On the newer drivers you can atleast import older profiles. You need to go to perfomance and select custom. Then import your desired profile and then switch the tab from perfomance to gaming or something. Switch back to perfomance and the settings are loaded and working. You cant adjust them unfortunatly as clicking apply will result in bluescreen. But im using that workaround to apply my uv since the newer drivers have the problems with the bluescreen.

Should i reinstall the AMD Adrenaline the driver? or its not because the AMD Adrenaline?
For me I'm currently on 23.11.1 strictly because of MWIII, I've tried 23.12.1 which caused both of my screens to go black twice so I reverted back and been fine since then. Before 23.11.1 driver I was settled on 23.4.3 since I found that the most consistent 2023 Driver I had tested at the time. The one thing I was really happy about which I don't think anyone ever mentions or maybe just wasn't aware about was that since the introduction of 23.1.1 this driver fixed graphical errors on RPCS3 when using AA on an RDNA2 Cards.
RX6600XT. Latest driver with AFMF was very buggy for me, so i went to 23.12.1, no issues so far in the last couple days. But i've used 23.11.1 for month+ and had no issues, can recommend it for sure
Same here with RX 6500 XT, and since the card did not have enough of everything to get 60+ most of the time, frame generation isn't usable anyway. Unofficial/Preview drivers version always bring some nasty bugs from desktop, to RUclips and of course games. It's a cool way to test features but would not use for daily usage.

I have tested all drivers from 23.9.1 all the way to 23.12.1 and I encounter the problem in all of them unless I create the custom regedit "TdrDelay".

I just saw this video bro. I went from 23.9.1 to 23.11.1 and for some reason the majority of my games dropped down on FPS went way down to 60FPS. I uninstalled drivers using DDU. Installed 23.11.1 and then chipset drivers. Made sure AMD Adrenaline Software settings were adjusted before starting my games, including overclocking. Still having same issue. Am I doing something wrong? I’m still getting around 60fps or lower on my multiplayer and open world games. This happened to me in the past when I went from 23.9.1 to 23.10.2. So since then I’ve been on 23.9.1 and never had any issues on my RX 7800 XT.

Fabio Question here. My GPU is the AMD 5700 and it´s supposed to be compatible with Advanced Hardware Acceleration, yet the option is disabled in my Windows 10 system. Is not present in the Control panel nor the Windows registry. Am´I tripping?
Nonono, there was ONE driver version for that card (20.5.1 beta I believe), after that the only official Support for HAGS was now in december with the 23.12.1 drivers and only for the 7000 series
Fabio, the 23.11 drivers were partially broken, so that my video card (7900xt) was not seen by my W10 system - nor in HWinfo/AIDA, nor in some games (RDR2). It was like I have no video card. But in 23.12 it was cleared and everything is fine - the card can be seen by the system. In 23.9 was fine too. (MSI B450 carbon, MSI 7900xt, W10, Ryzen 5 5600x). So 23.11 is a broken driver.
Any tips about how to handle "Driver has failed to load on your system" when playing games? this issue keeps haunting me since 2020. I am using Ryzen 5 3400g with Vega 11 (no discrete GPU), Asrock A320M-HDV R4.0 (Bios version at P7.00, somehow I can't update to L8.01 as it keeps telling Invalid Files)
The 7800XT is amazing! I like the fact that AMD priced the cards appropriately to the quality. In dry terms, it wins over the more expensive RTX 4070, but the green product still wins due to DLLS 3.0
Hey Fabio, thanks for the informative video. Surely it has been asked before but what kind of software are you using to display the components' sensors?

On the latest stable driver I noticed a bit increased stutters during loading when quickly moving around map in PUBG(i've done repeated tests through replay and the stutters are reproducible). Out of curiosity I tried disabling SAM and the stutters are basically gone. While SAM tends to improve performance i think i'll just keep it disabled. Also with SAM off even the desktop seems more fluid although this could be a placebo
If you have a lower end CPU Sam seems to create stutters. Turning off can help but the biggest thing that completely stopped stutters for me was the gamebarpresencewriter fix

Does the auto-Undervolt stay or this bug is limited to manually tweaked values?
Guys i have problem with screen flickering it like randomly happen sometime almost everyday i forgot when it actually happen.. im using RX 6600 XT with AMD Adrenaline 23.11.1. But idk its like the problem and solution is caused by the windows update, sometimes after updating the windows update it fixed but sometimes not and the update is always appearing when the screen flickering, the update is like very often appearing and the update name is "Security Inteligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - .........". Should i reinstall the AMD Adrenaline the driver? or its not because the AMD Adrenaline?
This was exactly the vid I needed, exactly the time I needed it. Thank you for what you do!! LEGEND FABIO DOES THE GREATEST WORK!
thanks bro 5700xt user here. Nice to know i didnt need to update
Hi fabio im not seeing the hags option in graphics settings. Should i reinstall 23.12.1 drivers or does my gpu the rx 7600 not support it in general?
Hands down the best information out there on AMD graphics cards and drivers.

How do you downgrade drivers from 23.12.1 to 23.11.?
@@VirginaGarcillano i usually uninstall using DDU and do a fresh install. You will need to boot into safe mode and unplug internet. You can find a guide on youtube
Should I stick with the modded driver or with those one you showcased in the video. Thanks! You are the best consitent amd RUclipsr

@AncientGameplays - 4:15 the modded driver that you mentioned for RX Vega that supports Smart Access Memory..Does that driver also supports Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling ? Is it possible to get Both of these features ( SAM and HAGS ) working at the same time ?
Technically yes, but wont work well mostly
@@AncientGameplays How could I achieve this ? Isn't HAGS a requirement for SAM to work ?

Just subbed to your channel. Question for you i updated driver 5700 6600xt to adrenaline from pro...does the old pro driver uninstall automatic or do i have to do it? Will utility clean erase my current version or just the old ones?
For my RX 7800 XT 23.12.1 are the best drivers, very stable. With 23.11.1 i had green screen crash and reboot a lot with UWQHD 165hz monitor ( the same bug for dual monitor setup)
Same here, especially stable undervolting.
The fmr drivers have been great on my 6600. I really only use fmr in overwatch, every other game ive tried had worse frame times, but in overwatch it gives me better frame times and raises GPU utilization from 40-60 to 80-90%
i have a problem with resents amd adrenaline software version 23.11.1 and its latest versions. when i active amd overlay to see the gpu, cpu temp, ram etc... i get flick on screen and the frequency go to 2600mhz to 700mhz every 10 seconds, but if I deactivate the overlay I don't have the flick idk if is the display port cable or can be the software.

Can you tell at which driver did they add the Hardware GPU Scheduling?
I have an RX 6700 XT and yes, I know that the scheduling feature is only available for 7000 series, but for some reason I always encounter black screen freezes randomly when just using browser tasks. I did the "TdrDelay" custom regedit that I found on reddit (it has something to do with GPU scheduling) and so far I'm not getting the black screen freeze anymore. I have tested all drivers from 23.9.1 all the way to 23.12.1 and I encounter the problem in all of them unless I create the custom regedit "TdrDelay".
I had those on 23.9.3
Changing tdr was workaround, with new ones 23.12.1 i reverted that change and since 2 weeks everything is fine again
After updating to 23.12.1, I started having stutters with my 6700 XT. I was thinking about going back to 23.11.1, then I saw the video. :) Cheers!
I thought the shadows on GTA V looked messed up since 23.12.1, thanks for making this video Fabio! Since then I have downgraded to 23.11.1 and it's been perfect! :)
💪💪💪
You mean the specular/lighting effect on car body messes i.e cars look matte?
Maybe aomwthinf went wrong. Just use the older ones if they're better for you
@@AncientGameplayshey bro so I went back to my old drivers but for some reason AMD software is not showing up when clicking on it. It’s not responding at all. I used DDU as always and for some reason now that I returned to my old drivers AMD Software doesn’t respond. I even went back to the new drivers and used DDU as well and it still doesn’t let me access AMD Software once installed on my PC. I’ve never had this issue till this morning.
@@Juniorgalle21 you nees to prevent windows from installing on the ddu option. Your windows install is maybe broken I see
@@AncientGameplays I’ll try that out on DDU option.

Hey bro what is the best way to play games like CS GO and Dota 2 with 7800 xt. What settings are worth it for those kind of games that don't use the full power of the GPU, feel sometimes fps drops kinda low and stutters sometimes in Dota 2. using 23.12.1 drivers atm. I just feel like there are some settings in the adrenaline software that can change things.
PS: New triple A games seem to work fine.
No mention to RX Vega (56 or 64) ==> 23.8.2 is the way to go, as the next drivers versions seems to be buggy when you try to tweak the voltage/clock settings
for those old polaris/vega i'd try nimez instead
@ Where to DL to download and which version?
New amd user here.
7900xtx/7800x3d 23.12.1 does the job!
Are you still on this driver for the 7900xtx? Every uograde Ive done I have stutter in some games

Is it fine to NOT install Adrenalin? I've heard from our discord channel that there are certain issues that may arise when using Adrenalin like random crashes, random freezes and inconsistencies with their performance. I have 7800 XT.

Thank you for everything fabio.
Thank you as well
Fabio, the 23.11 drivers were partially broken, so that my video card (7900xt) was not seen by my W10 system - nor in HWinfo/AIDA, nor in some games (RDR2). It was like I have no video card. But in 23.12 it was cleared and everything is fine - the card can be seen by the system. In 23.9 was fine too. (MSI B450 carbon, MSI 7900xt, W10, Ryzen 5 5600x).
So 23.11 is a broken driver.
Hum, for you it seems you might need a new windows install
The December driver had me black-screening on some older games Like Sniper Elite V2. Had to roll back to November's driver. I have a 6650xt.
Cool ! Thanks 👍
The 7800XT is amazing! I like the fact that AMD priced the cards appropriately to the quality. In dry terms, it wins over the more expensive RTX 4070, but the green product still wins due to DLLS 3.0
now fsr3 is getting traction, lets see how it goes
Depends on the game. 4070 beats the 7800XT by about 18% at 1440p ultra settings in Avatar.

Yeah, I'm also experiencing stutters and low fps in big cities on the newest driver in Pubg.
I had the exact same issue, but as soon as SAM was off everything was okay.
i updated to that recent driver and had those stutters on pubg and Ready or not
If you have a lower end CPU Sam seems to create stutters. Turning off can help but the biggest thing that completely stopped stutters for me was the gamebarpresencewriter fix

On RX7900xt with 23.12.1 high idle power draw is back(7W on 23.11.1 and 84W on 23.12.1) so I revert to 23.11.1
It's stable with UV, no more driver timeouts, it just works, and personally for me all apps like Chrome, works fine.
Just can't understand why AMD broke drivers again and High Idle Power Draw is back. They fixed it for me in 23.9.1 and now it's back....
Thanks man for the comment. I have 7900 XT as well and I'm on 23.12.1 now. It is bit weird that Adrenalin in the Tuning tab is showing 8W GPU total idle power whilst in the Metrics tab at the same time it is showing 35W GPU total ide power. Which one should I trust?
@@longer_xd5668 Hi, it's a known issue(I've read about it on /r and plenty of peoples had this issue too) and that's why I go back to 23.11.1. In my case Adrenalin show me 84W at idle in tuning tabs and in metrics one too. I haven't this issue since 23.9.1 up to 23.11.1, even on 23.8.2 I have 50W at idle, so this time AMD broke something again and make it worse than before. If you want to check which one usage is correct, try another software like MSI Afterburner(not recommended, a lot of crashes and issue's when paired with Adrenalin) or HW Info. For me, the best driver for my RX470 is 22.6.1, this is the last version that can run Genshin Impact without showing insane laggs in Fontaine and Sumero. All newer versions had this problem. As of 23.9.2, everyone has a bug with my TV's color temperature. My processor is Xeon E3 1271 V3 = I7 4790 + 16GB Ram DDR3 1600 and the game is running on 2X SSD 500GB Goldenfir Sata in Raid 0. Windows 10 is on a 120GB SSD from Kingston. I couldn't figure out what was causing these insane lags, I just know that it's a driver bug and that it was never fixed. I speculated that it could be the MPO Overlay, but I tried disabling it but it seemed to have no effect. All drivers were installed in their minimum version. If anyone knows how to fix this in newer drivers, be sure to post the solution, it will help a lot of people.
