I watched it fully, from what I gathered it is advised to not enable most of the stuff, but rather use the game profiles to do the settings when experiencing problems in a game.
Radeon chill seems like a good option for people using small form factor pc or laptops. Im guessing it might help with extending battery life on a gaming laptop.

Another great video and a much needed update to a topic. Thank you so much! So for my personal experience, I play mostly WoW (World of Warcraft). I learned that Radeon anti lag is so important. Hey!!! I've been checking a lot of your videos recently, since I just got a RX 6600. Thanks a lot and congratulations on the content!! I was just confused at one part of this one. Around 16:00 you mention that the MIN/MAX FPS cap should be those 3 fps lower than monitor refresh rate, but then, around 22:00 you throw a 144/75 setting at Radeon Chill for an example. Which one is correct? (the combo Radeon Chill + Enhanced Sync is exactly my case/monitor). Thanks again!
Thank you for your very helpfull video! You helped me a lot at all the AMD things. I didn't know that i can use the Radeon Chill as a FPS CAP and that min and max value can equal. I always set the FPS Cap in the Golbal Graphics Settings. I also took a look at your Overclocking/Undervolting Videos and now use less power for more power :D PBO and Curve Optimizer for my 5800X and Undervolted + Overclocked my 6700 XT. At Stock Settings i got 31154 points and now with UV i have 31996. Without UV 32297. WOW. Yes, its only a Benchmark but in Games i am saving 20-30W and get cooler temperatures. Anyway great vid you clarified an issue that was most vexing to me to d) with the recordings not playing as I didnt have AVI (I knew nothing of these different formats). Anyway FINALLY ! I can record as I switch to the HEVC option
Thank you for making a video to go through all of that, I get overwhelmed when so many options and customization is given to things. I'm a fan of presets so I can just go play and not have to spend so much time researching, this will help me tweak the Game mode preset if something is turned on that I don't like. Cheers
18:49 You shouldn't say it isn't great, as that very much is an awesome feature and as it's not forced on anyone, I think it's great AMD gives that. Just see the FPS boost when moving fast, that really benefits people with lesser hardware. I might even use it, despite having a beast of a PC, for some games that are very demanding & just put it up to the 83.3%, I think that looks alright.. yes, you can see it, but.. in games like Apex, Fortnite etc. the FPS boost is worth more & you're not going to be able to see much clearly anyway when moving your mouse around fast.
@@AncientGameplays You kinda didn't really read or simply ignored what I wrote. It's not that bad & as said, it helps PCs that isn't as new or strong, get playable FPS in competitive games. And in such games, FPS matters more than looks.

I only make 4 changes after installing AMD Software. 1. Disable AMD FreeSync Premium 2. Change Color Depth to 8 bpc (although I have an 8 bit monitor, AMD loves to set it to 10 bpc for some reason) 3. Change Texture Filtering Quality to Performance 4. Change Tessellation to "Use application settings"
1. You're disabling smoothness...lol 2. You have 8bit+frt which is better than just 8bit, your loosing "quality" 3. You're losing quality once again 4. This is actually a good thing for some cards (not all). Man, those are some bad decisions there, especially the Freesync one
@@AncientGameplays 1. I don't like the way the crosshair reacts to my mouse movements when FreeSync is enabled. I only play esports games 2. It's 6 bit+FRC. Gigabyte G24F 3. It only affects DX9 games. I play an old game called APB Reloaded which performs better with this set to performance

Hi. I recently installed the newest drivers, and the only tabs available are home, gaming, and performance. On top of this, many UI features you mentioned aren't there for me. Did i do something wrong?
i have an rx6600 too and i have an old 60hz monitor i always turn on sync in games because i don't have a monitor that shows me above 60 frames! And I don't want to pay too much electricity bill, if I don't activate it, tearing occurs in the image. When vsync is turned on, there is no problem, but this time there is an input lag, especially with fast mouse movement, the image does not fit. To compensate for this, I activate Radeon Anti lag, the result is beyond excellent, it's really amazing, I recommend it to those who are in this situation, and good job amd!
First of all, great video overall, there are a few details I didn't know about AMD drivers, thanks for that, and YES I see it in full. :-D I'm also from PT and I watch a bunch of tech/gaming channels here on YT, and I must say that after many years I had lost hope of finding a channel from someone Portuguese in this space (tech/gaming) on YT that isn't a shit, so thank you and please keep it up. I was really sceptical going to the rx 6800 xt from rtx 2060super regarding the experience of heating issues and driver issues from the times when i had rx 480 before i returned to nvidia again, i just got reference rx 6800xt for 380usd used and couldnt be more happier, undervolted, upped rpm to 1400 and having 65c full load and in context of pc fans i cant hear any more of noise coming from my pc system :) also the tweaks were done in the driver itself as opposed to msi afterburner which i used for rtx 2060super :) the performance is literally 2X while also selling the nvidia gpu some costs were returned and overall upgrade is more than worth it and the experience after i setup the driver settings for my usage type, i just couldnt be anymore happier
You said Radeon Anti Lag was good to have ok and lowers input latency and input lag and increases frame rate if that’s the case why you still keep it disabled and not enable it if it’s better to have on?

Jesus helps me to optimise my pc
No c?
I watched it fully, from what I gathered it is advised to not enable most of the stuff, but rather use the game profiles to do the settings when experiencing problems in a game.
Radeon chill seems like a good option for people using small form factor pc or laptops. Im guessing it might help with extending battery life on a gaming laptop.
Maybe, but unless you stand still in the game a lot, it wont make much difference
@@AncientGameplays it also caps the fps a bit under the max if you only use your keyboard and not move your mouse. it's useful for cutscenes and for example apex in loading screens and the main menu, saving a lot of unnecessary stress for the gpu
I watched the whole thing! Learned some stuff. Thank you!
Another great video and a much needed update to a topic. Thank you so much! So for my personal experience, I play mostly WoW (World of Warcraft). I learned that Radeon anti lag is so important. I raid sometimes and do mythic dungeons. It's so frustrating to die from a mechanic that you think you're not in, but still get hit by it. The setting does exactly what you think it does. MMOs and this setting are a must. I can even see competitive fps games. As long as your internet is fine and you can't blame that, then pop on anti lag. You'll thank me later
Hey Nick, thanks for watching, the support and the comment :D
@@AncientGameplays Hey boss I used the settings for my XTX, as well as using Ryzen Master for my 7945x (I believe), Fortnite crashes a bit. I have tried moving the power from 1130 and 1150 in between there. I also went back and used just the default in adrenaline and no crashes.nwhat info do you need so I can figure out the issue. I get some awesome fps with your settings just want to stop the game crashing
@@AncientGameplays please make a video about max vram usage on radeon cards! i own 6700xt and my friend own 6600xt! both we struggling with max vram usage at idle and 58°c + temperature always! ( at first it uses 100mhz vram but now 1990mhz+ also at first its temp idle on 37-39°c and now its always 55-60°c 🥺)
I just went from a 1080Ti to the 7900XTX as my first ever AMD GPU so this video is a big help. I am abolutely in love with the Adrenaline software!
I will update this video as many new features were added recently :D
@AncientGameplays I heard they are removing AMD Link so I downloaded it just now. I hope it still works after they end it.
I do love the performance gains of these new GPUs, but I must say I was disappointed in the results of power draw for the performance due to Radeon saying how power efficient they are.
Off topic a bit, but their Zen 4 lineup is especially amazing in regards to their efficiency when tinkered with.
Rx 7000 efficiency will be on the x800 and mostly x700 models
The Ryzen 7 7700 can even be cooled passively with noctua NH-P1.
A almost full video for this it was necesary, Thanks Fabio cause in spanish i don't find this video.
New AMD user here, just waiting for my RX 7900XT to arrive later next week, thank you for all the information in this video. You helped me a lot, I was a little bit worried since I just switched to team red. Great explanation, youre helping this community a lot. Keep doing great stuff!! Subbed to your channel.!!
Thanks 💪💪
I have an rx6700xt red devil 12gb and want to know if that settings will serve well ? And if you have patreon, I want to join please I new in pc gaming and have so many questions
Yes, they do apply. Cheers
Thank you so much for taking your time to make this well detailed, helpful video, sir. I have learned a great deal.
Thank you as well
Thank you Jesus! 😄 i will come again for your next videos!!
Just switched to AMD and here I am.... new subscriber.
Thanks for your content
Thank you as well, check more in my video section
23.3.2 drivers are out
Video Tomorrow :D

My-my! that hour went fast! I had your vid on one monitor and MSFS 2020 on the other. Anyway great vid you clarified an issue that was most vexing to me to d) with the recordings not playing as I didnt have AVI (I knew nothing of these different formats). Anyway FINALLY ! I can record as I switch to the HEVC option
Videos muito bons e muito detalhados. Desde que mudei para a AMD o teu canal ajudou-me muito! #TEAMRED

nice man!
Thank you yisus, nice video!
Thank you for making a video to go through all of that, I get overwhelmed when so many options and customization is given to things. I'm a fan of presets so I can just go play and not have to spend so much time researching, this will help me tweak the Game mode preset if something is turned on that I don't like. Cheers
Glad I helped :D

You shouldn't say it isn't great, as that very much is an awesome feature and as it's not forced on anyone, I think it's great AMD gives that.
Doesn't really matter if it is free or not. The point is it looks bad. Also, your paying all these features when buying a card
@@AncientGameplays You kinda didn't really read or simply ignored what I wrote. It's not that bad & as said, it helps PCs that isn't as new or strong, get playable FPS in competitive games. And in such games, FPS matters more than looks.
update 23.3.2
Will come as well :D
Don't do it and are making it so you can't monitor your memory junction temperature
literally couldnt have came at a better time. new hardware so cheap and new software? god youre so hot for dis XD :o
You are AMD Jesus. I am upgrading my good old GTX 980Ti to RX 6600, been watching Your videos and learning new interesting things about AMD.🤣 I did watch this video to the end.🤣
Thank you haha. That's a nice upgrade. Better perf with MUCH lower power draw
Been using nvidia ever since I upgraded from an ATI Rage pro back in the day. Been using a gtx1060 6gb since 2016. The gpu market is so wonky right now so I opted for a RX 6700 10gb to hold over till the gpu manufacturers get their act together. (225 bucks) This channel has all the relevant information to make the switch from nvidia and it's greatly appreciated.
Thank you
FJB!
I only make 4 changes after installing AMD Software.
1. Disable AMD FreeSync Premium
2. Change Color Depth to 8 bpc (although I have an 8 bit monitor, AMD loves to set it to 10 bpc for some reason)
3. Change Texture Filtering Quality to Performance
4. Change Tessellation to "Use application settings"
1. You're disabling smoothness...lol
2. You have 8bit+frt which is better than just 8bit, your loosing "quality"
3. You're losing quality once again
4. This is actually a good thing for some cards (not all).
Man, those are some bad decisions there, especially the Freesync one
@@AncientGameplays
1. I don't like the way the crosshair reacts to my mouse movements when FreeSync is enabled. I only play esports games
2. It's 6 bit+FRC. Gigabyte G24F
3. It only affects DX9 games. I play an old game called APB Reloaded which performs better with this set to performance
You have helped me so much!! As an AMD user and a senior citizen, you are my go to guy for all AMD INFO !!! Thank you and keep up the good work !!!

OMG! I was just looking for a new one this one...surprise and super happy when I saw the notification. Watch now. Will edit comment after, haha.
Thanks!
I'm also from PT and I watch a bunch of tech/gaming channels here on YT, and I must say that after many years I had lost hope of finding a channel from someone Portuguese in this space (tech/gaming) on YT that isn't a shit, so thank you and please keep it up.
By the way, you have a new subscriber. :-D
A small note: Mb and Kb are not the same as MB and KB, therefore they are not MegaBytes or KiloBytes, they are Megabits and Kilobits which makes them completely different units/values, for example 20Mb it's about 2.38MB. ;-)
----------
I just copped a 7900 xtx and your videos are a godsend! Thanks for being the amd goat!
Thank ypu gor watching!
Insane Video, will be following it tomorrow! Good Night.
Thank you, have a good night!
Never said it improves the fps. I do say you cant use chill at the same time, and I eant to limit the fps
I know any random gamer might not be as excited as I saw to see this, but CUSTOM COLOR! 😆I finally have a damn brightness setting for the lightning fast ASUS VG279 I bought.
45:35 Question, does AMD also have this issues like NVIDIA where stereo track from microphone is saved as mono but only in left channel? I always had this issue with NVIDIA not being able to force mono on replay/recording. I do also have focusrite but 2i4 1 gen.
Humm, i used it for lives, you just need to put the mic as mono i the windows settings as well
@@AncientGameplays there is only stereo, most of audio interfaces have only 2 channel option.
11:22 FSR option isn't available on Polaris cards. Polaris needs it most and they did not enable it. :(
Rsr, not fsr. Fsr is available
These yearly Adrenalin videos are epic, thanks!
