun, Furina, Chevreuse, etc... Someone who can heal whenever you need to get rid of the Bond of Life she inflicts. If you have BoL she'll deal more DMG, and she deals lots of DMG already so some attacks might 1-shot you even with high HP, especially in co-op. Also she has 70% Pyro RES and 10% RES to other Elements, so Pyro DPS won't be nearly as effective, while any other Element is fine. Preferrably melee because she can dodge/block/counter the most normal ranged attacks like Bow Normal ATKs.
I don't understand how this mechanic with charged attacks works. Because sometimes it works, sometimes it's not. I don't get it. Also i had like 30 tries in coop yesterday, just to figure out the pattern and trying different characters, but in more than a half of that runs i was forced to pick up the healer, because my teammates were bold enough to go without one. In the end i got tired of it and also went dps (Ganyu, so i would stay out of reach of boss' attacks) and watch all those stupid people to die. Selfish little bit*hes.... yeah, i'm evil! And i also want to play characters i want to play, so yeah... i'm not regretting my chioce here.
The charged attack mechanic: The knave will mark you with a bond of life, the red X. If you clear it with fast enough with healing your next charged attack will do big damage. If you fail to clear it the next time she hits you she will do major damage. As such it is almost imperative at least one player is a healer or your team is made up of characters that can heal themselves. I always take Jean because as long as I only focus on clearing the BOL the rest of the team can do their job even if they don't bother learning mechanics.

I thought you need to attack her with ca, in order to cleanse the mark. I guess translation on my language wasn't correctly, because it simply stated that i needed to use ca to prevent bond of life attacks or smth along those lines. It's the first time i see "heal before" line tbh. That's was confusing. (yeah, i'm not English-speaking person). Thank you for clarification.

So I have learned the key to this fight is learn to dodge learn her mechanics and you'll have an ok time. Ignore her mechanics and she one shots you.
Or Use c6 r5 Neuvillette und get her ass in 15 seconds lol

Maybe the story makes the fight significantly easier, but i did not get one shotted and did it first try. Then again, i had Morax in my team lmao

It’s Sacrifical sword but the claymore version (I forgot the name lol) It has a chance to reset your skill cooldown instantly. Edit: iirc, that is.

I used zhongli and nuvi....so I didn't realize that she's that dangerous.. all I saw was a constantly moving brat...
